It's funny cause I literally had the same problem and same thread sort of! I ended up choosing the ATK Y9 Ult because I wasn't too aware of the MChose and got it off the ATK website. It was about 50$ cause they had the spring sale :) Which is slightly cheaper than the MChose for me in Malaysia lol. There's very minor difference that you have to be nitpicky about to choose like Opticla vs Mechnical switches? Then the chipset (Nordic) and then just slight design changes. Ultimately, I think both would be good!

There's 2 good 1:1 clones of the DEX - the ATK Y9 Ultimate and the Mchose A7 Ultra RE. I personally have the ATK Y9 and can very easily recommend it. Side buttons are great too. Clean easy software (webapp). Comes with 8k polling. And it's just about 70 usd and weights 59 grams. Love the shape. You could also look into swapping out the skates on DAV4 Pro with dots (Speed: Xraypad Jades or the Ultraglide Speed) (Control: Xraypad Obsidian or the Ultraglide Controls).

Anytime. I don't use scroll wheel click at all so I didn't comment on that, but from the video it's clear it's a solid click. I also want to emphasize, the side buttons on my Y9 are fantastic!

Very subjective as everyone's defintion of the best gaming mouse is different. Before you ask, you should provide us with the info of your current gaming mice, your budget, preferred shape and mouse grip. I personally am a big fan of ergos mice, use palm grip and have rather large hand so mice like EC1-EC2, Deathadder, G Pro X Superlight are my top choices but people with fingertip and claw might have a different opinion than mine. Nowadays, it doesn't have to be big brand like you mentioned. as Chinese mice are catching up with similar specs and you can't beat its value. For example, say you really like the Logitech DEX but if budget is a concern, get yourself ATK Y9 Pro Max/ Ultimate as it is one-to-one clone with like half the price. Oh and my first off brand mice was Teevolution Terra which is a modern G703 and as a palm grip enjoyer, it is part of my top 3 ergo choices.

A9 is closer to GPX in terms of shape, VGN mice always take some creative freedom and change the shapes a bit. Check comparison on Eloshapes. Specs are a bit better on the dragonfly Pro Max, because it has 8k, but in terms of switches I generally prefer the pink shell pink dot on the a9 rather than the green shell white dot on the dragonfly.

Sure. Dragonfly 3 uses green shell white dot switches, rated for 100M clicks. A9 plus uses pink shell pink dots, they're a bit less harsh in terms of tactility compared to the green shells (at least in my experience), but they still have good tactility. The "downside" is that they're rated for "only" 90M clicks. My general preference goes to the pink shells. I like their sound and feel a bit more. Also, if you want a comfortable mouse for productivity - I'd recommend the DEX shape a bit more, since it's ergonomic. I can personally recommend the ATK Y9 Pro Max, and if your hand is on the smaller side- the Royal Kludge MG5 is a Dex mini.

I have tried around 40 mice in last year. I have 480 hz OLED with 9800x3D and RTX 5090. I got late into mouse hobby but I've tried most of the current premium lineup and some budget options. Lamzu is not as responsive as Logitech or Razer disregard of whatever you may think. Lamzu 3950 feels the same as ATK 3950, as Mchose 3950 as any other brand WHICH USES THE SAME OEM SOFTWARE ONCE THEY PUT A BATCH ORDER. Any company WHICH DOES THEIR OWN SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTATION like Logitech or Razer FEELS DIFFERENT. Disregard of sensor position or DPI deviation, in fact latest software on both GPX2 and V3Pro allow you to make 1 to 1 DPI. Mouse responsiveness is different and I would say that Razer, Logitech and Zowie are THE best in terms of software implentation for 3950 sensor. Razer has 0 delay Motion Sync which feels more responsive than Lamzu without motion sync (while Lamzu with Motion Sync is pure trash) Zowie also has bad motion sync but other than that feels good. Logitech is probably the oldest and the most weird but once you get used to it it is quite good as well. You may trust numbers or be delusional because "hardware is the same" but in hand feeling is different.
