**Hand Size:** 18x10 **Grip:** Pincer Claw Website Links: (NOT affiliate) https://shop.g-wolves.com/products/g-wolves-fenrir-pro-8k-wireless-mouse-18-4g-type-c-usb-including-duties-and-taxes [**PHOTO GALLERY**](https://imgur.com/a/ZEF6K3t) **Packaging:** The packaging for the G Wolves Fenrir Pro 8K is pretty loud and gamery if you’re into the sort of thing. One of those boxes you could put on a shelf in your setup and it would definitely stand out. ***What’s in the box?*** 1x Fenrir Pro 8K, 1x desk mounted dongle, 2x USB C cables, 3x clear bags (1x carrying bag for the mouse, 1x bag with a gaming sleeve, 1x holding the mouse itself upon unboxing (separate from storage bag), 1x molding clay, 1x sheet of grip tape, 2x PCB cover sheets (for better protection of the exposed PCB if you want), 1x sheet of 0.1mm adhesive pads, 1x sheet of 0.15mm adhesive pads, 2x square sheet of PTFE dot skates (60 dots total), 2x squares of adhesive foam for seating the battery (if needed), 1x hard briefcase-like carrying case lined with red fabric inside, 2x carrying straps for the hard case. (It’s a lot) [**|NVIDIA LDAT Click Latency Graphs|**](https://imgur.com/a/Fg04nCL): Here we have impressively low click latency graphs from the Fenrir Pro in its wireless mode, when adjusted using the DIY debounce settings. When using the default “A mode” debounce setting you still get a solid result in terms of latency nonetheless. **Sensor/Performance:** The sensor being used here is the Pixart PAW-3950. The mouse is capable of 8K out of the box with the included dongle. Performance based on my gameplay testing has been very solid, indistinguishable from many other top tier mice out there today. G Wolves stands tall alongside some of the heavy hitters of high performance tech today such as Razer. In terms of CPI deviation, tested at 400/800/1600 CPI, I found results were clean across the board. This is also my first time using USB C in a G Wolves product and I am just so happy for that, no more having to fiddle with a micro-USB connector. **Software:** G Wolves software has gone from looking highly functional, to a more modern and clean look. The mouse software is mainly web based however. You’re able to adjust key settings of buttons 1-5, DPI settings in the form of 7 levels/steps you can switch from, and parameter settings which include things like debounce time, polling rate, LOD, sleep time, and sensor angle to compensate for your unique grip style if you happen to hold the mouse at an off angle. There’s also a competitive mode toggle that from my understanding sets the sensor to run in corded mode. **Buttons:** The main buttons have low pre-travel and low post-travel. The main switches are very similar to what Logitech uses in their GPX's side buttons. G wolves was also able to achieve their low click latency with this mechanical switch as opposed to newer mice using opticals. I’ve gotta say, after using most of the high end ftip mice on the market, even some of G wolves OG HSK offerings, they’ve really locked in the click feel here. It feels extremely snappy and responsive to use the main triggers, which comes in handy when using such a light finger tip type shape. I think Zaunkoenig and their M1K lineup of mice really perfected click feel, but this Fenrir Pro just feels so in line and truly locked in with how the M1K felt for me when I first tried those clicks. I’ve found in many games when you’re busy fighting bad click tensioning with your fingers, it can really make holding a fingertip mouse this light a bit difficult, in turn causing less thought being put into your aim. They really nailed it here and that’s huge, as I recall my initial experience with the very first HSK being a bit cumbersome with those triggers. Side buttons have low pre-travel and post-travel, they feel very light and snappy to use. However… (more on this later in shape)

**Scroll Wheel:** The scroll steps here are smooth in their roll but feel a bit chunky in the actual stopping points between those steps. It’s definitely less of a butter smooth scrolling experience and more of a thuddy scrolling experience if that makes sense. Smooth feeling overall, but the heavy-handedness at which the steps pause can definitely be felt big time here. I’d call this scroll wheel extremely tactile, but I would say it's a very subjective thing, some may love it while some will dislike it. The scroll switch itself and the clicking experience are very easy to use and spam for in game pings overall. The texture of the scroll wheel silicone is a very soft smooth silicone with subtle dents for texture. **Shape/Coating:** I’ve tried every variation of the G Wolves HSK line, and even the Zaunkoenig M1K/M2K mice, along with a few of Finalmouse’s best ultralight offerings. That being said, I think this is truly it for fingertip mice, the combination of click feel and weight along with some of the QOL improvements made to the shell just make this mouse feel so much more comfortable to hold for me than the HSK Pro ever did. I have yet to try the Fenrir Asym myself (maybe one day) but I’m very curious how useful the pinky support can be for fingertip. I think if you’d ever tried the HSK and found some issues with it comfort-wise, this just might fix a lot of those comfort issues for you. I will say the height is pretty short here. If you have fatter fingers, you may find yourself accidentally activating the side buttons if you’re not mindful of your positioning. For example my thumb measures around 18.7mm wide without putting any pressure on it with my calipers. I think G Wolves have managed to create one of the newest top wireless mice on the market that isn’t a full size shell. The extended lip at the back is also mostly unnoticeable in terms of making contact with my hand. It kinda just disappears in use which is good. A small pack of molding clay in included to suit other grips but personally I just didn't see a use for it, I'm sure somebody will though for some extra support/grip. Just not me personally. On a very low budget, things like Darmoshark fingertip mice or the Keychron M4 exist. If you're looking for a truly boutique experience for fingertip that's VERY expensive, and wired, then you have options like the M1K/M2K and others, or the Titan 1. If you're looking for a more accessible (but not cheap) option, the Fenrir Pro is likely the way to go for most people wanting more for their money at top tier performance. **Grips:** G Wolves included grips are very good for what you get. They feel tacky and grippy to the fingers (I would hope so…), and to G wolves credit you get a lot of them with different cuts for specific positionings of your fingers which is pretty great as well. **Cable/Feet:** The included cables for this mouse both feel very premium and slightly stiff, though it is to be expected when getting into 8K wireless territory as you do want the most stable connection possible. One cable is a more paracord-like cable while the other lighter colored cable is more of what you would maybe expect from an Apple product quality cable. **Weight:** G Wolve’s has managed to create one of the lightest mice I’ve ever used while still being wireless at 22g according to my scale (kitchen scale is pretty old and outdated though, I would cross reference with other reviews), the closest second would be the Zaunkoenig M2K but wired obviously. It feels incredible to use something so light that is wireless all at the same time. Everything just feels so 1:1 with your aim here, it feels otherworldly to not be fighting a cable at this weight class, top notch stuff from G Wolves here. Although these weight cuts are not entirely “free” once you see the bottom of the mouse. **Build Quality:** I must admit, upon seeing the bottom of the mouse in photos and seeing what was essentially a free-hanging PCB, you would expect the build here to feel compromised. However, I am happy to report that G Wolve’s have done their homework here and proven weight cuts like this are possible while maintaining rigidity in the shell. The main trick here is that G Wolve’s uses the mouse PCB itself as a form of brace to keep the shell from flexing. It’s a simple yet clever trick that could even be done with something like a tooth pick cut to size, or a q-tip with the ends cut if you’ve ever found yourself modding and looking for unique ways to reduce shell weight, I know I have from time to time and this trick does wonders in fixing shell flex. The PCB is screwed to the sides of the shell as well.

I love the mouse but scrolling is a pain in the ass. Anything more than scrolling 5 steps will result in an accidental press of M3

No I don’t think so. I’ve got a few mice and don’t have that problem with any of the others.

Yup the main buttons are also the smaller kind of microswitches.

You mean at the back? There is like an arc of a few mm running at the back to give more stability and have room for the skates. Actually pretty genius and does not effect grip or usuability at all.

That picture is misleading. As you can see at the bottom there is the front skate. Pretty sure if you press the mouse botton full down it will stop at that part not to damage the button by bending it too far. Looks strange but nothing that hurts when you grab it. There is not much room to make that corner stable so you see that L shape skate mount and the curved sidewall to cover the side.(It does not stick to the side there is more like a gap under the front side panel)

You have to try fingertip mice yet, I recommend the Gwolves Fenrir Asym or the Pro. I currently use the Asym and as a fingertip grip user this mouse is Endgame, not even close. 50 Gram mice feels like a brick compared to the 21gr of the Asym and so much more control over micro movements. Only way I buy another one is an updated version with better internals, MCU, sensor and who knows, maybe magnetic switches in the future.

Edit: thought you meant fingertip only mice nevermind. Gwolves might have some of the worst customer service out there. But the HSK (and HSK2), Fenrir Pro, and Fenrir Asym are the perfect shape and size for small, medium, and large hands respectively. There are a few other fingertip-only mice Gwolves makes, however they're a lot more niche and obscure so you'll instantly buy them no questions asked or go "huh!?!?!?" The second you look at them. The software is meh, not as atrocious as Razer/Logi/Steelseries/Corsair/HyperX software, but also not as good as the new ASUS browser software (ASUS has had a glow-up from the worst of the worst software, to a brand new browser software that's actually better than Lamzu and Pulsar software). The build quality is really good though, so fortunately the terrible customer service is usually avoided. The owner/creator/founder is a mad-man. Good at making amazing and innovative mice, but at the expense of social decency unfortunately. If you want a Gwolves alternative, you have: WLmouse Miao. Pulsar X2F (wait until V3, V1 has sensor issues, V2 is ok but significantly heavier than it needs to be). Lamzu fingertip-mouse (unreleased, doesn't have a name, it's Lamzu so it'll be goated but damn it feels like we'll get GTA 6 before a new Lamzu release). Kysona Uranus Pro (it's a bit tall for my liking, and a fullsize, but damn it's an amazing fingertip mouse and it's insanely cheap like just buy one and take a hacksaw to it and you're good in all honesty, I'm even currently procrastinating on making custom 3D printed shells for it cause it's so cheap but so amazing despite being cheaper than the budget hello-kitty mouse from my local stationary store). If you want more info, here is a YT video and channel who is specifically a tiny fingertip mouse aficionado: [https://youtu.be/c8ojtzn9H-8?si=n7znAoeI8WyVuOxb](https://youtu.be/c8ojtzn9H-8?si=n7znAoeI8WyVuOxb)

At this point, print up all the shapes in the 3D printed mouse shape-tester mega-pack first. Even ordering that through a 3D printing service will be cheaper than continuously buying new mice. Once you find your niche mouse, if Mchose, Zaopin, Attack-Shark, etc.... haven't made it, look online for a 3D printed shell mod kit for an existing mouse, order the shell mod kit and the mouse it modifies, and enjoy your new niche mouse. Alternatively, keep using these current mice with new grip styles. I strongly recommend trying MCP-claw (a grip style I was heavily opposed to, until I tried it out, and discovered that it's actually amazingly comfortable) which is where you slot the top-side ridge of the mouse between the knuckles on your palm, and the only other part of your palm that touches the mouse is (sometimes) the thumb portion of your palm. For some mice they slot between your ring and pinky finger knuckle, for others your middle and ring finger knuckles (the Kysona Uranus Pro is a rare mouse for having a central ridge in the middle of the mouse to slot between your pointy and middle finger knuckles). MCP claw is surprisingly stable, and since it doesn't really on palm contact, you basically have full freedom of motion with it. Not the same as fingertip, but more than any other claw grip. The MayaX has one such ridge on it's rear hump specifically to slot between your pointy and ring knuckles, with a little indent on the side for your ring and pinky knuckles to rest in. They're very subtle details that you can't really see due to the matte coating, but they're very much there, so give it a try and see if you like it. If you're a fingertip-main however, the X2 mini (crazylight non-medium, and the final release version of the X2F - current releases of the X2F are still beta and alpha products unfortunately), beast X mini (the beast Miao is effectively the same mouse but with the rear hump smushed so it stops touching your palm), and non-X Maya (soon a fingertip-only version will be announced, supposedly sometime around July according to the current teasers), are all goated fingertip shapes. The Kysona Uranus Pro is also a goated fingertip shape (though the left mouse button is a bit on the tall side) that also happens to be a goated relaxed-carpal-claw shape as well. And of course, the Gwolves HSK, Fenrir Asym, and Fenrir Pro, are the 3 respective kings of fingertip grip (which one is for you depends on your hand size, and grip style, some people find the Asym to be perfect and hate the HSK, others hate the Asym and find the HSK to be perfect, 3D print some shape testers or just a few flat cubes that match the side widths and angles so see if you want a wider mouse or a narrower mouse). But otherwise yeah, either this is a case of the muscles in your hand are currently developing and nothing will feel good for about 6 months. After which everything will feel amazing for about 6 months. After which one specific mouse will feel even MORE amazing for years-life now that your muscles have finished toning up. Or this is a case of, you meed the shape-tester mega-pack to find the obscure niche mouse that tickles your pickle in just the right way.

If you want pure fingertip grip, then go for it. If you have a 3D printer, print up the shapes (there is an online database of all the mice somewhere, use that to find the mice you're looking at and trial the shapes) and find out for yourself which one you want the most. If you still want the hump, then the Pulsar X2 mini is what I'd recommend (easily the best fingertip mouse I've ever touched, though I do use the hump as a rest when being lazy and browsing YouTube, not having it wouldn't be the end of the universe though). As far as grips go, it's honestly so hard to predict what you'll love and hate. Some people find the hump on the asym mice absolutely game-changing for all the right reasons. Others find it "game-changing" for all the wrong reasons. If you have the free cash (and no 3D printer) get both Fenris mice since you'll never know whether you want the asymmetric hump or not until you try it. Otherwise, I would recommend the X2F since it's taking an already amazing fingertip mouse shape (that's known to be unanimously amazing for everyone) and making it a pure fingertip grip mouse shape. It's definitely the safest option here. Personally I don't really find height to be all that impactful ngl, but do note that as the weight decreases, each gram becomes exponentially more noticeable. I mean holding 1 gram vs 2 grams is noticeable since that's a doubling in weight, so although the difference between a 130 gram mouse and a 100 gram mouse is not very noticeable, the difference between a 40 gram mouse and a 20 gram mouse is huge. That being said, shape is more important than weight, and if the shape is wrong for you, a 20 gram mouse will feel heavier (in the hand, plot twist our body doesn't use grams to measure the weight of objects, so the shape actually has more impact on the "felt weight" than the actual physical weight itself) than a 40 gram mouse if it's the wrong shape for you. So when it comes to the Gwolves mice you're gambling that they're the right shape for you. I mean nothing is stopping you from buying them, and there is a larger chance that they'll be an amazing shape for you than anything. But if you're pressed for cash and buying multiple new mice isn't in-store for you, the X2F is guaranteed to be an amazing shape and definitely the "safe" option.

Been using the Fenris Max and now the pro. I'm not sure I'm sold on going lower and lower on the click height like they are. I honestly would like to see some bigger/wider ftip nice.
