not sure what kind of customization you want. But if its just general office use and you dont need a lot of buttons. Id say go with logitech. Their TKL keyboard is hotswappable and the g502 is good enough. Same for headphones. Nothing fancy but all works great. If you want a bit of trouble but a bit more customization but still want a single app. Steelseries is the next one for me. Nova pro wireless headphones is great, aerox 5 got buttons for days and their wireless TKL is ight. Only thing is they are all a bit overpriced like razer. Both logitech and steelseries app are buggy and needed if you run macros and audio setups. Both can crash on you in the heat of the moment in games. But with logitech you can mostly do it all once and close the app in the background and forget. GG finds a dirty spot on your face and turns into a mole. The customization in the GG app makes it appealing to some people, but annoying to some. Both brand require different wireless dongles for each peripheral so get that usb hub ready. I used to be a logitech guy since I had a g29 wheel which also use the same app. I switched to steelseries for a while with the siberia 800s headset, then the arctis pro wireless. Both amazing headsets that only the astro a20 (bought by logitech now) can compete against. I now use a keychron q13 max and a razer naga pro v2 with a beyerdynamic 1990pro since this setup only require me to use razer app. And razer app, tho with its buggy software, once you successfully... ONCE YOU SUCCESSFULLY AND ONLY THEN, you can save everything ONLINE by signing up their account, and ONLY THEN, you can forget about the app ever existed. BTW, keychron uses web browser so its customization is EXTREMELY limited... but hea, everything is saved on-board. LIKE LOGITECH DID BEFORE!!!! then they got rid of it...
r/buildapc • Best Brand for Keyboard, Mouse, and Headset? Looking for a Single Software Setup ->Since most just want to answer about how awful your brother is, I’ll break the trend and talk about Keyboards. I loved the Logitech G915 TKL and regret selling it for the bigger version which is actually a cracking keyboard and the new model is meant to be amazing. I currently have the steelseries apex pro tkl wireless and love it. But I still think the 915 was better. My eldest has a keychron, I forget the model, but my oh my that typing sound and feel is to die for and it weighs a tonne. I suspect if your brother tried breaking it, it would break him first as the build quality is so good. Keyboards are incredibly personal and infinitely customisable. So it highly depends on your usage. Before you even think of switches… Do you need wireless? Do you care much about typing feel and sound or are you on headphones so won’t notice? Do you want to type or just game? Do you want rgb? Do you want shine through keys? Do you want media controls or macro creation? Any special features or nice to haves? It’s a lot of choice to say the least. But typing this I think I just convinced myself to buy a new 915 tkl. Damn you! 😂
r/steelseries • So… New keyboard recommendations anyone? ->I used the fun60 as an example and specifically asked for no one to tell stats on the largest 3 analog kb companies, I literally have an analog rn but it has shit build quality and is falling apart so I want an upgrade, and if I will upgrade I don't want to waste money on a razer, wooting, or steelseries that are overpriced asf, I want to know if there are any genuine downsides to the "budget" analog keyboards compared to the primary companies, for perspective I currently have a 2023 Apex Pro TKL
r/keyboards • the absolute BEST analog keyboard ->performance wise, steelseries does have some pretty close numbers to wooting, but I wouldn't buy from them again because of their terrible build quality, my stabs are literally falling off of my steelseries apex pro tkl
r/keyboards • the absolute BEST analog keyboard ->Best gaming keyboard seems to be a Wooting. A 4 year warranty tells me a lot about a company. What’s your budget? I just went from a steel series Apex Pro TKL Gen 2 to Keychron Q1 HE. Have a Wooting 80HE on the way so I’ll keep either the Wooting or Keychron. Steel Series is 100% going back. It felt good upgrading to the Steel Series but the Keychron is on another level.
r/steelseries • Best steelseries keyboard currently? ->Pc tower itself, probably around 2K as a very lowball. I would say 1200, but inflation and tariffs (if you’re American) have raised prices along with low availability on parts. THAT is for building a pc. Prebuilt I’d say around 1500-2.3k. The minimum size monitors would be 27 inch Monitors. Those are around 150 (MSI) - to 500 (Samsung like mine). Both can do 4k, both can do 200+ fps My keyboard is a Steelseries apex pro, it was 200 at the time. My mouse was around like 40 or 50 bucks, a g5 hero with customizable weights and a couple extra buttons and a dpi button. You can get both a keyboard and mouse for under 200 if you’re on a budget. And there’s half keyboards that fps players use that are cheaper.
r/apexuniversity • How much would I need to spend to get a pc/monitor/keyboard and mouse that can play apex at a high fps? ->SteelSeries worked for me... Apex Pro keyboard and Aerox 5 mouse....w Novo Pro. Their GG and Sonar worked well with little bloat, everything served a function (key actuation points were important for me).
r/buildapc • Best Brand for Keyboard, Mouse, and Headset? Looking for a Single Software Setup ->I very much like the Hall Effect one I got from SS. Apex pro I think? Can't remember but it was 'spensive. Adjustable actuation distance on the keys is great.
r/steelseries • So… New keyboard recommendations anyone? ->I have steelseries apex pro and its the same for me. currently considering to buy new keyboard because the backspace sometimes not registering keypress. wont buy another steelseries
r/keyboards • Best Full Size (Gaming) Keyboard 2025? ->What the poster above implied is that stock of course contactless are the smoothest. When you lubricate a good mechanical switch, however... I beg to differ. I've laid hands and used Wooting HE keebs and Steelseries Apex Pro and I still feel my lubed Marshmallows are smoother (and sound several degrees of magnitude better). Thomas has great reviews and a soothing voice but can be mildly infuriating with some opinions. However, they're his opinions and he's entitled to them and he's mostly correct :)
r/MechanicalKeyboards • Modern Rapid Trigger keyboards are all extremely fast ->Wooting or steelseries apex pro. Every other keyboard is a waste of money if you mainly play fps. I bought the apex pro about a year ago and I cannot stress the difference between this and classical mechanical keyboards enough. They feel like trash going back to.
r/buildapc • What is the best gaming keyboard right now? ->Bro you don't know what you are talking about. Wootings keyboard or the steel series apex Pro is a game changer and a completely different experience than standard mechanical keyboards with the classic red or brown switches. If you are a serious cs player you absolutely should consider buying such a keyboard instead of the other trash gaming keyboards that exist.
r/cs2 • What Keyboard are y‘all using? ->Steel Series apex Pro. Amazing switches and the same technology as the wooting keyboards. Any other mechanical keyboards suck in comparison. I used cherry reds before for over 10 years.
r/cs2 • What Keyboard are y‘all using? ->Second this I got my Apex Pro in near perfect condition for like 50Euro from some mum off FB marketplace bc her kid didn't like it, there was so many good deals on keyboards
r/LearnCSGO • Best reasonably priced keyboard for cs? ->If you don’t want to plunge into the fully custom KB rabbit hole, top tier is probably Steelseries’ Apex Pro. I don’t think i would recommend it though, it’s quite expensive and I had quite a bad experience with their customers support, which is a shame for a 200€+ keyb.
r/buildapc • What's a keyboard that is considered a high-end keyboard? ->I have been really pleased with mine for about 2 years. Then it started to go bad (bad led and key getting stuck), and Steelseries support has been absolutely awful. I’ll wait for it to definitely die then I switching to another one.
r/buildapc • What are you go to Keyboards? ->I use a SteelSeries Apex Pro... But I don't play ladder xD Still, excellent keyboard.
r/starcraft2 • Best keyboard for StarCraft? ->Just bought a Wooting80he, but I had a steelseries apex pro for years and it served me very well. Steelseries often go on sale. If you want smth more customizable go to drop.com.
r/buildapc • What are you go to Keyboards? ->Spent I think about $120 on my steelseries apex pro. Hall effect keyboards are nice but probably not for everybody. Rapid trigger and snap tap (some games) are nice features to have esp for competitive shooters.
r/PcBuildHelp • Are expensive keyboards even necessary ->SteelSeries Apex. It's big AF and I like it.
r/buildapc • What are you go to Keyboards? ->I've literally just swapped out my 80HE for a Lemokey P1 HE and couldn't be happier. On paper the 80HE has better raw performance , but there's zero difference to me. I wanted one keyboard to do everything, and I hated typing on the Wooting. Not to mention the build quality is just terrible. I've also used a Razor Huntsman V3 Pro and hated the typing on that too. Steelseries Apex was pretty good, but again, just wasn't it and I hated the looks. The P1 has so far been the best all round keyboard I've ever used. Some might be better in certain areas, but they're nowhere near as well rounded. It's also the best typing feel on a HE keyboard I've ever used, and beats out 98% of mechanicals I've had.
r/keyboards • I want to buy a 75% keyboard for competitive gaming ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
