"The build quality is also outstanding. ... Both the earbuds themselves and the case are made with brushed aluminum. ... The most premium feeling earbud I've ever owned."
"The nuna feels the sturdiest, highest end, and the thing doesn’t budge."

"I've used a razer Basilisk v2 pretty much 9-5 for the last couple of years, and it's still working perfectly. ... Some cosmetic wear, but nothing that effects functionality."

"For the current sale price (I paid £30/$40) and with the x2 quality tip sets included, it’s a no brainer. ... The Divinus Velvet tips alone are like $20-25 and I use only them with my Fudu after trying 8-10 different types."
"literally saved thousands on takeout over the years"
"However, if you’re able to snap it up at around $40, then its bang-for-buck score would easily hit a full 5."

"a browser-based software called VIA that lets you program macros and expand the functionality of your keyboard (not all keyboards have support for such software, especially at lower budgets)"
"The Keychron is QMK/VIA and has much better software via their launcher for easy customization, that's probably it's biggest strength in comparing the two."
"Go with a VIA board if you can, like the new QMK RK R75. ... Most of the RK and Redragon boards use their Windows drivers that are pretty much completely pants compared to VIA. The ones I've listed have a completely different firmware base and drivers - the QMK open source firmware and the VIA or in a few cases VIAL open-source web-apps for drivers."

"my razer black widow that broke only a year and a half. ... The A key became unresponsive. ... It was actually the second one i got that had the same issue, but the first one lasted 4 years and one of those were during lockdown so i chalked it up heavy use. The second one broke within the two year warranty ... Razer sucks dont buy their stuff. ... I've had nothing but trouble with razer products, even straight out the box I've had issues a couple of times."

> The two main features i want is to be able to rotate the key-caps to be upside down. That would be a matter of getting uniform profile keycaps so the top are flat. > As well as the keyboard coming with some sort of software that allows for customisation (key actualisation mostly) Pretty much all of them. [My list of VIA boards](https://github.com/ArgentStonecutter/keyboards/blob/main/via-boards.md). Your best bet in that price range would be something like the Redragon K715 or the QMK version of the Royal Kludge RK R75: * https://www.amazon.co.uk/Redragon-K715-Programmable-Mechanical-Dedicated/dp/B0DKXLDJ24 * https://www.amazon.co.uk/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R75-Mechanical/dp/B0CWGR5KM9
I can't speak to the sound quality, but pretty much all wireless keyboards also work wired so you shouldn't rule it out. Looking at Amazon AU I see the [Keychron V1](https://www.amazon.com.au/Keychron-Mechanical-Programmable-Hot-swappable-Compatible/dp/B0DPPJBQ67), [Royal Kludge RK R75](https://www.amazon.com.au/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R75-Mechanical/dp/B0CWGR5KM9), [Womier Q75](https://www.amazon.com.au/Womier-Keyboard-Topographic-Mechanical-Swappable/dp/B0DQV22S2T), and [Akko 5075S VIA](https://www.amazon.com.au/Akko-5075S-Mechanical-Programmable-Accessories/dp/B0CWX6Q4XH). All of these are boards I have tried or tried a different board in the same line, and can recommend. The Akko board is a barebones so you will have to add switches and keycaps... I would suggest the Akko Creamy Purple Pro for the switches if you go that way.
If you want a quiet keyboard, you need to get silent switches and replace the "percussive" ones that come with it. There's a whole mythos that's grown up about the noise keyboards make. You can get a set of Outemu silent switches for about $18-$25 depending on the size of your keyboard. * https://www.amazon.com/PAKJEL-Outemu-Pre-Lubed-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B0CFF76YRG * https://www.amazon.com/KPREPUBLIC-Tactile-Mechanical-Keyboard-Factory/dp/B0D773KH74 * https://www.amazon.com/KPREPUBLIC-Outemu-Mechanical-Keyboard-Tactile/dp/B0BZ48GW7K * https://www.amazon.com/Metrickeys-Pre-Lubed-Tactile-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B0DQQ3T3RH Try one of these keyboards: * [Redragon K717 Pro](https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K717-Programmable-Mechanical-Dampening/dp/B0DL578X3K) * ($30) * [CIDOO QK61](https://www.amazon.com/MechLands-QK61-Programmable-Swappable-Mechanical/dp/B0D8VMD3P3) * ($60) * [Skyloong GK61 QMK/VIA](https://www.amazon.com/MOLGRIA-Dual-Space-Swappable-Double-Shot-Mechanical/dp/B0CZ9F8P76) * ($54) * [Royal Kludge RK61 QMK/VIA](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-Mechanical-Ultra-Compact/dp/B089GN2KBT) * ($40) * [Womier WK61 Pro](https://www.amazon.com/COSTOM-WK61-PRO-Mechanical-Swappable/dp/B0F5HYHWY8) * ($31) * [Womier VK66 Pro](https://www.amazon.com/Percent-Keyboard-Mechanical-Mounted-Backlit/dp/B0CDC14PL5) * ($39) * [KBDcraft Adam 60%](https://kbdcraft.store/products/adam) * ($70 lego case) * [KBDCraft Lilith 65%](https://kbdcraft.store/products/lilith) ($85 lego case) * [Akko YU01](https://www.amazon.com/Akko-Mechanical-Transparent-Swappable-Bluetooth/dp/B0DJ77MY6V) * ($129) * [XVX M67 Jadestone](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHCRJPR6) * ($47) * [Inland Gaming MK Pro 75](https://www.microcenter.com/product/664376/inland-gaming-mk-pro-75-barebones-keyboard) * ($85 barebones, $100 prebuilt) * [Womier RD75](https://www.amazon.com/Womier-RD75-Pro-Mechanical-Swappable/dp/B0DG82QD1X) ($95 w/ coupon) * [Kiiboom Loop75](https://www.amazon.com/KiiBoom-Loop-75-Structure-Mechanical/dp/B0D62RNXXM) * ($85 w/ coupon) * [Womier WD75](https://womierkeyboard.com/products/womier-wd75) * (wood! $86, $76 without the ugly caps) * [Glencreag WK84](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DYDM9N49) * (wood! $95 w/ coupon) * [Jamesdonkey J2](https://www.amazon.com/JamesDonkey-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Swappable/dp/B0DQWL5GS7) * (make sure you get the hotswap version) * [Redragon K715](https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K715-Programmable-Mechanical-Dedicated/dp/B0DKXLDJ24) * ($32.50) * [Royal Kludge RK R65 QMK/VIA](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R65-Mechanical/dp/B0CNP1BG1W) * (make sure you get the QMK/VIA version, $48 with coupon) * [Royal Kludge RK R75 QMK/VIA](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R75-Mechanical/dp/B0CWGR5KM9) (make sure you get the QMK/VIA version, $51 with coupon) * [Royal Kludge RK R87 Pro QMK/VIA](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R87-Pro/dp/B0D5B2LRB5) (hotswap knob(!), $55) * [iLoveBee B87](https://www.amazon.com/iLovBee-Wireless-Mechanical-Bluetooth-Swappable/dp/B0D1XLXGBK) ($51) * [ElecFox Linky87](https://www.elecfox.co/products/linky-87-tkl-customized-mechanical-keyboard-87-keys-wired-wireless-bluetooth-led-gaming-keyboard) ($40) * [Monsgeek M1 v5](https://www.monsgeek.com/product/monsgeek-m1-v5-via-1980s-mechanical-keyboard/) ($95) * [Akko 5075B VIA](https://en.akkogear.com/product/5075b-via) ($60 barebones) * YMDK [YMD75](https://ymdkey.com/collections/75-diy) ($64-$110 diy) and [YMD96](https://ymdkey.com/collections/96-diy) ($60-$142 diy) * [Monsgeek M2 v5 VIA](https://www.monsgeek.com/product/monsgeek-m2-v5-via-mechanical-keyboard) ($120) [More](https://github.com/ArgentStonecutter/keyboards/blob/main/via-boards.md)...

The new QMK versions of the RK61, RK R65, RK R75, and RK R87 are quite nice. All their other boards are distilled ass because of their lousy restrictive software. I had one of the old R87s and gave it away because it was so awful.
Any of these 75% QMK/VIA boards, plus Outemu Silent Yellow Jade switches... I have at least older versions of some of these (starred) and the others I just like the cut of their jibs. And the Outemu Silent Yellow Jade is a tactile switch that feels good and is ASMR-quiet. Installing silent switches is the absolute best thing you can do to get a quiet board. * [Inland MK Pro 75](https://www.microcenter.com/product/664376/inland-gaming-mk-pro-75-barebones-keyboard) * (aluminum, knob) * [Womier WD75](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DT8SP79R) * (wood) * [Glencreag WK84](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DYDM9N49) * (wood) * [Jamesdonkey J2](https://www.amazon.com/JamesDonkey-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Swappable/dp/B0DQWPYNH7) * (knob, make sure you get the hotswap version) * [Womier RD75](https://www.amazon.com/Womier-RD75-Pro-Mechanical-Swappable/dp/B0DG82QD1X) * [Kiiboom Loop75](https://www.amazon.com/KiiBoom-Loop-75-Structure-Mechanical/dp/B0D62RNXXM) (aluminum, knob) * [Monsgeek M1 v5](https://www.amazon.com/MONSGEEK-M1-Topographic-Hot-swappable-Side-Printed/dp/B0DQ77WGM3) * (aluminum, knob) * [Akko 5075S VIA](https://en.akkogear.com/product/5075s-via) (knob) * [YMDK YMD75](https://ymdkey.com/products/walnut-wood-case-qmk-via-ymd75-v3-hot-swap-84-75-fully-programmable-pcb-stabilizers-kit-support-ansi-iso) * (various cases, this one's walnut) A bit cheaper looking: * [Redragon K715](https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K715-Programmable-Mechanical-Dedicated/dp/B0DKXLDJ24) (knob) * [Royal Kludge RK R75 QMK/VIA](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R75-Mechanical/dp/B0CWGR5KM9) (knob, make sure you get the QMK/VIA version) Not QMK but VIA and a really nice board for modding: * [Gamakay SN75](https://www.amazon.com/GK-GAMAKAY-SN75-Mechanical-Programmable/dp/B0CF2QJ45L) (knob) Right now the Kiiboom Loop 75 is the lushest board in this list and it's 50% off on Amazon US, which makes it $85. Disclaimers: Avoid Epomaker or Keychron unless you enjoy abusive customer support experiences. The Keychron website is a good place to browse layouts so long as you're just windowshopping. My mention of specific boards is not a general endorsement of Royal Kludge and Redragon. Most of their boards are completely ass, they just have a few recent boards with QMK firmware that are decent. If you go with Royal Kludge or Skyloong only buy those specific boards linked because they have older proprietary boards with the same model name.
I would strongly recommend against that specific Royal Kludge model. The QMK/VIA versions of the RK61/R75/R65/R87 are OK. Magnetic is not going to give you better battery life. Even TMR requires more power than simple switches. Nuphy Air75 v2 perhaps.
If you want a silent keyboard, and you care about also getting a decent keyboard for the money, buy a keyboard you like and replace the switches with silent tactiles yourself. There are very few prebuilts shipping with silent switches and many are overpriced. Outemu makes decent inexpensive silent switches and you really can't get better actually silent switches... I've tried a bunch. Silent Peach v3 for linear, Silent Yellow jade for tactile. [Notes](https://github.com/ArgentStonecutter/keyboards/blob/main/replacing_switches.md) on replacing switches. PS: If you're in Europe these are kind of amazing: * [Sharkoon Skiller SGK50 S3](https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Sharkoon-Skiller-Barebone-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B0F8HQFGVL) (€130) * [Sharkoon Skiller SGK50 S2](https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Sharkoon-Skiller-Barebone-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B0F8HXJJG6) (€140) * [Sharkoon Skiller SGK50 S4](https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Sharkoon-Skiller-Barebone-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B0F8HVQCQM) (€120) They also have plastic boards that are like half the price, but damn those wooden cases are sweet.
If your budget is strictly under 5k. Go with RK R75 (Wired, build quality is great) If you can extend your budget to 6k. You have 2 options the RK M75 (wireless, build quality is great, clacky sound) or the Aula F75 (wireless, Thocky, decent quality) There's one slightly expensive option as well around 8k. Rainy 75. I think you can find this on Genesispc PS: I prefer 75% keybs for both gaming and work
I have the RK R75 (practically the same thing) and I bought it on AliExpress for €50. The best keybaord, hands down. No keybaord at this price point is better. Especially the grey switches. Man, they sound soooo good. Idk much about latency, but it's wired only so it shouldn't have noticeable latency.
Ah ok 75% . Technically not the opposite of tkl . Only opposite would be something like a 20% board like this https://preview.redd.it/mjv6xjqkx6te1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=357e55d7d52957b339d16d08846d90edc145aa02 Anyways if ur fine with wired rk r75 is good. If you don't mind not being able to remap ur board on mac aula f75, ajazz ak 820 max or vgn n75 pro are also good options . Just to clarify all 3 work on mac but you can only remap r75 on mac
Because you have very specific sound experience preference. I would say buy a barebones or mod something cheaper with extra switches Royal Kludge RK R87 PRO - 3800 on Genesis PC, mod it with switches that you like, (has qmk, per key rgb and every feature you i may like), the downside is , the stock switches on this keeb in my opinion are very noisy, but that can be solved as you can buy switches with money that's left Arion Frost on meckeys - (PURE BAREBONES -6k) (QMK / VIA) Stars80 v2 \[7,400 RS\] (BAREBONES)(QMK / VIA) VTK Multix TKL Barebones (4k price , BAREBONES) \[software might have issue, cause i have read its latest models comes with VIA, but some earlier ones didnot support it. Plus not much info on site too, maybe ask someone who has used it \] Akko 5087S (VIA support) (BEST CHOICE, 5k), you will get ewnough money to change switches too Akko 5075S (barebones for 6k nearly) (QMK/VIA) RK R75 - (Buy K silver switches, can't say if you may find the noice good, in my experience , the sound is creamy, but you will get enough money to buy swtiches) (QMK/VIA) Hope it heelps
as someone who first had royal kludge r75 or whatever and now owns the aula epomaker 75 or whatever (bad with names sorry), i couldn’t recommend them enough!!!
I have a 50$ rk 75 lab for a year now and so far works very well, worked the second plugged it in, I play games aswell and haven’t noticed delay so
My current one is the royal kludge r75. I recommend it, it's like sub $50 and it's great
i am using a HyperX Alloy Origins for gaming. It has been great. I prefer the switches of Hyperx over Razer, Corsair, Logitech. Post sales service of Logitech has been the best. Same day repair and replacement here in Delhi, India. Overall though, I find linear switches gaming keyboard bad for typing. I make a lot of mistakes. As I don't game as much anymore 😭, I have been using Royal Kludge RK75 with tactile switches and it has been the best keyboard for me. The typing experience is amazing. In gaming also it fairs quite well, but for competitive games the wired Hyperx still feels faster (very slightly)
Afaik the [Aula F75](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/pdp-i4258953667.html?spm=a2o4l.searchlist.list.1.3f1a7f7aDQjtFK) should be a linear switch. Meaning no clickity sounds, so it should be silent Royal Kludge [Rk R75](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/royal-kludge-rk-r75-mechanical-keyboard-75-tkl-wired-with-volume-knob-gasket-mount-rgb-backlit-with-software-mda-profile-pbt-keycaps-hot-swappable-i4307510729-s24224315265.html) also has a volume knob
For the Aula F75, either the Star Vector or Reaper Axis is pretty quiet. Meaning there is no CLICKING sounds on the SWITCH. The only noise that can be heard depends on how heavy the users type with the keys bottoming out. as for the RK R75, not entirely sure about the yellow switch. But the red linear sqitch should be silent enough. The switches that are annoyingly loud are the tactile ones, specially the blue switches. If you still hate the sound of the keys bottoming out. you can get something like a [sound dampener](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/feker-switch-sound-dampeners-sheet-soft-pad-dimple-foam-sponge-for-mechanical-keyboard-i5022473895-s29396862423.html?&search=pdp_v2v?spm=a2o4l.pdp_revamp.recommendation_2.5.56604794vy8rCk&mp=1&scm=1007.16389.286994.0&clickTrackInfo=56635a85-cfac-4cb8-9c79-b3142cbcf894__5022473895__24965__trigger2i__287002__0.447__0.447__0.0__0.0__0.0__0.447__4__null__null__null__null__null__null____199.0__0.5025125628140703__5.0__8__99.0__1986160,1972114,1972319,1985684,1981450,101718,1979371,1983779,1983978,1973792,1973793,1981449,1978478,1979634,1973283,1977462__null__null__null__3650.16504_955.3631__null__32104__null__0.0__0.0________null__null__0) https://preview.redd.it/rzj3zc322maf1.png?width=930&format=png&auto=webp&s=30c5752acc6444f67d89ae6a4acaf4f577c83d06
