The M6 8k has a metal free-scroll wheel.
r/Keychron • Keychron M7 8K wireless mouse review ->I hated the scroll wheel in stepped mode. Also in free-wheel it rattled left-right if you lift the mouse. I disassembled it to try and fix it. Left to right play was an easy fix, and there is too much space for the wheel axle to play so I put a small thin sheet of hobby plastic on the left side, it's perfect. The other issue with the loud clicks in stepped mode was a real hassle to fix. I disassembled the whole scroll wheel mechanism and loosen the metal sheets that grip the wheel in ratchet mode. Also added some cable insulator on those sheets of metal and now it is way quieter and also tactile.
r/Keychron • Keychron M7 8K wireless mouse review ->I went ahead and got the Keychron M6 with the 3950 sensor with customizable polling rate up to 8K Hz polling rate for $80. One of the most comfortable ergo mouse and extremely light weight for a productivity mouse without gimping out on performance for gaming. The M6 has actually replaced my previous daily driver the Viper V3 Pro even though it's heavier, the silent switches and the ergo shape are what I prefer more.
r/MouseReview • This is the best mouse for large(r) hands? FML, what should I get instead? ->Silent switches, 3950 sensor, and infinite scrolling wheel with up to 8k Hz polling rate.
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->He's over exaggerating. Comparing the M6 8K to my Razer Viper V3 Pro side by side, the M6 is dead silent vs the Viper V3 Pro. You can hear the scroll wheel scrolling steps on the Viper V3 Pro vs the more muted scroll wheel on the M6 and the scroll wheel stepping is near non existent on the M6. You hear nothing at all with the infinite scrolling enabled.
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->Yes it's a gaming mouse. Has lighter switches than vast majority of gaming mouse on the market right now. Has 3950 sensor and can do up to 8K Hz polling rate. Lightest productivity mouse with gaming performance that cost $80. This mouse has replaced my previous daily driver the Razer Viper V3 Pro as the ergo shape and silent switches are what I prefer more.
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->It's not. I swapped from the Viper V3 Pro to this ergo shape and have gotten more consistent headshots in OW and Marvel Rivals. My aim is also far more stable on the M6 than it is with the Viper V3 Pro. This mouse isn't that large, fits medium to small sized hands perfectly. In terms of length is about the same as the Viper V3 Pro. If you use a relaxed claw grip then the M6 is extremely comfortable.
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->That was my original first choice when I was browsing for a new ergo mouse to try but the M6 being $40 cheaper while having the capability to change the polling rate to 8K as well as having silent switches was what ultimately made me go with the M6. I for one have already long phased out of the RGB trend and don't care about having RGB on any peripherals.
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->Weighs lighter than the G305 using a AAA battery(my original night time gaming mouse modded with silent switches) with the battery adapter.
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->Scroll wheel is pretty standard. I could use a firmer detent on the scroll, but it's definitely nothing worth complaining about. There's definite tactile feedback. The scroll wheel click is quite a bit stiffer than the main clicks, though. I use middle click a lot, too, and I do find the M7 ever so slightly too stiff. Fortunately, there are no major issues when it comes to contact if you're holding middle click to drag or rotate, so that's positive. Check out the M6 8K. I think as a symptom of the metal scroll wheel, it's a lot lighter to click. It also has the side scroll and scroll wheel tilt, both of which can be remapped to whatever input you want.
r/MouseReview • Keychron M7 8K long-term review — A lightweight gaming mouse with 8K polling that does it all (almost) ->Full review here: [https://www.notebookcheck.net/A-lightweight-gaming-mouse-with-8K-polling-that-does-it-all-almost-Keychron-M7-8K-long-term-review.989275.0.html](https://www.notebookcheck.net/A-lightweight-gaming-mouse-with-8K-polling-that-does-it-all-almost-Keychron-M7-8K-long-term-review.989275.0.html) I used the Keychron M7 8K for four months. Here is my review from the perspective of someone who is mostly a productivity user but also does some gaming. I generally liked the mouse, even if the lack of a free scroll wheel is somewhat limiting. Battery life more or less lives up to Keychron's claims, and I feel like it's more than sufficient, especially at 1 or 2 kHz polling. Alternative mouse feet and grip tape would have been nice add-ons, too, especially for a company that makes such repairable and mod-able keyboards... I wish Keychron had implemented some more advanced options, like a way to momentarily drop the DPI for scoped shots or sensor rotation options, but in general, you get what you pay for, and for all-round use, this thing kinda slaps. The coating is pretty solid, and even though it has worn a little over the months, it hasn't turned into a sticky mess. It just gets a little shiny.
r/Keychron • Keychron M7 8K wireless mouse review ->The M6 8K free scroll wheel is actually decent. It's metal now. It's a little loud, but that's only noticeable because the rest of the buttons are so darn quiet lol.
r/Keychron • Keychron M7 8K wireless mouse review ->[https://www.notebookcheck.net/Keychron-M6-8K-wireless-mouse-review-Ergonomic-responsive-and-surprisingly-sturdy.1087758.0.html](https://www.notebookcheck.net/Keychron-M6-8K-wireless-mouse-review-Ergonomic-responsive-and-surprisingly-sturdy.1087758.0.html) I'd certainly also consider the M6 8K for your use case. I reviewed it recently, and I was quite impressed. It weighs about the same as the DeathAdder V2 Pro, but it's somewhere between a vertical mouse and a "normal" gaming mouse in terms of ergoes. I find it rather comfortable to use for both work and gaming, and it's pretty good for palm grip, and my wrist is way less awkwardly positioned on that than other mice I've used.
r/Keychron • Razer ProClick V2 Vertical vs Keytron M5 Vertical (FPS & Palm Grip - big hands) ->I have an M6 4k and M7 8K. Thru are very good and haven't had issues with either, and the software is web based like all of Keychron so it works flawlessly on Linux. The M6 only issue is the scrollwheel but I'm comparing it to the MX Master and that's kind of cheating because that scrollwheel alone costs more than 70% of mice that get recommended here. The shape is great and feels robust. Apparently the 8K has a better scrollwheel. The M7 is also great, its in an awkward limbo between productivity mouse and gaming mouse. As a productivity one it falls short because lacks buttons and functionality on rhenscrollwheel, and as a gaming one it only works because I like big mice for a very relaxed palm grip, and even then the third thumb button is weirdly places so its hard to reach and you have to tilt your hand a bit. Other than that I imagine that if anyone has complains about Keychron, is not about their quality but the fact other brands have released as good or better products for cheaper, so its the same as its happening in a lot of other hobbies, a race to the bottom in prices in an industry dominated by Chinese clones of something good.
r/MouseReview • Are Keychron mice any good? ->For anyone interested in the M6,make sure to get the metal scrollwheel, which is only found on the 2.0
r/MouseReview • End game silent gaming mouse ->I have the m6 8k and yeah, it's great. Scrollwheel is better than the 1k version but not perfect. I really like the weight, coating, sensor. 8k also has quiet clicks, sidewheel isn't as stiff.
r/MouseReview • Are Keychron mice any good? ->Hi. It has different clicks, quiet ones. No squeak here at all on the clicks, middle click also seems fine. You may have got the very first revision, with a rougher coating? I also had a 1k variant but I think mine was rev. 2, ABS coating was different. There is a comparison on youtube [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9RpDra4yZo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9RpDra4yZo)
r/MouseReview • Are Keychron mice any good? ->Scroll wheel sound on M6 is horrible. There is no way you can tolerate that sound, especially after using the MX Master. Unless you use it always on infinity scroll (this mode is silent), but this implies that you don't use the third click. r/MouseReview • Can a gaming mouse be a GOOD productivity mouse? ->My Logitech G502 still works but has the dreaded double click issue. I now use an M6 from Keychron. Props to the display though.
r/pcmasterrace • [ Removed by moderator ] ->Only thing I’m not a fan of with specifically the m6 is the side for my thumb is really slippery and the forward & back buttons are a little oddly placed to not help me lift the mouse.
r/macgaming • Mouse recommendation for macbook? ->Keychron M6, got tired of all the "gaming" stuff from Razer and Logitech breaking in 2-3 years 1.5 half year so far, zero issues
r/DotA2 • Wireless Mouse for Dota 2 ->I usually put it on charge along with the headphones at the end of the day, but otherwise it's around 30-40 hours of nonstop use on max polling rate (I have the 4K version)
r/DotA2 • Wireless Mouse for Dota 2 ->I don’t know what you define as high latency, but I would say anything with a 2,4 ghz receiver is more than fast enough. Also the m6 ist quite light I think, 78 grams seems super light to me. Sadly they feel quite cheap I think.
r/macgaming • Mouse recommendation for macbook? ->Just checked on the site and the m6 is by far the lightest of the four mice
r/macgaming • Mouse recommendation for macbook? ->Well I if I’m not mistaken the m6 has a 1000 hz polling rate with, the m7 can be bought with a 8000 hz polling rate. I mean more is always better but I’m also quite sure you wouldn’t notice the jump there as 1000 hz is already quite quick. For example via Bluetooth on all mice the max polling rate is about 125 hz so just for comparison. But if you know you need the 8000 hz polling rate maybe the m7 is something for you. I sadly can’t speak about the other mice but you should be able to find that out. I recently had the m3 mini and have to say the lightness is an advantage and disadvantage, coming from a g502 (heavier than the m3 for sure) the m3 felt quite cheap for example but I guess all light mice do that as they are made of plastic, maybe it’s something you get used to.
r/macgaming • Mouse recommendation for macbook? ->Oh and I’m not completely sure how to convert hz to ms, but if im not mistaken 1000 hz updates 1000 times a second so should be able to calculate from there that 1000 hz is 1ms
r/macgaming • Mouse recommendation for macbook? ->Probably the m6, since I think I prefer a heavier mouse. And since I’m on Mac for me the usb c dongle is a big plus that’s why Logitech isn’t really on my radar and also I don’t want anything that looks gamery, can’t stand any more of that rgb aggressive gaming look. But I’m also still not completely sure, and there is not a lot on the market that fits my criteria
