After going through several of the popular ones, the one I settled on was the Cooler Master MM720. Super comfortable and very light.

Yes I know the MM720 is the predecessor of it in design. Very comfortable, the wire is so light I don't even mind it at all.

Hey all, Longtime lurker here—been quietly reading posts on this sub for years, but I randomly felt compelled to write this after a bit of a personal breakthrough in-game. Maybe it'll help someone else who's been stuck in the same cycle I was. I’ve been playing Counter-Strike since 2001 (yes, I’m old), and over the years I’ve used more mice than I can count—definitely a bit of a mouse whore. My hands are fairly large (19.5 x 11 cm), but for some reason, I’ve always gravitated toward smaller mice. Let’s rewind for a second… My earliest memories were with that classic white Logitech Optical Mouse—didn’t take gaming too seriously back then, but I remember it being on the smaller side, and I guess that stuck. When I started getting more serious, I switched to the Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 and that was honestly my golden era. My aim felt crisp, clutch plays were regular, and I never thought much about the mouse—it just worked. After that, I fell back into the small mouse rabbit hole: SteelSeries Kinzu, Razer Diamondback, etc. I still held my own, but I noticed something: I sucked with the AWP. I just accepted it—"Guess I’m not an AWPer." Eventually landed on the EC2-A for a long stretch. Never quite regained that 1.6-era magic, but I chalked it up to aging, life, priorities shifting… all that stuff. I kept going with small mice anyway—FK2, MM710, MM720 (honestly loved that one for pure comfort), and most recently the MM712. From 2017 to now, I’ve been on and off with CS. I’ll grind for a few months, then disappear for a while. Recently jumped back in and found my MM712’s sensor acting up. I had a few backups lying around, including an old Glorious Model D wired—a mouse I never gave much time because it was big, and hey, I’m a “small mouse guy,” right? Wrong. I booted it up, played a few DMs, and… damn. My aim felt locked in. Tapping was on point. I had way more control than I ever did with smaller mice. That “floating” feeling from smaller shapes? Gone. Micro-adjustments that used to mess up my spray? Gone. This thing just plants itself in my hand like a brick, and suddenly I’m palm gripping again like it’s 2005. Even the AWP, which I’ve always struggled with, started clicking—literally. Shots are connecting more than ever. For years I told myself, “I’m just not an AWPer,” but maybe I just never had the right tool in my hand. It made me realize: I’ve been prioritizing what feels comfortable over what actually performs best for me. The EC2 probably should’ve been an EC1. Who knows, maybe I’d be lifting a trophy at Katowice by now /s. I’ve had my eye on the Vaxee E1, but it’s more in line with the EC2 size—and now I’m thinking I’ve been going too small for too long. Might be time to go full circle and pick up the EC1-DW instead. I’m finally starting to understand that bigger might just be better… at least for my hands and how I play. Has anyone else experienced this? TL;DR: Big-hand guy who loved small mice realized he was nerfing his own aim for years. Turns out comfort doesn’t always equal performance. RIP to all that lost ELO.

To directly answer your question: The Cooler Master MM720 might fit your bill. It's a little bit fragile, but it's wide as all hell and decently cheap as well. More generally, I used the G502 exclusively for, what, a decade? and had the same issue with cramping/numbness in my pinky and ring fingers. I thought it was the mouse width, but eventually I switched off the G502 in search of a lighter mouse for use in twitch shooters. I love the 502's shape and it has the best scroll wheel out there, but I think its mass might have necessitated me gripping it more tightly than I would other mice, which could have contributed to that issue. That *may* be the case for you. What I eventually settled on was the Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed -- even though it's a narrower mouse, it's much lighter and I haven't really had that issue since. (But I have long maintained that if Logitech come out with a properly superlight wireless mouse with the 502 shape, I'm switching back in a heartbeat!) That's just my $6.40 on it, though, so your mileage may vary.

The MM720 shape is the most comfortable I have ever used but is impossible to find. They have stopped being made and here is only one Korean brand that makes a clone of it. Used to think I was a claw grip player until I used a mouse that had a place for the rest of my fingers.

I know this is already an old thread but I have to give my two cents after multiple decades of being super finicky about which mouse I'm using (due to extremely tiny hands and rheumatic tendencies). The best thing ever is Cooler Master's MM720 (shape formerly known as xornet and spawn). If you haven't yet, definitely check it out.

Keychron M4 (4k polling rate version). I fingertip grip so most small to medium size mice feel pretty nice. I've used a few mice over the years and every Steelseries or Razor mouse I've had has died in 0.5-1.5 years. Scroll wheel on Razor mice goes instantly in my experience. Mice I've used on top of my head: CM Xornet: Extremely cheap at the time but also cheap feeling, awful sensor, amazing form that is still hard to find 10 years later. CM720: Successor to the Xornet and CM Spawn. Decent mouse overall with a terrible scroll wheel. Razer Deathadder: I've had 1, my brother has bought 3. Scroll wheel always dies first and they've never lasted 2 years. I find them to be bulky and terrible mice for fingertip gripping but a lot of people love it with claw grip. Steelseries Xai: Had two and decided I'm never buying a Steelseries mouse again. Left mouse button started dying on the first mouse within 3 months. The ambidextrous brick shape felt awkward and I ended up tilting the mouse 90 degrees G203: Amazing mouse for the price. For games like PoE there's really no need to go beyond the 25-35$ price point when mice like these exist.

So, I've been using the CM MM720 for about 2 years, the cable got f\*\*\*ed and it disconnects after 5 minutes of usage, replaced the cable and it worked for about a week then got f\*\*\*ed again. Point is, I reaaaaaallly like this mouse shape, it feels so natural to hold and aim with and after using it basically every other mouse feels wrong in my hand, i have the G305 and the Orochi V2 and they both give me hand cramps I know the Xenics Titan Air GE exists but it's 59 grams, hard to get where I live, and a bit old specs-wise also, there's the NAGA series from Razer but it's pricy AF and heavy too why won't companies make proper mice with finger and pinky rest? they feel the most natural to hold IMO and they do have a big audience (i guess)

The reason you are gripping it that way is because it's too thin at the middle. That's why your grip is closer to the buttons on the DA. Try the Cooler Master MM720. You can still find it around.

It must be like that or otherwise it'd be hardly possible to lift off the mouse. Just compare lifting your qpad to mm720. The difference is huge, in favor to Cooler Master's.

Order of importance for peripheral quality is as follows: Mouse< Mousepad< Headphones< Monitor< Table< Keyboard< Chair< So the answer to your question is yes, it's not just important to have a good mouse, it's the most important thing your of setup if you're trying to improve at CS. If you want a good cheap recommendation, you should try the Coolermaster MM720, which is ugly as fuck but really nice comfort-wise, or the Logitech G305 for a really good wireless option. The G305's shape is like a more comfortable office mouse, so if this is your first time trying to get into gaming mice I absolutely love the G305. For more the best options, there's really only 2 logical picks for mice and that's the Logitech Superlight and Zowie EC2 Wireless. They're both genuinely worth it and at the highest level are the most used mice for their great build quality and comfortable shapes. Hope this helps you make your mind up :)

If it takes $200 for me to finally stop buying multiple mouses in search of my ideal shape, then I wouldn't mind. I've purchased multiple mouses throughout the years and I haven't really found one I truly liked (MM720 was my favorite but no wireless option). Also, is this not a well thought out mouse?

I have small hands, mm720 was my main, now the fenrir asym. When I first used it, I was surprised by how small it was in hand, but I got used to it. Medium-sized hands may find it too small.

cooler master mm720 is my favourite mouse of all times, I have wide palm and all mice always caused hand preassure and pain, ordered another 4 when i found this gem, weights just 49 grams as well, lighest ive ever used. Ring finger never had its own space and always been dragged, that's what these mouse manufacturers don't get imo.

MM720 is my endgame mouse, there's no shape that is better for my grip and I've tried probably around 50 mice. Not sure about keyboard. Currently I'm using the DrunkDeer 75 HE but I don't particularly like the switches. An HE keyboard with tactile blue switches would probably be endgame but I don't think it exists.

Just throwing this out there as someone who used the MM720 since it released and then when it died, the Xenics Titan Air GE for another 2 years. I recently said screw it and bought the Pulsar X3 (Size 1) and then the Hitscan Hyperlight just to re-test my preferences (and tolerances) of smaller mice. For reference, I use a relaxed claw grip and occasionally revert to palm when I get tired, but also tighten up to full claw when things get heated. So I need the shape to work well for that whole range. My hand size is 19.5 cm x 10.5 cm. I hold it 1-2-2 (IE - ring and pinky stay on the right, on the ledge and right side, respectively). After using the Hitscan HL for a month (I returned the Pulsar X3 after trying it), I've made an interesting observation: If you use the Xenic's right "ledge" as your ring finger support, the width between the thumb and ring finger when holding both mice is not that different. It's within a millimeter. So really, the only difference (for me at least) between the two mice is where the pinky is positioned. If both mice don't have grip tape equipped, the Xenics obviously feels more comfortable because it has a dedicated ledge for the ring finger and pinky separation. But with grip tape, the HL is actually becomes much more tolerable, especially if I keep reminding myself to keep to more relaxed grips, rather than squeezing/pushing down when things get spicy. Basically, if you let the grip tape do the work of holding up/prevent fingers from sliding, then it feels nearly as comfortable and stable as the Xenics. The -10g of weight also makes it easier to not want to grip it too tightly. The tape for the ring finger is as close to the right-click button as possible and it now makes for a very stable ledge: [https://imgur.com/a/kf2k7ex](https://imgur.com/a/kf2k7ex) For me, I guess it wasn't so much that the Xenics was that more comfortable/ergonomic, but it was that I couldn't figure out how to get other shapes to be as stable in the past. As a bonus, going to a smaller mouse with a lower button height and less weight has been amazeballs for my aim. I didn't realize how much the size of the Xenics/MM720 was hampering my ability to do microadjustments.

CoolerMaster MM720. My hands are wide and short. MM720 feels like it grows straight out of my hand. Imagine how disappointed I was when I found that CM quit peripherals market. I bought a 3D printed shell for Rapoo VT9. It might be my final endgame.

My husband has the Glorious O and it is definitely too large for my tiny hands. I have the Cooler Master MM720 (also with honeycomb design) and love it. The 720 has a wider shape, but the 710 has more of a classic shape. We both swapped to honeycomb mice after getting some hand/wrist pain, and the lighter weight is super nice!

My favorite mouse in terms of shape (to date) is the Cooler Master mm720. I'm somewhere between a palm and a claw grip so I find the wider shape to be uber-comfy. I don't think I can ever go back to a mouse without a ring-finger rest.
