hi i really dont know where to ask this my apex pro mini has been acting up lately [https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-pro?keyboardSize=mini&connectivityType=wireless&keyboardLanguage=english&srsltid=AfmBOoq014nGlZVmhXP3eS1\_k99sIK56S8tEh9Gix4nVs6AAX1TzPca3](https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-pro?keyboardSize=mini&connectivityType=wireless&keyboardLanguage=english&srsltid=AfmBOoq014nGlZVmhXP3eS1_k99sIK56S8tEh9Gix4nVs6AAX1TzPca3) whenever i press ALT it decides to have a mind of its own and proceeds to press ALT+X+space so when i press alt it opens up this panel (image below) and i hate this cause using alt tab is way worse now https://preview.redd.it/z7i1ni0ocjeg1.png?width=265&format=png&auto=webp&s=4368003496161de9c1718c6badb78d41eecb8a46
SteelSeries Apex pro Mini Wireless and Rival 3 gen 2 Wireless - no cords to be pulled by the toddlers and they don't require that much space when stored
Not really one simple answer, it's not a one size fits all thing, been PC gaming for over 20-years, went through plenty of keyboards and mice, and it took me a while to find what I like, what form factor etc. For me, these days, depending on which games I'm playing, I use a combination of: * Logitech G502 X Lightspeed and a Steelseries Apex Pro Gen 3 TKL Wireless * Logitech Pro 2 Lightspeed and a Steelseries Apex Pro Mini Wireless I also helped a friend build his first system last month (Also a 9800X3D and 9070XT), and he ended up with a cheap / cheerful peripheral setup which totalled around £130, which when I used it actually felt pretty nice, that consisted of: * Razor Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed and a Epomaker G84 HE Keyboard My advice would be to watch and read reviews, look for pros that you consider key to your needs and cons that you can live with. As, regardless of what people say, you'll never find anything that's perfect. I would also say that these are peripherals where price doesn't always reflect quality and them being “the best”, so don't fall into that trap.
Anything but steelseries my apex pro mini RGB broke after a few months as well as my caps lock key having a very inconsistent bottom out actuation. If money is an option look at other like Irok68 or like pulsar. I switch from my Apex pro to an Irok68 and I can definitely say it’s a way better KB
I will say it depends on the game that you play. If you play games that require strafing such as fortnite or valorant I would say it makes a difference on what kind of switches you buy. Hall effect switches are magnetic and allow the sensor to detect the switch anywhere in the key press. This mean they allow you to set when the switch activates and displays on your screen. So you can set them to really fast .1 actuation so that you can press it as fast as possible and it also allows you to have rapid trigger. Rapid trigger basically allows the switch to release and insantly deactivate this allows quick presses. If you are not playing these sort of games it doesnt matter that much on what you get. I would personally just get somethign that is smooth and has good stabalizers so its not too rattaly. I would say go for a hunstman mini if you want a decent overall option and they also come in different sizes as well. If you want a competetive top line I would get a wooting 60he. Apex pro mini and tkl are also rly good options for competetive gaming.
