I claw grip with like 20x10.5 hands on a g303 shroud edition
I was going to offer my take on a review of this mouse because I really liked it but you nailed it on so many levels that it seems totally unnecessary. This mouse really impressed me, I gotta say that I have maybe 15 mice. I will give it a list G pro X, Viper Mini V3 Pro Hyperspeed, lamzu atlantis mini, lamzu Maya, X2V2 mini, Vaxee Np01s, Ninjutsu Sora v2, HSK pro 4k, WLM Miao, WlM Mini Beast, ULX prophecy S, ULX prophecy M, HTX Hati, G303. Shroud, G305, Starlight 12, Air 58 ⦠I would sell all of those just for this mouse ( except the ULXs ) The g pro - doesnāt fit well with me, potato shape. But this here does. The way it makes your hand rest on the shell, giving support and constant contact and allows your distal fingers to be more closely together I think simulates the kind of contact you would get as a kind of elongated pen, for me and my hand size ( medium to small ) it really is a game changer reminded me not of the g303 ( since I have the shroud edition, not Daedalus ) but of the g305, one of the most if not the favorite shape I had experienced until the RCC 1. Great review.
>G303 SE can rightfully go into rectums Wouldn't fit, they made it too chonky.
The BBL on the G303SE is definitely polarising, there's a hard minimum hand size to make it work. Diamond shapes are goated for claw, and it's an underserved part of the market. Even the Arye kinda wimped out a little with the side contours.Ā
I can second this, I use the OP1w 4k and float between fingertip and relaxed pincer claw. It's a super high quality mouse and the narrow front feels more controlled in CS than pretty much any other mouse I've used besides the G303SE that I mained for a few years.
Unfortunately, I was sucked into this hobby in 2016 (don't mind date, old account got shadowbanned) and I've essentially tried a variety of mice. My hands are like 19x9, and I play with a relaxed claw that goes into an aggressive claw when I'm putting more tension on the mouse. From oldest to newest: Logitech G303 (the original) Logitech G Pro (wired G102/G305) Razer Deathadder Chroma Zowie-EC1A Zowie-FK2 Endgame Gear XM1 G303 Shroud Edition Logitech G Pro Superlight Razer Viper (Wired) Ninjutso Katana Ultralight Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Waizowl Cloud VXE R1 Pro ATK X1 Ultimate Endgame Gear XM2w 4k Razer Deathadder V4 Pro ATK Zero Even now, I'm still trying to find the mouse that works for me. The only ones that I felt that really worked out are the G303/G303 SE, the XM1/XM2 and the R1 Pro/Zero. Though I have some slight problems with each of them. The G303/G303SE have become too heavy for me after getting used to all these lightweight mice (and I accidentally tore a ribbon cable of the G303 SE while replacing the battery for the weight mod), but aside from that I've been secretly hoping for the day a G303 clone arrives with updated specs and less weight. I feel that the XM1/XM2 just needs to downsize a little and it would be perfect, and the R1/Zero are fine, but they're just missing the locked in feeling the G303 and the XM1 gives me. Any recommendations that fit in well? Budget is unlimited, and the games I play vary from CS2 to Apex Legends to TF2 and Deadlock. I'm fine with the weight being up to 60 grams. EDIT: Ended up picking up the OP1w 4k V2 and man the back hump makes it far more comfortable compared to the Superlight 2c where it felt like my ring and pinky finger was going to cramp up after a couple of runs in a kovaaks scenario. Keeping it as my main, while repurposing my Waizowl Cloud to be used for non-gaming stuff because of how comfortable it feels in the hand.
ive had no issues with my g303se over 5 years, just the skates wearing down over time which is normal
Iāve been using the G303 Shroud mouse for a few years now and absolutely love it. I have small hands (7x3.25 in) and use a palm grip, and this mouse just fits like a glove. Ironic considering RTings.com says it wonāt fit small hands or palm grips, which seems to be the general consensus, but I simply canāt understand this because it fits me perfectly. That said, it must not be that popular since Logitech has seemingly discontinued it. Are there any other mice that have this shape? Why isnāt this shape more popular? I believe straight mice donāt fit the human hand that well. The diamond shape is such that your fingers pull the mouse back towards the palm, creating a better grip. Furthermore, the corner lines up perfectly with the thumb knuckle which just feels perfect. In my opinion, have the thumb slightly bent just feels more ergonomic. Anyone else wish that more mice took on this shape? And am I the only one that loves to palm grip this mouse??
Thatād be interesting. I never used to original g303 so I donāt know if Iād like it as much. Seems like it might be worse for palm grip due to smaller size.
Yeah my palm always makes contact. Weird that people say it only works for claw grip when imo itās made for palm grip.
Is such a light mouse really that good? I feel like I prefer a mouse with some heft to ground myself if that makes sense. My mmo mouse is too heavy but the g303 feels perfect for me.
I maybe donāt have a good point of comparison but Iāve never felt like g303 se had that big of a hump. Maybe thatās what makes it good for palm grip. Now my mmo mice, those have a real hump.
I agree, feels like mice have been developed to perfection, at least as far as us mere mortals can perceive. Unfortunately Iāve broken mine so I might have to find a third party seller.
Same grip and \~same hand size, started gaming long time ago with the first G502.. then when Logitech made G PRO (G305) shape.. I got the Prodigy one, G203 and used that for a long time. Looking for a lighter replacement I tried: \- XM1 (good shape, great coating, but slightly large, back hump too big, definitely worth trying) \- OP1 (way to narrow, not for me) \- All the Zowies, ended up using for a short time EC-3 (issue: no micro adjustments), ZA-13 (back hump too high) \- GPX 2.. not bad but for some reason can't find a good grip... also, slippery, sold. I'll try the smaller 2 C \- G303 SE, great if it wasn't so big (still use it regularly at work) but G305 has better shape. \- MZ1 awesome.. just unreliable and a liiiiitle bit too small. \- Viper Mini = No! \- G403 that hump's huge. Now trying Mchose L7 Ultra and G3 Ultra... You (me also) want a mouse small enough that let you do micro adjustments with your fingers, it also must have some support where that small palm part touch it. G305 is great at this because you can freely move the mouse, that slightly tilted sides let fingers grab it easily, and when you press it against your palm you have enough support. If I have to pick a mouse right now for the next years, shapewise G305.. Can't understand why Logitech have not yet released a superlight version and is milking with no end the GPX shape.. Think about not buying a mouse because a pro use it but buy it if it suits you, that's what counts.
