I have a wooting and I'll say its hard af to use the .4mm activation and rapid trigger. brush a kay while trying to hit another key and it activates. let the key go the slightest amount and it deactivates. the software is good tho and even tho its tkl it still has the functionality of a full keyboard. even tho I ended up not using rapid trigger or the .4mm activation, I don't regret buying it.
that would be up too you. Wooting Two is their fullsize but it's 1k polling Wooting 80he was their first 8k keeb Wooting 60 has been revamped into an 8k 60 also has the option of split keyboard. Wooting One is their orignal keyboard they made which uses optical switches. (flaretechs) its still supported by their softwear, but the switches stateside to replace are 1$ EACH. realistically all that matters is the layout. personally i cant stand 60/65 layout cause of having to combo key for F1-12 as i actually use those keys all the time for my main game LOL
if you're going mechanical keyboard. anything with QMK/VIA, that way you don't have to deal with BS proprietary softwear. As for HE. Wooting ALL DAY LONG
Wooting all day long, softwear is unmatched. customer support aswell. keychron might be a contender due to running their own fork of QMK? Venom he pcb is nice but usually tend to suggest if you're on a budget. which you don't really seem to have.
the HE+ basically just added screw-in stabs to their original design the V2 changed it from 1k polling to 8k, and gives the option for a split spacebar realistically, either one you choose is fine. Wooting doesnt stop updates on their gear just because it's a older model. hell they still support the original wooting keyboard they made using flaretech optical switches with their current softwear.
The gravastar Mercury V60 is insane and better than wooting v1 and v2 by my opinion. I have the v1 all maxed out with all the extra blow and wistles from wooting and the optimum case. My new main is the Mercury v60 and more premium than wooting. The new gravastar UFO switches are also something else. You can take that from someone who have more switches than socks at home. I have about 40 different switches at home and the new UFO switches from gravastar blow them all away. The software is also web based like the wooting and is now also as good as wooting web based software. Here is a good look and performance video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNPC7AhY7UI&t=648s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNPC7AhY7UI&t=648s) That said even Optimum say's if owning a wooting v1 the upgrade to v2 is not worth it if you alredy have all the extra like metal case and the Rubber fit. So here is my take for you. If you are looking for a new board coming from somthing old get the Mercury V60 who also now have a black friday deal with the deluxe pack. Its more premium than the wooting and has better performance in the testing. It also has the 8000 polling like the wooting v2 and so on. If you still want something cheaper but insane performance and also using the better and new TMR go for the Monsgeek FUN60 Ultra. It's a normal looking keyboard with a no premium stamp, but you will get the performance but not as good web based software. Depends what you mean by best. All will have similar performance. Wooting has the best software but you can get keyboards like the MadLion for £40 which have better performance across the board. It just isn’t worth buying Wooting at the moment unless you want analog output which is only supported by Wootlity and Synapse. For 75% the K2 HE is a nice board for performance and quality sound/feel. If you only care about performance the Huntsman V3 Pro has the least dead zone space and better control over the switches in stock performance due to weight and stability. Hall sensors are extremely cheap to produce now. When Steelseries revived Hall effect PCBs were quite expensive to produce. Depends what you want honestly.
Sayo works but I had a bad experience with it (started double clicking in like 2 weeks) so I’d recommend a wooting uwu it’s like 40 bucks which is a bit more than the sayo, but in my experience wootings are built like tanks so it’ll probably last longer. (Keep in mind, sayos are literally made by one dude in china, wooting has a whole supply chain and guaranties certain quality)
the plastic 80he is 199, not 280. i bought a $50 HE keyboard (mchose ace60 pro), and the experience has been bad enough that i'm gonna buy the plastic 60he v2 for 175 when it comes out. sometimes keys just stop working for like a second when i'm playing rocket league, no idea why or how to fix it. the software experience is just terrible compared to my wooting uwu that i bought 2 years ago. most of it is just small annoyances/bugs, but it's enough to annoy the shit out of me at times. there's also missing features like analog input that i thought were a given for HE keyboards, but i guess not i don't care about gimmicks like 8 billion hz polling rate or whatever if the experience is gonna be terrible anyway. i haven't had a single issue/bug with my wooting uwu in the 2 years that i've used it, and i use the software a lot. remember that a lot of people would call you insane for even spending $50 on a keyboard instead of just buying an office keyboard for $5. people have different priorities, simple as that. i've got the money to buy a keyboard that's technically overpriced, and if i want it i'm gonna buy it. i don't wanna gamble when buying a new keyboard, nor do i care to act like i'm a superior individual who has evolved past consumerism. i am but a goy after all
Wooting or Keychrons Hall effect keyboards are amazing, I thought it wouldn’t change that much but I really don’t like normal keyboards after it.
I would rather buy a Wooting board than a mass-produced gaming branded boards
Best "performance" wise? Wooting. Best HE custom yet still perform good? A Geon Frog/F1/F2 case with a Venom PCB, gateron jade/owlab/Geon HE switches, stabies/knight v4 stabilizers and GMK keycaps.
