I've been using a $20 G402 for *six* years and the left click is only just now finally starting to go. Wanted to get a replacement, glad to hear the 502 sounds like a good choice since that's what I've been eyeing.

Looks like an entire page of bad takes. G402 is pretty much the perfect shape for aiming in an FPS. It looks like a palm mouse but it works perfect for claw/relaxed claw for me with 19.5cm hands. Yea, you can buy better sensors now, but you're probably going to be getting a worse shape to go with it, and annoying Omron optical clicks that are far worse than the stock G402 mechanical. Your only options will probably be something like moving to some potentially strange shape like the Zaopin Z2, Incott Ghero (why is this mouse named this), or some kind of Viper v3 clone.

Bot some stfuff Kind of preference other stuff kind of matters. I had a cheap dell mouse I thought I had bad skills but that mouse was just less responsive. I switched to Logitech g402 amazing mouse and I saw a jump in my ranks without any other changes. But then some people will swear by light mouses vs heavy mouses. That's a personal preference. Unless you're gonna play vct champions it doesn't matter if you play with a heavy or light mouse.

Personally using haste 2 core, I can vouch for it, before that I was using g402 but it was way heavier

I have medium hands, claw fingertype grip. The current mouse i am using is the G402 hyperfury and i have been using this for 9 years now. Guys basically the title. Need a mouse for long hours of work and some gaming, mainly for CRPGs and MMOs. I don't really play FPS competitive games so I dont need the best sensor available, just need something that is very light for long work and good enough for some CRPGs. Priority = light> long battery> sensor

my only concern right now is the shape. I am very much used to the 402 since i didn't change the mouse in almost a decade now and i have read that the vxe is much better for claw grip

Same here! My 402 just refused to die. After resoldering the click button it lived for another 5, I think I owned for a decade. Hearing how much the new ones die, I might just get the Hyperion fury and never think about mice again

Thank you for this comprehensive description! So what I’m learning from it is that all companies try to overcomplicate software whilst cheating out on QC and materials with the new stuff, making the g402 the most reliable out there. I owned one g402 for a decade and when the clicker died, I just resoldered a new one and got another few years out of it. Lesson learned! I was hoping someone has built a reliable tank of a mouse that does all the modern stuff, but it seems that g402 is the way to go again. Thank you!
