Yeah I'm surprised at how infrequently I see them here. I recently got the M3 XS Pro, it's also a great mouse.
The thing that ruined the mouse for me are the awful clicks. Beast x and finalmouse are leagues better in my opinion. But the shape is nice.
1. Just started using the EWEADN z7. 1. I've swapped around a lot since my viper mini broke a long while ago. The 3 I had been using recently before swapping to the z7 were the viper mini signature edition, superlight 2c, and the darmoshark m3xs pro. My signature edition had some qc issues with the side buttons and something about the magnesium shell felt off to me. The 2c was very solid and I liked the size, but the shape wasn't perfect for my grip. Also I wasn't a fan of not being able to mess with debounce and it felt like there was maybe like 4ms debounce despite having optical switches, I'm not sure though. The m3xs pro was honestly way better than I expected. The shape is great for me, similar to the finalmouse small but just a bit more palm contact which made it way more usable for me. The only problem was the side buttons are way too far back for where I grip the mouse and I prefer having optical switches if possible. 1. The z7 is probably the closest I've felt to the original viper mini shape for my grip. I've tried a lot of "clones" and shapes similar to the viper mini but they always felt off. The curves on this mouse feel very comfortable and familiar. I can feel that it is slightly wider but it still feels closer than other clones to me. The only issue so far is the coating is pretty unique and I'm not sure I like it. It hasn't bothered me in game yet but I could see it being too slippery for some people.
the darmoshark m3 xs pro is criminally slept on. grabbed one after seeing it benchmarked against stuff triple the price and it legitimately punches above its weight class. the 45g feels like holding nothing and the side curvature just locks your hand in place without feeling restrictive. hard to justify spending double on other claw mice when this thing exists for sixty bucks. been cycling through shapes for years and the one thing i learned is that people undersell how much value matters in this hobby. you can chase the perfect shape forever but a mouse that costs less, weighs similar, and performs the same takes away the excuse to keep looking. imo that's the real endgame for most people, not the mouse itself.
the shape doing that is wild, it's like the side curves make your hand relax enough that weight perception drops. Darmoshark's QC has been solid too which honestly matters more than people think at that price point.
I'm curious to know you guys' top picks for endgame mice and your mindset/ideology regarding said picks. Hoping this post can also draw the attention of people who are seeking a new mouse or just hopping into the world of gaming mice. Obviously shape is king for most people and everyone's hands are different but as someone who likes to explore and tinker, I have discovered a few mice that I thought wouldn't be for me turned out great and some more popular mice turned out to not be a great fit. I am a person that can aim with all grip styles so I love to dibble and dabble. # My Top 3 # 1. Darmoshark M3 XS Pro **Quick Take:** Best value claw mouse Darmoshark as a company wows me with their mice. Absolutely love, and just recently discovered this shape (WLMouse Beast X/Finalmouse Small clone). The moderate hump, significant inward side curvature and slight front flare combined with 45g weight are extremely comfy for me, not to mention the EXCELLENT value for the price (for $60 you get 8k polling, 3950, great coating + wheel + clicks + skates etc). This mouse feels lighter than 45g in hand. Claw and relaxed claw are insane with this mouse. I sometimes hold it in my hand just because lol. A sleeper for sure. # 2. Pulsar X2 Crazylight Mini **Quick Take:** Most comfortable overall This was my intro to Pulsar and I was NOT disappointed. I had initially only purchased this mouse for the 35g weight but then quickly fell in love with the shape, click feel and just the sheer ergonomics I feel when using this bad boy. If gaming was a marathon and the X2CL were my running shoes, I would not take any breaks. I can game with this thing for what feels like forever with no discomfort. Low front, wide midsection and rear hump bias make claw and claw-fingertip hybrid feel cracked. Pulsar's variant of the 3950 (XS-1 Sensor) has an excellent implementation as well, on top of the clicks feeling god-like. # 3. Zaopin Z1 Pro Max **Quick Take:** Favorite egg shape Egg shaped mice were initially my endgame shape and you couldn't convince my hand (or aim) otherwise lol. I had the non pro 1k variant before this with exposed bottom, 200 mAh battery and 46g weight which was my bread and butter before it sadly broke during a move. That iteration felt perfect (if anyone has one here for sale pm me LOL). Bulbous egg shape with ergo thumb pocket and rear biased hump is the gold standard for me and also supports my ring finger surprisingly well. The 3950 in the Pro Max + Huano Blue Shell Pink Dots and lovely scroll wheel do it for me. # Mice That Didn't Work For Me # OP1w 4K V2 I am very disappointed with this one because I perform very well with this legendary shape, but the pro of this mouse having a super narrow waist is sadly also the con for my hand in particular. Its TOO narrow and my thumb tends to ache shortly after starting to use it. I also wish it was slightly lighter like sub 50g range. I am going to spend more time with this one to see if my opinion changes before I sell. # Pulsar X3 Crazylight Mini My attempt at jumping into ergo mice and this one just feels way too bulky. Feels way heavier in hand than its actual weight, and I do NOT like the asymmetrical centered hump. This one makes me feel like I am sacrificing too much maneuverability for that extra comfort.
That’s what im saying! The M3 XS Pro isn’t leaving my desk for awhile. Call me crazy but it feels lighter than 45g, maybe due to the awesome shape. Darmoshark hasn’t let me down yet.
What are your hand measurements. And as someone with large hands(21x11cm) switch to fingertip. Palm grip sucks, though you will need to buy a new mouse. You can’t fingertip a g502, I would recommend, as a budget starting option, darmoshark m3 and if you are comfortable. The m3 micro(it’s a really small mouse) but to your hands it’ll act like what a fingertip mouse is to a regular person. If you want to compare the shapes just use eloshapes
