\*conclusion updated on 29/3/25 as Attack Share updated on the marketing discrepancies, more below: This is the journey of one man's life search for the perfect budget fingertip mouse. From the Logitech G305 > Razer Orochi > Mchose G3 Ultra > VXE R1 Pro. Nothing ever felt just right. Alas, pops up all glowing reviews of the IPI Float 88, the cheaper cousin of this R5... or so they say. Little did we know we were all abit fooled. But it's not all bad..does it have what it takes to win you over? # The Beautiful: [Hey beautiful.. ;\)](https://preview.redd.it/xj5in3glq8re1.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=4a469256da2a11d857bbbdcf722bed224f705b98) https://preview.redd.it/3xdwzbhbr8re1.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=ee57dd4e393c7019023662c440cc6051c677c7d1 # Build Quality **5/5!** Just sublime material quality. It is some solid-as-hell material. Think of knocking on a golf ball—that's how solid it feels. It's a unibody shell, so no seams on the back, only at the base to body. Zero flexing anywhere—even the base, unlike my R1 which had a slightly warped base. # Hand Feel \*Update, the holes cause pain due to the triangular angles at the pinky side of the mouse, grip tape in the box fixes this easily, other surfaces feel great **5/5!** Imagine holding a ping pong-weight rubbery golf ball in the shape of a WLMouse—that's exactly how holding this mouse feels. When I got my R1 Pro, I was sad; my grip just couldn't find a comfortable position and never really has. I'm a 100% fingertip AKM player in *The Finals* and mainly play tracking-style aim. This, however, is perfect! The low mid-hump stays out of the way mostly during vertical aim movements, and the natural grip position allows me to squeeze both buttons to ADS while micro-adjusting aim due to the adequate space in the back. Of course, the Orochi gives more space but also weighs a ton, and the R1's butt keeps bumping into my palm. ~~Surprisingly, the holes feel kind of nice; they give smooth angled grooves for the fingers to lock on without pain~~. The weight is noticeably lighter than the R1 Pro—it just feels more like you're connected with the gun. Bonus: the mesh keeps your hand ventilated so sweat dries off faster. The coating becomes grippier as your hands get moist (same as the R1), but the R1 is a bit grippier as it's a solid shell—your fingerprints kind of micro-suck onto it like a lizard. Remember fingertip players: go for mid-hump mice always vs rear-hump after my lesson! [Hump comparison \(front aligned\) ](https://preview.redd.it/6wrqk5vrq8re1.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=36695100228704318455bde7aa9f7f8440de19b5) [Length comparison \(top aligned\)](https://preview.redd.it/6deliuuuq8re1.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=17a117ce360d9b0f575417c74b5abb4e9f360fe8) [Mousefight!](https://preview.redd.it/3l5oyf1wq8re1.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=0b7d6224149b00ad24af008627cc8da6b8429ad2) https://preview.redd.it/ngwrkkkvr8re1.png?width=709&format=png&auto=webp&s=9e4d4de9d570de44adf19b7b0f532ff85239e80c # The Nice: # Clicks **4/5.** Shallow, light, and clicky—exactly how Omrons we all know would feel. Perfect for ADS by pressing both buttons while not putting too much weight on the skates to make it jumpy during micro-adjusting. But there's a big BUT... more under *The Ugly* section. Middle mouse is a bit mushy and sunken thats my least favorite button, but other buttons are crisp. the side buttons stick out nicely compare to the R1 which I had to put tape over to protrude more. Razer still has the best protrusion of the 3. Button height and feel are even on R1 and L1; in contrast, my R1 had massive differences in feel due to a sticky pad which I had to remove. Also, the clicks are much lighter than the Iceberry Huano switches on the R1—a must for me. # Skates \*update 29.3.25 - skates slow down really fast and the whites dont make much of a difference, just change to jades and call it a day. Set the LOD to 2mm as the Jades are abit higher and 1mm causes sensor skipping easily **3/5.** Everyone complains about black skates—they actually feel kind of nice and waxy on my Aqua Control Neon (same as Hein texture weave pad). They glide nicely during ADS unless you really push the mouse down—then it jerks. Keep pressure light and you should be good. Compared to the jade dots on my R1 and Orochi, surprisingly they feel very similar. If they slow down, I'll just throw some jades on later. They also come with some 3M white PTFE skates to swap out https://preview.redd.it/0iwf2kkz19re1.png?width=709&format=png&auto=webp&s=6b2855ef15408abb95884554167ff4f91cf47251 https://preview.redd.it/9krwbz8yr8re1.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=935b3caa912253da06c3a14c81a785ab16f0dac0 # # Software **2/5.** Incredibly basic considering this has a "3950." I'm actually not sure it does unless someone tears it down. Can't change any wireless performance modes or sensor performance—all web-based with no downloadable option unlike other Attack Shark mice. Definitely no per-app profile (which RAWM has). LOD selection of 0.7mm is nice though. https://preview.redd.it/ym0g6p4yq8re1.png?width=1900&format=png&auto=webp&s=b864034c15caabcabb380adb54cb211c8f6bea60 # Wireless Performance \*updated to 4/5 on 29.3.25 - after trying at 4k polling instead, all of the sensor skipping, wireless cursor skips and inconsistencies were GONE, I think this mouse is designed to be run at 4k polling rather than 2k or 1k, it is a MUCH better experience **3/5.** I am disappointed. As a couch player with the dongle 6 ft away—and even testing it right next to the dongle at 2kHz—the polling rate fluctuates a lot. Razer has the best wireless performance followed by the R1. This translates to minor occasional millimeter cursor skips in-game during pans but not enough to throw my aim. After much experimenting, I found that the 40Hz 2.4GHz band on my router (4 ft away) really interferes with the mouse. Turning it to 20Hz-only mode on my router gave more consistent polls but still not as good as Razer or the R1. I think if software had a high-performance mode or long-range mode like the R1, it would help a lot. https://preview.redd.it/6vltp6ivh8re1.png?width=786&format=png&auto=webp&s=8f51e149fc38b5d49c23b389f857204412ae275d https://preview.redd.it/e4i57151j8re1.png?width=790&format=png&auto=webp&s=43b8632abcd352d4693f58b8ce44a79e10f82da7 https://preview.redd.it/b9fv2frmj8re1.png?width=786&format=png&auto=webp&s=e64bc5dbc42bf5a995096f95e901ae957a3ae288 # The Bull**it: # *updated to 4/5 # Company Integrity **0/5.** The mouse is advertised as coming with Omron opticals—this was one of my main reasons for buying it! I've changed all my mice to Omrons and they all develop double-clicking issues, so I was really looking for an optical switch mouse. The bonus of holes in your mouse is you can check without opening—and what do I see? D2FC-F-7N(100M) Omron MECHANICALS! Attack Shark as a company straight-up lied about this! Now I'm not even sure it has a 3950 inside—this is straight-up false advertising and left a sour taste in my mouth even though I like the mouse overall. Good thing is that at least it comes with 100M-click Omrons—which is a must for me (as any other brand's switch just feels too heavy when ADSing with two buttons pressed). Omrons have a 10g lighter click than other switches generally—and this means 10g less force on your feet when gliding, leading to less risk of jerky aiming. So even though I'm disappointed at their lies, I'm happy it's Omrons in the end. https://preview.redd.it/s84e6yn3tjre1.png?width=1499&format=png&auto=webp&s=741df639b02cdcc7a007b3c8d3a0ed3500b238c1 \*update 29.2.25: Attack shark discord updated why they changed switches, and apologized for the marketing error and offering warranty claims, this pick up points for integrity in my book https://preview.redd.it/9kb95bgrs8re1.png?width=997&format=png&auto=webp&s=0bddf371bd571c0d5bc8420703eaf1511118ec7f https://preview.redd.it/hci98r2ws8re1.png?width=1146&format=png&auto=webp&s=8537750939357767449af7696f146bba992db87a https://preview.redd.it/brwulooys8re1.png?width=1560&format=png&auto=webp&s=52a96f815697ad8edddfb49153164eef706ef115 https://preview.redd.it/880g9dqi29re1.png?width=403&format=png&auto=webp&s=bd3a3e331cced45c318c2215fe7ad8e9c9d2d956 [Website mentions Omron Opticals](https://preview.redd.it/cj6tlixq29re1.png?width=1585&format=png&auto=webp&s=7621bbb50a3394b221ecf784ea324304910339a7) [Manual shows omron 100m and 42g..bait and switchh](https://preview.redd.it/7d2jbsy439re1.png?width=709&format=png&auto=webp&s=94f64556d49cde1bb6ba1c8f24a357a7cc0147c6) # Final Thoughts** Will I keep it? Let's see—I have a 30-day return policy. If I can get over how butthurt I am about the wrong switches and they release an option to boost wireless performance, I might just have found my endgame shape!
r/MouseReview • Attack Shark R5 Ultra - The beautiful, the bad and the downright bull**it ->an update, I found this mouse has to be run at 4k and all of the cursor skipping issues are gone, I think its designed to work best at 4k not 2k
r/MouseReview • Attack Shark R5 Ultra - The beautiful, the bad and the downright bull**it ->id say a solid upgrade in all aspects
r/MouseReview • Attack Shark R5 Ultra - The beautiful, the bad and the downright bull**it ->EDITOR'S NOTES It finally came out, huh? lol A while ago, the list 1.0 of the best mice on AliExpress was posted here on Sub, which was focused on Low Budget and more cost-benefit than performance. In this list we focused on prioritizing mice that are also cost-effective but with High End quality (that's why you'll miss some models like the Attack Shark X6, X11, AJAZZ models and others). Remembering that this tier list is based on personal experiences, leave your comment respectfully if you disagree and leave your Up if you like the work! Without further ado, let's go :D WRITTEN TIER LIST - S+: Scyrox V8, Scyrox V6, Zaopin ZPW Max, ATK F1 Extreme, ATK X1 Ultimate - S: Attack Shark R3, VXE MAD R, Attack Shark R5, Delux M900 Ultralight 8K Set, ATK Z1, MCHOSE A7 Ultra, ATK A9 Ultra - A: VGN F1 Pro, VXE R1 Pro Max, Zaopin Z2 Mini Max, Zaopin Z1 - B: Fantech Aria II, IYX Amber, Incott G23 Pro, Helios II Pro - C: Rapoo VT3 Pro Max, Rapoo VT1 Pro, MCHOSE A5, Delux M800 4k ABOUT THE TOP OF THE LIST - Scyrox V8 and V6: These two mice manage to deliver ultra-light weight, excellent construction, marked scroll, great finish, the best sensor on the market and still have an affordable price. (Same shape: Pulsar X2H) - Zaopin ZPW Max: A new launch on the market with an ergonomic shape that fits practically any hand size and grip. Although ergonomic shapes tend to have some flaws in the construction of the main buttons, this mouse managed to achieve the perfect construction. All that said, it has 8K and an excellent sensor at an affordable price, great value for money. (Same shape: Lamzu Thorn) - ATK F1 Extreme: This mouse has been on the market for a while now, but it is extremely consolidated with more of the same, better sensor, 8K and it still has the Ice Feeling coating, characteristic of ATK that helps with sweaty hands. This mouse also weighs 35 grams, making it extremely light. It's worth every penny for the quality of the material and finish, a top-notch mouse. (Same Shape: Razer Viper Mini) - ATK X1 Ultimate: The success of this mouse speaks for itself, it is everything that the ATK F1 is, but ends up being a little heavier and with a different shape for bigger hands. The Ice Feeling is also on this mouse and today it comes in metallic red and metallic purple, which may please some. (Same shape: Razer Viper V3) - IPI FLOAT: In this mouse segment, it is extremely cost-effective. When I say this, I am considering that it is practically a Finalmouse Low Budget, offering great performance but being 4 times cheaper than a Finalmouse. Some negative points would be its Feets and battery if you turn it on, but in terms of performance and overall construction, this mouse is incredible. (Same shape: VAXEE XE-S) A TIER A LITTLE LOWER - Attack Shark R3: This is a magnesium mouse that I can say the same about the IPI FLOAT: in the magnesium segment this mouse is almost 3 times cheaper than the main ones and delivers a great set. The mouse, despite being an Attack Shark, is very well built and finished, offers a great sensor and lightness, making your user experience great. (Same shape: G-wolves HTX) - VXE MAD R: This mouse is excellent, period. One of the ultra-lightweight mice, great coating, good price... so why isn't it S+? Scyrox is simply better in every aspect for a lower price, so it comes in at the S tier very well placed. (Same shape: Zowie S2-DW) - Attack Shark R5: To be quite honest, this mouse is almost a copy of the IPI FLOAT but has better feet and a better sensor, but it doesn't justify its price being almost 50% more than the IPI FLOAT, so it's in this position. (Same shape: VAXEE XE-S) - Delux M900 Ultralight 8k Set: This mouse has an extremely cost-effective set. Great coating, comes with Nano Reciver 8K, a new technology on the market, ergonomic shape that also has a good construction (not as much as the Zaopin ZPW Max) that pleases most hands and a great option for Claw grip, your hand simply rests on the mouse. (Same shape: Zowie EC1) - ATK Z1 Pro Max: This is a mouse that I didn't put in the S+ tier so as not to be too much of a club fan, hahaha. The truth is that the shape of this mouse is extremely comfortable for all hands, a shape that is used by several pro players in a mouse that is twice as expensive, it has excellent quality (after all, it is from ATK) and has a very good sensor and batteries. (Same shape: Pulsar Xlite) - MCHOSE A7 Ultra: the famous GPX shape in a really good construction (different from the GPX's own scroll wheel :p). The mouse is very complete and offers everything a high end mouse needs with excellent quality and shape for a price much lower than the price of a GPX, for example. (Same shape: guess what? Logitech G Pro Superlight 2) - ATK A9 Ultra: Pretty much the same description as the mouse above, it has the same shape as the GPX and is of excellent quality. It is a little more expensive than the MCHOSE, but it is ATK quality, in case you are unsure about exploring new horizons with the MCHOSE. (Same shape: Logitech G Pro Superlight 2) SOME FINAL CONSIDERATIONS Ultimately, all Tier S+ mice and even some mentions of Tier S have excellent quality and power, the difference will be small in relation to price (except for those in a specific segment such as Magnesium and Carbon Fiber), so the ideal is for you to choose the shape that best suits your hand and buy the one you like the most! I'm glad you guys are supporting me in the first tier, if you have any opinions, the comments are always open with a lot of respect! :D Tier list 3.0??
r/MouseReview • Best AliExpress Mouses 2025 2.0 ->I ended up forgetting about it, it would certainly be above the VXE MAD R, but the price of the MCHOSE L7 is still almost 50% more than the price of the MAD R... Is it worth it? Definitely, but they would be very even, but I'm on team L7!!
r/MouseReview • Best AliExpress Mouses 2025 2.0 ->I own a bunch of new mice and the quietest are the Mchose L7 w/ opticals (small version - larger one is louder), the Attack Shark R5 Ultra, and Attack Shark R6. There’s a lot of caveats here, though. You can get bad luck of the draw on the Omron opticals and have them be a lot stiffer and louder. If you get good luck of the draw then the small L7 is about as quiet as it gets. I own one that’s practically silent and another that’s a good bit louder. Then if you click on the back 1/3rd of the button, most Omron opticals are also stiffer and louder. Virtually nobody will actually click there on the small L7, though. Next you have the issue that Attack Shark firmwares are mediocre. Otherwise the Omron 100m mechanical switches in R5 Ultra that are typically somewhat loud are mysteriously very quiet in that mouse. I attribute it to open air shell so no reverb and very stiff shell so no reverb from that either. Heard the WlMouse Beast are light and quiet but don’t own one as well. I doubt they’re as quiet as a good bin of an L7. \-r0ach
r/MouseReview • Need a silent(ish) gaming mouse ->Got mine in today. Same mechanical omrons. Does seem to have pads for the optical ones tho. Ill have to compare it to my r2 board with opticals to make sure pads are actually functional. Sensor is as advertised tho. Might be able to drop some weight out of it but ill find out tonight after i test to make sure its functioning fine.
r/MouseReview • Attack Shark R5 Ultra - The beautiful, the bad and the downright bull**it ->I was confused as to why the ipi float and r5 were in different categories. I got my r5 for almost the same price as the float in my country. Didn't realise the price difference is normally fairly big. Haven't used it much but for what I paid (equivalent to 49usd) it's pretty impressive.
r/MouseReview • Best AliExpress Mouses 2025 2.0 ->19.5x10.5. Transitioned from fingertip ergo to trying smaller mice. Current mains: attack shark r5 ultra and keychron m4 with some mods. Ideal ftip is a beast x mini or Miao but at 250 aud that's too much.
r/MouseReview • Shape is KING! Share your hand size, main mouse, and how the shape benefits your aim! ->I've been bothering customer support to add a web driver update since the day I got mine. I'm considering just buying a new mouse since the hidden DPI/Polling rate keybinds have been a big problem for me when I game. It's such a shame because I actually like the weight and size of the mouse. This is going to be the last Attack Shark product I'll be purchasing.
r/MouseReview • Attack Shark R5 Ultra - The beautiful, the bad and the downright bull**it ->I don't see Attack Shark R2 in the list, which is definitely not worse than R3 and costs the same? And if IPI Float is in the top tier, then why is Attack Shark R5 in a lower tier, given that R5 has an even better sensor? The list is not fully disclosed!
r/MouseReview • Best AliExpress Mouses 2025 2.0 ->You try the ipi float or attack shark r5 as a cheaper option to try the shape thats what I did
r/MouseReview • Mouse collection ->what about the attack shark r5 ultra? i think its better than my viper v3 pro
r/MouseReview • Best Mouse AliExpress 2025 ->Not sure...I know the Float 88 does and so does the Attack Shark R5.
r/MouseReview • My Impression of the IPI Float. I can't wrap my head around how good this $60 mouse is! ->No warping. I also bought the attack shark version of the mouse and it is also flawless.
r/MouseReview • My Impression of the IPI Float. I can't wrap my head around how good this $60 mouse is! ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
