Just wanted to share another magnetic switch budget-friendly option from AliExpress. VGN A75 with Gatheron magnetic switches with hot-swap, 75% layout with volume knob, browser-based software with actuation point adjusting, rapid trigger function and macro options. Keyboard have silicon fulfilment and overall nice sound out of the box, however switches are not lubed so I am planning to lube them soon. What really bought me are the side printed keycaps with gradient colouring. When I saw pics of Monsgeek M1 HE some time ago I immediately fell in love with the design, however price tak was little bit out of my range so I started searching for something more budged friendly. When I saw this keeb I immediately knew I need to order it. Keycaps are the weaker point I think with roughy texture but rather feeling of material being thin. Overall I am happy with my 60$ purchase.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->Well in my humble opinion it’s quite nice. Looking at the spec you can tell the filling inside the case is good. Software is nice, afer a while you know how to setup a keyboard to your preference. Switches have linear feeling but without typical resistance from traditional reds, rather smooth feeling of pressing them. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, I needed to tweak it to me preference for fps games and it took me a week but at this prince point and with this design I can recommend it.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->Thanks for the update! To be honest keycaps does kinda feel cheap and thin but I haven’t noticed that they scratch easily (at least I haven’t scratched mine yet). Nevertheless I was also planning to exchange them but I would like to stay on gradient side-printed style. I found set called “Lunar Eclipse Shine-Through Doubleshot PBT” and they look promising. This is my best options as for now and will definitely update this topic if I’ll exchange them. Thanks!
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->It is, you need first download a driver though and then it’s visible with ATK Web hub. All adjustments O made were made in browser.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->I would say yes. Extra silicone filing is doing its job, at least it’s what I can tell based on more budget purchase I made. Software is a little bit not intuitive but after a while you can figure out how to setup the keyboard the way you want to. Cons are definitely key caps felling a bit cheap but after a while I do not notice it. Overall I can recommend it as budget-friendly HE keyboard. I just like it and it’s upgrade-friendly.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->I won’t be disassembling them, just push them to bottom and lube the walls from the inside. It does the job decently, unless HE switches are so much different from mechanical ones. According to specs the there’s decent filling inside the board, so lubed switches plus new keycap should upgrade the feeling of the keyboard pretty well.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->I use Krytox 205g0, pretty standard stuff. Do not have experience with other products but I was happy with effect when lubed my two previous keyboards.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->does everything work, no problems at all with the rapid trigger and stuff?
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->i noticed the points for the rapid trigger are different. its goes from 4mm to 0.1mm for the a75 and 2.5mm to 0.2mm for the yunzii rt75 https://preview.redd.it/hkr8n1yvtvwd1.png?width=437&format=png&auto=webp&s=ac6d1c02aab589e91441d797dd1a33322c8a0ced
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->yea its working fine, i do wonder if theres any to revert just in case lol
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->I bought one and mine came with outemu beige pink switches instead of gateron.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • VGN A75 magnetic switch keyboard. ->I got it too. I must say I’m really impressed with all the customizations and the modes. You can even change the preset using FN+PgUP. It switches between comfort, sensitive, game and your custom profile, the leds flash green, blue, red and yellow, so you know what profile you are activating. I was coming from a GMMK 1, with gateron browns and Corsair OEM keycaps. This also connects to the pc using a usb-c port, which I wasn’t able to do it with my GMMK. The software is nice, it has a lot of effects for the lights, and you can customize each key to your likings. You don’t need to have the software installed to use the keyboard with your settings, they are stored in the internal memory. The only complaint I have is about the keycaps, they are very very low quality. I bought some EPOMAKER Ombre side shine through. We’ll see next week when they arrive. https://preview.redd.it/n9q8us8mnqvd1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=108cde08dce8775cccb678ed16f8f87fdb1e540d
