Tbf he mentioned he’s a non-competitive gamer. I have a G203 Lightsync and G305 Lightspeed and as a non-competitive gamer myself I don’t notice a difference between the two sensors. In fact I sort of prefer the G203 because it’s lighter. And I doubt OP will want to get into AAA to AA adapters with lithium batteries etc.

G203 is considered a small mouse. And the DA essential more medium entering on large. [Check them out on eloshapes.](https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=razer-deathadder-essential-vs.-logitech-g203-lightsync-vs.-steelseries-rival-3-vs.-royal-kludge-m30)

get a g203, viper mini, deathadder essential, literally any "reputable brand" other than redragon. redragon still uses prehistoric avago laser sensors that werent good when they released 10 years ago, the fact that they sell them is insane

compared to any other $25 mouse the g203's switch implementation is fine. it was only an issue ~6 years ago when they used the 50m's, ever since the superlight theyve had top tier debouncing or opticals on all their mice. it's only a concern if youre buying their older midrange mice

No, it’s not comfortable at all. Try budget options from other brands. I used it for around 4 years, my girl has this mouse from 2 and a half years, both of us didn’t get used to it fully, it has an awkward shape.

I’ve had this mouse for 6 years. I have the G203 Prodigy edition. Incredible mouse, still holds up today. However, I strongly recomand an AttackShark X3 or a VXE R1. Both are wireless mice, much better than the current g203 and have 3395 sensors. The VXE has a longer lasting battery of around 150 hours. Both mice cost the same as a g203 but both weigh only 50grams

i was between this and the orochi v2. I already owned a g102. I chose the orochi at the end ofthe day cause g305 is too heavy. But i regret it. Orochi has too narrow shape making you hold it with a tighter grip that tires the hand. Also i get used to g102 when i am at home and then need to "relearn" the orochi while i am at work which is an extra hassle.

Need a mouse in the 60-70 AUD range, What I am looking for is: 1. Medium in size, I used the razer deathadder, logitech g102 before, The deathadder felt nice, g102 was a bit smaller but manageable. 2. good buttons, Specially a good wheel. Among the 3 gaming mice(3rd being aorus m2 lol) I've used in my life, all 3 of their wheels got fvcked in like less than a year. The m2 lasted a whole before fully killing the wheel. G102 was alright, it works most of the time but not always. And the worst being deathadder, Both the wheel and the cable died under 3 months wtf. 3. not ugly. It doesn't have to be pretty But I saw mouses with goofy lighting which legit looks like sticker(could be sticker idk). 4. weight doesn't matter that much since I'll not be using it for competitive or hardcore gaming. 5. wireless Thank you.

If your hand isn't humongous, then you might like the shape of VXE R1 Pro. Reviewers say this is the king of budget mice because it is on par with premium mice, they say it is basically a "clone" of the much more expensive logitech gpx. It has ergonomic shape, comfortable, not a spaceship on your desk. If you do decide to get it, get the Pro variant, not the cheaper variants, and not the Pro Max. Just "Pro". Because of switches. This is a FPS mouse, so standard 2 main buttons, clickable mousewheel, plus only 2 side buttons, (MMORPG gaming mice have more side buttons). Has wired versions. You can also go with the much cheaper Logitech G203, but expect the switches to start double clicking within its first year. So this mouse is only viable if you have some soldering skills, or know someone, so you could replace the switches. Otherwise, its complete waste of money. It is also a lot heavier than VXE R1, annoying if you are used to using lightweight mice. But it is dirt cheap. In the end, if you can find a mouse that you like the shape, the shape, the weight, thats all that matters. Because you can replace the insides (aka mouse modding). You can replace switches, use grip tape, change the under skates, etc.

It used to have good sensor (Mercury) while back, but they changed it to cheaper sensor that can cause spinout at as low as 2.3m/s. It was already talked about [here](https://new.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/j7i6ws/psa_the_g102g203_lightsync_does_not_feature_the/) and see in [this](https://imgur.com/a/0yhH1hA) image. This was good choice, but for the price chinese wireless mice with 3395 sensor are superior to G203.

I'd agree with that. My first one I bought in 2017 lasted me the longest. It was before it was branded as "light sync". Ever since they switched to the light sync models I've noticed a big drop off in longevity so I think you are right. I can't recommend them anymore.

Time to time lurker here. I got my first gaming mouse around 2019-ish; it was the Logitech G102 Prodigy. After some time, I learned about the Strix Impact II here and got one due to the shape being similar and hotswappable primary switches after a few G102 double-clicking, but now the scroll wheel started to jitter or jump. I don't know the proper term. On the software side, I used Ghub the longest, and compared to ROCCAT's and Armory Crate, there was another lighter Ghub. I can't recall the name or if it was portable, but I would have preferred it over Armory Crate for the Strix Impact II, but at least it's not like Roccat's software that bricked a mouse. I've worn cotton gloves to manage sweat before; it wasn't comfortable, so I'm curious about the Ace Mini's coating, but I like the hump on the Ace Extreme; the size seems closer to the Strix Impact II.

zowie b v2 series has really thick plastic walls, much thicker than the newer c or d series. or just regular b series but that's downgraded in a lot of ways. if u can find either of them new. there's also metal mice but the base is generally brittle plastic with honeycomb holes and quite easy to crack since the metal doesn't bend to give any structural leeway, if you drop it on the base it'll break even easier than a plastic mouse. g102/203 are ok too but outdated sensor wise. ironically the older g pro wired is better, especially the oldest 3366 variant (you can distinguish them via sticker shape on the bottom and cable). g305 is ok too but the clicks on mine went to shit after a while so i just use the g pro 3366 instead. the pro intellimouse also has some fans seems fairly well built, but i've never tried it.

well, let's be honest. They are mediocre at many many products, but their mice, even the cheap ones, are good. really good. Had a G102 (bought for $15) for three years, and i was gaming 8hours per day. zero absolutely zero complains. Around the 3 year-mark, the middle button started double clicking once per ten clicks on average. $5 per year of hardcore use, sounds like a deal to me.

Rakk Dasig - heavy at 90g, outdated 3325 G102 - heavy at 85g, outdated 1855 Aula SC580 - heavy and another 3325, better build quality than Rakk Dasig at least Viper Mini - 3359 is old but acceptable, high lift off distance (preference), good but relatively slow skates. Actually usable weight (60 ish grams) too bad its discontinued and there are no viper minis that arent fakes below 1k, the razer cobra (viper mini replacement) starts at 2k. Hawk 1 - avoid Garuda Gear brand as a whole, too many quality control issues Attack Shark X11 - old 3311 sensor, avoid their sub 1k mice and go straight to 3395 like their Attack Shark X3 VXE R1 - build quality issue, luck of the draw depending on the batch you get. Go straight to R1 Pro for higher chance of better QC, issues dont show up until weeks or months in use (switches or scroll wheel is usually first to show issues, shell creaking and slam clicking problems as well but those are rarer with the model I mentioned) Only mouse I would consider from that list is VXE R1, but you're better off saving 2k+ for more better options

I'm sorry, but 200€ for a keyboard which feels like it's from a 2005 laptop and keycaps wear off in just a few months? The only good mice I ever had were the G102, G305 and the Superlight. Although, the Superlight's price is completely elsewhere, with the scroll wheel encoder which breaks down in months. For the software, G HUB, more like G BUG. The Superlight 2 was a let down, no weight reduction or shape improvements. I would rather see a G305 refresh with a lighter body while keeping the awesome eggy shape.

All Logitech gaming products are trash. G102 mouse died for no reason, G213 keyboard arrived with several keys dead, G512 keyboard had problems in all ctrl-shift-alt keys. Second G102 has double clicking and erratic scroll wheel behavior. Threw the keyboard after it got an acute case of getting HULK SMASHed and got a Ducky One III. I'm waiting for mouse to get itself smashed too to get a Zowie EC3. I kept getting Logitech because I had another Logitech product and didn't want to install a second peripheral program, but I managed to break the cycle. Fuck Logitech G.

IMO Logitech G203, or G305 if you want wireless, and 90% of people would be set for a good decade.

ah okay thanks. My hands are roughly the same size as yours - when I claw grip with this mouse my palm is touching the mousepad and not supported by the back , unless you use more aggressive claw. If this is a dealbreaker, I would then recommend maybe the g203

Yeah, they are so old there was even a price hike few years ago. It frustrated me a lot because I used the wired version (G102, bought from Japan) for years and was eyeing G305 for a long time but they went and upped the price in the meantime. Although after checking I am not sure if the Lightspeed version is just a rehash, because in Finnish sites G305 is just G305 without Lightspeed in the name. This is my absolute favourite mouse of all time. I made two preset DPI settings and saved them, don't use the horrible app and batteries aren't a problem for me since I use re-chargeable batteries and they last for ages anyway. I like the small form factor and the two thumb buttons are placed perfectly. My first serious gaming mouse was Razer Diamondback back in the day (2005 or so) and that formed my grip and love for smaller mice. I hate big gaming mice, they feel clunky. I am also a high-DPI player so small mouse is perfect for my.

I’ve tried a lot of gaming mice over the years and they’re all the same - high price tags, poor quality components. None of them lasted for more than a few years before they started double clicking or having scroll wheel issues. I’d recommend the basic wired Logitech G203, or G502 if you want something more ergonomic. Personally I don’t see why you’d ever need anything more than that for CS.

Logitech G102, mine's been running since 2018. I mostly play fps. Personally, I wouldn't recommend brands like cosmic byte, reddragon etc.

If you dont want to spend too much for wired i can suggest logitech g203 prodigy or razer viper mini which i used both in the past. Although wireless mouses last pretty long,if the mouse doesnt have a charging deck and just uses battery,u can buy rechargable battery pack which isnt pricey and a recharger. Im using a wireless g305 rn and the battery it came with lasted me like 6 months before it started bugging out. Ive gone through 3 batteries so far and only charged them once.

Its a decent fairly cheap mouse. I owned a g203 prodigy few years ago (dunno if its any different from lightsync or its the exact same mouse) i used it for like 3 or 4 years. I liked the mouse tbh, it was comfortable and had 0 problems with the sensor. Like other have said u could get the g305 wireless, its the exact same mouse. I recently purchased one myself but not sure if im gonna keep it or return it cause i ordered the g403 hero too. If u are buying from amazon i think the g305 is still on sale and it might be only slightly more expensive than the g203

I have this mouse right now. It's amazing, and probably the best mouse I ever had. As a lol player I wouldn't call it bad for competitive games. The wire moves freely and you can adjust dpi how much you need.

Try to find an older G203 Prodigy with a Mercury sensor, or get the G305 which has a Hero sensor.

Going through that with a old G203. Switch for changing DPI now randomly trigging when gaming which is more than a little frustrating.

I've had my best aim era with g203 never felt that feeling again. +23 mice on my own. Ec2 feels like a glove coming fron g203. Superlighit feels comfy but the clicks arent crazy. Good luck.

I had one and bought another when the first started double-clicking because I liked it so much. Its moderately lightweight at 85g - & like others have said, pretty cheap. Only 1k polling rate but for someone non-competitive like you said, that shouldnt matter. Logitech software isnt the greatest but thats not a huge downside, its passable. All in all its an amazing budget option if you don’t care too much about high polling rate or extremely low weight! Only thing I’d recommend is maybe investing in some new mouse skates after the stock ones wear out - they aren’t the greatest. (I went with Xraypad Jade speed skates, but skates and pads are personal preference)

Same issue on my G203 mainly scroll wheel but i figured there had to be debris in it soo i pulled out my PC Blower and focused the air onto the crevices of the Scroll wheel and it's back to where it was when i first used it
