Full review here: [https://www.notebookcheck.net/A-lightweight-gaming-mouse-with-8K-polling-that-does-it-all-almost-Keychron-M7-8K-long-term-review.989275.0.html](https://www.notebookcheck.net/A-lightweight-gaming-mouse-with-8K-polling-that-does-it-all-almost-Keychron-M7-8K-long-term-review.989275.0.html) I used the Keychron M7 8K for four months. Here is my review from the perspective of someone who is mostly a productivity user but also does some gaming. I generally liked the mouse, even if the lack of a free scroll wheel is somewhat limiting. Battery life more or less lives up to Keychron's claims, and I feel like it's more than sufficient, especially at 1 or 2 kHz polling. Alternative mouse feet and grip tape would have been nice add-ons, too, especially for a company that makes such repairable and mod-able keyboards... I wish Keychron had implemented some more advanced options, like a way to momentarily drop the DPI for scoped shots or sensor rotation options, but in general, you get what you pay for, and for all-round use, this thing kinda slaps. The coating is pretty solid, and even though it has worn a little over the months, it hasn't turned into a sticky mess. It just gets a little shiny.

The M6 8K free scroll wheel is actually decent. It's metal now. It's a little loud, but that's only noticeable because the rest of the buttons are so darn quiet lol.

I reviewed it recently, and I was quite impressed. It weighs about the same as the DeathAdder V2 Pro, but it's somewhere between a vertical mouse and a "normal" gaming mouse in terms of ergoes. I find it rather comfortable to use for both work and gaming, and it's pretty good for palm grip, and my wrist is way less awkwardly positioned on that than other mice I've used.

Scroll wheel sound on M6 is horrible. There is no way you can tolerate that sound, especially after using the MX Master. Unless you use it always on infinity scroll (this mode is silent), but this implies that you don't use the third click. Only thing I’m not a fan of with specifically the m6 is the side for my thumb is really slippery and the forward & back buttons are a little oddly placed to not help me lift the mouse.

I don’t know what you define as high latency, but I would say anything with a 2,4 ghz receiver is more than fast enough. Also the m6 ist quite light I think, 78 grams seems super light to me. Sadly they feel quite cheap I think.

Just checked on the site and the m6 is by far the lightest of the four mice

Well I if I’m not mistaken the m6 has a 1000 hz polling rate with, the m7 can be bought with a 8000 hz polling rate. I mean more is always better but I’m also quite sure you wouldn’t notice the jump there as 1000 hz is already quite quick. For example via Bluetooth on all mice the max polling rate is about 125 hz so just for comparison. But if you know you need the 8000 hz polling rate maybe the m7 is something for you. I sadly can’t speak about the other mice but you should be able to find that out. I recently had the m3 mini and have to say the lightness is an advantage and disadvantage, coming from a g502 (heavier than the m3 for sure) the m3 felt quite cheap for example but I guess all light mice do that as they are made of plastic, maybe it’s something you get used to.

Oh and I’m not completely sure how to convert hz to ms, but if im not mistaken 1000 hz updates 1000 times a second so should be able to calculate from there that 1000 hz is 1ms

Probably the m6, since I think I prefer a heavier mouse. And since I’m on Mac for me the usb c dongle is a big plus that’s why Logitech isn’t really on my radar and also I don’t want anything that looks gamery, can’t stand any more of that rgb aggressive gaming look. But I’m also still not completely sure, and there is not a lot on the market that fits my criteria

as far as i know, the only mouse with infinite scroll and no rubber on the body is the keychron m6. there is also some mid to low end mice like ugreen m751 that's okay for work and stuff. edit: actually i think razer's naga v2 pro/hyperspeed also has infinite scroll without rubber. edit again: the naga v2 pro has some rubber grip for the fps and 6 button side plates, the mmo plate is the same as naga v2 hyperspeed.

I just got the Keychron M6-A1 and have the mx master 3 in the box next to me to send back or sell. Would recommend. It comes with multiple 2.4ghz adapters so you can leave the adapters in the home/work machines and take the mouse to work if you want. OR, as you say, it's just closer to the MX for home use. No magnetic auto release on free scroll but it's close enough.

This was complete news to me also. I think I might never buy Logitech again.

Without knowing what you play or what your measurements are I’ll just toss a couple general recommendations for big handed folks. Since you like the m550L (which I use at the office, there is a quiet click version with side buttons) and you don’t totally hate the g502 (the thumb rest) my strongest suggestion is a keychron m6: /m7- the m7 is basically the 502 with better scroll wheel placement, the m6 is heavier but with a high center arch that you might find more comfortable. Seeing how you’re palming a 502 like it’s a children’s toy I’d also suggest the largest ergos: pulsar xlite v3 large (maybe this is called the v4 now)/ zowie EC1

I use my ec3-c for productivity, I recommend you the keychron m6 the shape is similar to mx master 3s but the size is small and the specs are better.

You can game with the m6 competitively it doesn't have a shit sensor and polling rate Like the mx master 3s for half of the price

Small mouse, good specs, and I think you'll use the extra feature that comes with the m6.

+1 or if I'm plugged into my monitor, I have a magic track pad. Gestures are great for my LR workforce. But for other Adobe software I prefer a mouse and use the Keychron M6 for the side scroll wheel. It's a pretty decent mouse but I actually think it's too light.

I went on a similar journey as you, from mx master 3, then razer basilisk, then Logitech g502x, then Keychron M6. My main goal was to find something that fit the ergonomic shape of mx master, but a wired version of that. I have just started using the Redragon M811, and I’m loving it so far. It fits in my hand much better than the M6. It’s also wired and has a *ton* of buttons you can map. There’s no horizontal scroll wheel though. This one is definitely the best I have found for my goal of wired mouse that feels similar in shape to mx master.

Keychron m6 - it's 70g, web driver, have Bluetooth and 2.4ghz dongle and 1k polling rate for casual gaming. It is using 3395 sensor, still pretty powerful even tho it is no longer flagship. It also still have the side scrolling for productivity like the mx master.

Keychron M6 or M7 are great G502 style modern affordable mice. They have higher polling optional or 1K if you don't care. These are durable and surprisingly good OP1 / XM2 are insanely well performing mice but more competitive performance that happens to be comfortable and hard wired. These are durable and performance focused. Pulsar makes some cool designed mice that are competitive but pricey well designed mice with a nice web UI. Performance and Aesthetics with good build quality but more brittle than some.

on detent mode, the clicks of the scroll wheel are very loud and plastic-sounding, and it does not feel smooth - quite brittle. there is a button that unlocks the wheel so it spins without detents, but unlike logitech's magentic mechanism for doing this, it is a physical mechanism, and pressing this button is also loud and feels very cheap. the plastic it is made of feels very cheap and nasty, too. again, quite hollow and brittle. actually using the mouse is okay. the shape is pretty good, and it's MUCH lighter weight than, say, the logitech mx master series that it has a similar shape to. the main buttons feel good, the latency is low, the sensor is decent (though i do not think it is perfect). i have mostly replaced it with a logitech g pro x superlight 2, and for gaming i much prefer this, but they're very different kinds of mice.

[https://www.keychron.com/collections/mice-collectionKeychron](https://www.keychron.com/collections/mice-collectionKeychron) Keychron sell mouse that have decent review everywhere. The only problem is the stock. [https://www.pulsar.gg/collections/mice](https://www.pulsar.gg/collections/mice) Pulsar is also a popular brand of Ultra-low weight mouse. and thier are still the best offering on Glasspad. The most enthusiast mouse atm as i know is the mouse of Optimum PC. [https://youtu.be/oMUEsz71\_xQ](https://youtu.be/oMUEsz71_xQ) [https://zeromouse.co/products/blade](https://zeromouse.co/products/blade) There would be a drop this month normally. As far as my opinion go. The Keychron M6 is possibly the best value for versatile usage and light weight browser base software. If my G502 die one day i will probably do everything possible to avoid any of the gaming brand product. I had a lot of issue with G hub his past 5 years.
