Logitech G500 shape is great for my mainly palm grip, having owned since 2009, I'm having to sadly replace mine. I tried the G502 a few years ago and HATED how flat and small at the front it felt, and I don't have that big hands.
r/MouseReview • What's your favorite MOUSE SHAPE of all time? ->I'm old and so are these mouses lol. Prior to the Logitech G500, I had the G5 and before that the MX518 and MX510, all the same shape, very comfy for gaming in palm grip.
r/MouseReview • What's your favorite MOUSE SHAPE of all time? ->G500 have nice design, but buttons are prone to die soon (also replacements). It was when I move to Razer.
r/windowsxp • Some older Logitech gaming mice ->Lies, you havent tried g500 (please bring it back?
r/ADCMains • What are your mouse recommendations for adc main? ->I think i use the g500? It's the Logitech MMO mouse. Use the side buttons or don't, but that's a quality large mouse. I still find myself doing a mini claw when I prefer to palm, but as a large handed fella, we take what we can get
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->G500, not sure how old it is, at least 10 years and still good. Its never needed charging or anything....
r/LogitechG • What Logitech mouse is everyone using right now? ->Once I found the perfect fitting mouse for me, I bought a lifetime supply of them. Logitech g500. I still have like 10
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->Damn, this is a revelation. I was thinking about buying a desoldering pump, and maybe a soldering iron and tin if I can't find where I put those, 'cause my g305 main click is releasing in the middle of a selection or drag action all the time... but it didn't start there, first I got a g500, that had terrible issues with doble clicks and early releases after about 3/4 years so Logitech sent me a g500s, over time that developed the same issues but then I was out of warranty, then I got this g305. I still could go nuts soldering and desoldering on the old wired g500/s, but I'm ordering one of those modular pcbs and some switches right now for the wireless one, hell yeah.
r/buildapc • Wireless Gaming mice without “gamer aesthetic?” ->[Logitech G500](https://imgur.com/YNxdc9J)! Loved it, had a little rack to put weights into, an on/off-able free scroll wheel, the sides were textured a little rough for better grip. I'd buy another one if they made them again just for the nostalgia.
r/MouseReview • What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->I also recommend the Logitech G-series and they're so ergonomically comfortable that at this point I'll never go back. I've had only three since 2007 (G500, G500s, and G502) and all are still working. Technically, I've had to re-tension the the OMRON switches multiple times in the G500 & G500s, but I blame that more on OMRON switches than the mouse itself. And I've never found an appealing enough non-OMRON product that seems worth switching to. OMRON switches are what cause the double-click problem or the problem where holding click doesn't work. I blame it on either humidity or just needing to re-tension the hook. Usually, it's about 3-5+ years before they need to be re-tensioned, which ends up being kind of a patience/dexterity test to fix the first one every time (30+ tries). But after you get the hang of it, the others can usually be fixed in the few tries. So keep the ones that 'fail' and after you have a few, they're totally worth fixing and cycling through repaired ones until repeating the process.
r/buildapc • what are some good mouses i can look into? ->Agreed. The G502 is still king of the "compromise-between-gaming-and-productivity-features" category for me, mostly due to its mechanically toggled scroll wheel. Besides weight, the only other feature that I consider missing is detachable/replaceable cable for the wired version, especially if they're coming out of the box with these cheap non-braided cables. It would also help if they had better QC to prevent chatter-prone switches, although the one I'm currently using is apparently one of the lucky ones (but my previous G500 and G500S both ran into chatter issues). The only real non-Logitech competition I've seen so far are Razer's Basilisk series (heavier and the scroll wheel toggle is software controlled iirc) and Keychron's MX Master clone (no wired-only option and typical Chinese after-sales support).
r/MouseReview • Gaming mice peaked? ->Still need a Logitech G5 or G500 type Mouse because the other ones are not as big nor comfortable. Also if you have your hand in that position of the claw without a big enough Mouse it'll cause your hand in forearm to cramp really bad and it's terrible
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->My G500 did double click often after 5 years usage. Cant imagine your switches
r/windowsxp • Some older Logitech gaming mice ->I still have a G500. I don't know what I'll do when it dies, I've tried several others (including the G502) and didn't like them as much as the G500. Good luck on your journey!
r/wow • Ideal mouse for playing WoW ->I still have the two on the left in service. Had suffered thru a couple of Logi mice with right click issues and pulled the G500 back in service.
r/LogitechG • Some older Logitech gaming mice ->There were a lot of different gaming mice back then. Razer's Naga line launched back then, as well as various other MMO mice (I remember a friend had a SteelSeries WoW mouse. Although a lot of mice from that era had more than the 5 buttons that are common today. Razer had the Lachesis, Deathadder, Copperhead, and some others which were solid options. Logitech had the G3, G5, G7, G9, G9x, MX518 and I believe the G500 all were popular. Microsoft Sidewinder was a solid mouse. If I remember right the Cyber Snipa was out around that time too. Which was a great mouse for the price at the time. The Saitek Cyborg also may have been out around that time. This is all just me thinking out loud of mice that I owned, friends owned, or I wanted.
r/MouseReview • Good gaming mouse from 2009 era? ->I had the on in the middle. I don't remember what happened to it. I never used the weights it came with.
r/windowsxp • Some older Logitech gaming mice ->I've been on a g500 for 15 years. The day it dies, will probably the day I stop playing WoW. Sooo much muscle memory, it'll be difficult to go to anything else.
r/wow • Best mouse for WoW with side buttons? ->From the G5 to G500 to G502, I've been using the same mouse for 25ish years.
r/pcmasterrace • The 25 most recommended gaming mouse according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jun 2025) ->Wired 100% hands down all the time. But I also don't play on a laptop, I have a big ass desktop that never moves. I don't want to have to deal with batteries dying, remembering to charge it, or input lag. I used the logitech 500 for a long time but I got tired of having to deal with their proprietary bullshit software. Right now I'm using a Red Dragon M908. It's got the 12 MMO buttons on the side, a small button beside the left click that you can bind to whatever you want (I map it to Ctrl so I can crouch etc. easier), and customizable weights in the bottom.
r/GirlGamers • Wireless mouse or wired? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
