Hitscan hyperlight. Source: I have one
Hitscan Hyperlight. It's amazing.
If you have medium to large hands, the Viper V3 Pro is the best option, especially if you're working and gaming with it. While the hyperlight is a great gaming mouse, it's just a lot smaller and requires your hand to more aggressively grip the mouse. This will cause fatigue and cramping over long work sessions.
Viper v3 pro would probably be fine, but it's definitely big. You might be more comfortable on a lamzu Maya, egg Xm2 or op1, or hitscan hyper light. People rave about zowie as well, I just don't know them well enough to recommend a specific model. People also love Scyrox, except some people complain that they do not implement the sensor very well. I would investigate more. It might be a great choice for you. One key thing to know is that every single mouse these days uses the same 2-3 sensors and 2-3 processors. Those sensors and processors have a baseline capability, so really performance on mice these days is just a non-issue. Some companies create firmware that works better than others (hence why people complain that the same sensor feels worse or better on one mouse than another), but ultimately the most important feature is *shape*: How it feels in your hand, how it feels to move on the surface of your mousepad. Also, consistent reports and reviews of good build quality is important. Research is the best way to find what you like! I personally ordered multiple and kept the one I liked the most. Just make sure where you're buying has good return policy if you do that.
Hitscan Hyperlight. It's 40g, great QC, Omron opticals and a sensor position moved a smidge towards the front of the mouse; that combo made me a believer
Hitscan hyperlight and the Scyrox V6 have served me very very well this past year for games like rivals, overwatch, Destiny 2, etc.
Hitscan Hyperlight I have small hands and I used to use the Viper Mini, but wanted something wireless so I switched to this.
Happy to share; my personal belief holds that people are just a bit stubborn with their hardware beliefs, and while I wasn't sure about this initially, it has been confirmed to be true for myself when I made this massive change to my setup about 2 months ago and started playing Faceit again 1 month ago (and I've gone from 2.1k elo to nearly 2.8k elo in that one month despite the recent elo reset\^\^ Exclusively solo queue, too!) I have a Hitscan Hyperlight, SkyPAD 3, and Unusual Way Sports Pink Fox skates. I had a cloth pad with default skates before this, and, even though people online were making me fear the "getting used to" period, the new setup felt much more natural.
I'm convinced that the gaming mice market is competitive enough that it is not possible to provide any actually revolutionary products - You might make the lightest mice, you might find a new shape that suits a new demographic, but that's about it. Any technical improvements are going to be neglible. However, with the ridiculous hype surrounding this mouse, I am starting to question if I am wrong. I don't think any other mouse had this effect recently. I don't even follow mice news, I just watch some CS2 content, and it's all over the channels being praised universally as being very responsive. The first few times, I just ignored it and assumed it was a secretly paid promotion or something, but it's come to the point that I can't really ignore it anymore. Are these influencer just used to mainstream mice and this mouse just happens to fit them a lot better, or am I being too stubborn to accept that this mouse is actually a gamechanger somehow?
I love small mice, so this specific mouse is a no-go for me. The scary part for me is that the Hitscan Hyperlight I've been loving might not be my end-game mouse anymore if this tech actually makes a difference and we get another mouse with similar shapre to the Viper Mini that has this tech 😅
A very strong yes on this one, lol. I am not giving up shape and weight for a very minor improvement on latency. If a shape I like comes with this feature, I would consider it. Coming from a Viper V2 Pro to Hitscan Hyperlight, the improvement in comfort (and, naturally, my aim) was insane.
>So u don't like it coz of the shape? I don't think I asked anything related to shape but nice to know.. Shape is an instant turnoff, and if it had the same shape, I almost certainly wouldn't upgrade when it is 50% heavier than my current mouse. >You haven't tried it yet, the Superstrike? I will not try it; the only way I might get to personally try the tech is if it is implemented in a smaller shape, and I would most likely only consider it if it is also a light mouse. I can't justify spending money on a mouse that I know I won't like 😅 I am 3k elo on Faceit and my strongest aspect is my aim, so I believe the shape and weight of my current mouse is working wonders for me.
Hitscan Hyperlight is a 40 gram mouse whereas the Superstrike is a 60 gram mouse. That is literally a 50% increase in weight. Of course it is impossible to asses weight in isolation because different mice have different shapes, too. However, I did have a "Holy shit the Viper V2 Pro is a brick in comparison" moment when I moved to this mouse, and Viper V2 Pro is slightly lighter than the Superstrike at 58 grams.
