Well if you like t he Rainy75 you could just get another one and put in some silent switches like for example the "Outemu silent peach" switches. I built a keyboard (GMK87) with a set of those switches and it is super quiet. Edit: I just saw the switches you mentioned were silent switches. So yeah if you just want something cheap to make a silent keyboard out of the GMK87 is an all plastic board with a screen and a knob and uses VIA.

Got myself a custon with: - Zuoya gmk87, - Outemu lime switches, - Some koa iirc legend pbt keycaps. And holy shit its a dream. Coming off a clicky switch keyboard, I love how solent it is. Love the light feel of switches as well I live with my parents and do a lot of work in the am, for long peruods of time, and there is no sound to disturb anyone and my hands dont get tired from all the typing. Its absolutely beautiful as well.

Zouya gkm87 in AliExpress.... I got mine with outemu silent peaches v3... Later i got myself a zouya gkm104 and gifted the gkm87 to my gf.... We are both very happy with it. It is tri-conection Its cheaper than anything else in the comments It's been working super well with me for more than 2 years and i play Fortnite with it ( connected by cable ) so its fast enough for me to win games. Haven't tried the other 2 connection methods.... But its because I have no need for them not because they don't work. The only con i have against it is that they don't truly have a deep red led. If I ONLY like red leds like me that is a con. But i painted mine https://preview.redd.it/xvpkqo9bg3uf1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c6f1eec77b7e5ff6fd3aa343714ec5d616ef7288 This is the gkm104 it has a mini screen and a volume knob. Same as the gkm87.... Just smaller

i bought a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro back in 2021 for around $120 and despite being my most expensive keyboard, it gets mogged by my Aula F75 and my Zuoya GMK87 - both of which still costs less combined. no trimode, soldered switches, terrible stabs... i'm never buying keyboards again from the big gaming brands. Sure, there's years worth of tech gap, and these brands were good back in the day, but now you're just paying a premium for the brand. Royal Kludge was already making budget trimode hotswap boards around the same time too

I had previously purchased a GMK87 kit which I thought was awesome except for some key bounce which I eventually figured out was due to me messing up the hotswap sockets on a few keys (it was my first custom mech). Anyway, saw them on sale for the 11/11 singles day sales on AliExpress so I took the opportunity to buy a stack of the kits (they were SO cheap). They arrived today and I put one together (Akko Creamy Yellow Pro V3's). The first thing I noticed was that the display kept showing just some default animation which was different from my original which would actually show a clock and the BT info etc. Next I noticed upon switching between wired and 2.4Ghz Alt+Tab becomes Win+Tab as in the keyboard thought that it had been switched to mac. Like every time I switch between 2.4Ghz and wired (I have another computer I have to periodically do stuff on) it skitzes out and I have to reset the mac/win switch back and forth. So I figured likely firmware right? Does anyone know where the latest firmware is located at? All that I could find was some update listed in the description of a youtube video from like 2 years ago (links to a dropbox). Edit: I built another keyboard from another one of the kits I had purchased and it's definitely the firmware on the board as the most recently built keyboard has the same animation and does not suffer from the win/mac bug.

Hello :) I would start with a keyboard that is closest to your taste, whether it is a full format, tkl or 60%. As a requirement for your new keyboard, it would be that you can have a wired, Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz connection. For the switches, I recommend the Gateron Milky Yellow, then the KTT Kang White v3, Leobog Reaper, Leobog Gray Wood. In my case I am on the 60-65% keyboard boat, you can take a look at the Cidoo Qk61 V2 or gmk61, cidoo nebula, classroomf65 or epomaker pastel 64. Then there are barebone keyboards like the gmk61 (without switches or keycaps), gmk67 V2, gmk87. Finally, if you want a keyboard with an aluminum finish, I suggest you look for this same sub.
