I did want the sk65 v2 cause it has the knob but nut65 is better board overall cause it's the next iteration. Honestly knob will be nice but at the end of the day, a superior board is the better pick. I also considered Al68 and epomaker boards but nut is just better overall.
It's based on luckyv2 and if I'm not worng, it doesn't have ball catch mech and pogo pin. I couldn't convince myself to buy a previous generation board for more money just for the knob.
So I just bought the Womier Sk65 V2 keyboard. This is my aluminum keyboard. And so far it's a great experience. I do, however, have a BIG problem when it comes to the VIA configuration AND the battery. 1. First, the VIA configurator , my keyboard isnt showing up when i try to authorize the device, it will say the there are no compatible devices found but my keyboard is plugged in , i can even use the key tester. 2. Second, the battery. When I first used the keyboard, it was around 60 percent. I decided to use it til it went down to the 20s range. So when it came to that , I plugged it in. A few moments later, the indicator stated that it was fully charged , when i checked it again and unplugged it , it went back down to 40 - 37 percent right now , im not noticing any percentage drops it's staying at 37 percent. Im using it on bluetooth mode. I would appreciate it very much if some tips / help will be given to any of my current problems with my keeb. THANK YOU GUYS IN ADVANCE!
The Womier SK65 is on sale for $40 bucks on Amazon. Its a good choice, but a bit clacky. But you can throw in some Flaming Skoul Succubus switches in there and it will be a silent paradise. (around 18 bucks for the Succubuses I think, if you can find them)
So weird seeing comments loving these. I find it terrible and scratchy. But I’ve been a mech keyboard person for a long time and have built customs. But even then I feel like a good Womier keyboard outstrips this anyway.
I'll say mice is fairly recent. Like within the last 4 years if you were an enthusiast and willing to order straight from china, but it's been readily accessible (ie amazon in the usa) for about two. I'm deep into both sides, but it's just nuts what the cheap chinese stuff has. $50 chinese mech keyboards offer things that you had to break apart and customize on factory boards 4+ years ago. like nowadays, look at Womier, akko, aulo, and yunzi for the cheaper stuff. then for high end there's matrix, angry miao, and owllab. then for HE, there's like half of the cheap companies I recommended. I remember when keychron came out. they WERE a cheap chinese keyboard company until you got your board. IIRC they didn't release their first nice aluminum board UNTIL 2023 lol.
