I will say it depends on the game that you play. If you play games that require strafing such as fortnite or valorant I would say it makes a difference on what kind of switches you buy. Hall effect switches are magnetic and allow the sensor to detect the switch anywhere in the key press. This mean they allow you to set when the switch activates and displays on your screen. So you can set them to really fast .1 actuation so that you can press it as fast as possible and it also allows you to have rapid trigger. Rapid trigger basically allows the switch to release and insantly deactivate this allows quick presses. If you are not playing these sort of games it doesnt matter that much on what you get. I would personally just get somethign that is smooth and has good stabalizers so its not too rattaly. I would say go for a hunstman mini if you want a decent overall option and they also come in different sizes as well. If you want a competetive top line I would get a wooting 60he. Apex pro mini and tkl are also rly good options for competetive gaming.

What about the Wooting 80he or 60he? I love the look of the 60he, but it was out of my budget. I personally went with the steelseries apex pro mini, because there was a good sale. Really happy with it so far!

i mean i bought 2 budget hall effect keyboards (i collect “gaming” keyboards) and from my experience they sounded and felt horrible, key caps were cheap and got worn out very easy, but you can also just replace those, it’s not a big deal, and finally the latency was horrible. for example, in fortnite i average around 10 ping and as a very mechanical player, i felt a huge latency and played better on my razer huntsman, because it had significantly less latency even if it didn’t have the adjustable actuation. if you want my advice, don’t buy one and save for a wooting tbh. or, for cheaper an apex pro mini. not worth the 50+ dollars your gonna spend after tax and shipping

Anything but steelseries my apex pro mini RGB broke after a few months as well as my caps lock key having a very inconsistent bottom out actuation. If money is an option look at other like Irok68 or like pulsar. I switch from my Apex pro to an Irok68 and I can definitely say it’s a way better KB
