I had a Logitech G500 for over 10 years. It started doing accidental double clicks regularly, so I had to open it and just bend the micro switch lever back a bit at about 7 years and 9 years. It didn’t actually die, but I moved to and MX Master 3S. I don’t anticipate it will last quite as long since it has a battery, but I’m willing to change that battery, and we will see.

I've had the MX510, MX518, G500, and G502. The MX series was amazing, but i got addicted to the extra programmable button on the side of the G500. G502 is not as good as it's predecessors.

G502 is my current mouse, but it is a pail comparison to the G500. The G500 was the hands down best gaming I've ever owned (only slightly better than MX518). It had the best feel and arrangement of buttons. The G502 is cheap and mostly plastic. The side buttons are massive and annoying. I've accidentally hit that programmable button on the left side about a thousand times.

G502 pales in comparison to its predecessors. G500 was superior in build quality, functions, button placement, and ergonomics MX518 was the GOAT though

I wish I could. To be fair, I'm a die hard G500 user, but I often swap to the G502 when I need less buttons. The scroll wheel is my least favorite part of the mouse. It's either way too stiff, or way too loose. Uncomfortable to use or so easy to move that I unintentionally scroll all the time.

I prefer the thumb button placement of the OG G500, but the 502 is solid follow up.

love my mx518 re-issue. The G500 was also a great mouse.

G500 have nice design, but buttons are prone to die soon (also replacements). It was when I move to Razer.

I think i use the g500? It's the Logitech MMO mouse. Use the side buttons or don't, but that's a quality large mouse. I still find myself doing a mini claw when I prefer to palm, but as a large handed fella, we take what we can get

Thumb side button for me. I use it as the middle mouse click. It all started when I broke the middle mouse button on my old G500 and had to use the thumb button instead. Even when the replacement arrived, I've never looked back. Had three G502 after and am now using the G502X and still using the thumb button as the middle click. Since then I started working with CAD as well, and it's very convenient since panning/rotating around most softwares is done with middle click.

Same. I often regret not buying multiple of that mouse when it was still in production. Logitech did a re-release/updated MX518 a while back and that was cool, but the G500 was the epitome of that whole MX5xx/G5xx family. I've never spent more than $50 on a mouse, but I'd buy at least one if not multiple new production G500's if Logitech sold them for $100 or less.

My G500 is still going strong - bought it in 2010 or so. It’s been relegated to my work laptop but that’s only because I wanted a wireless mouse for gaming.

g502 is a close second behind its big brother, the g500. Best mouse ever made. I got mine in mid-2010 as a spare in case my (much) more expensive Roccat mouse died for a third time. The Roccat died, I started using the g500 and never looked back. I retired it from gaming duty in 2021 after it started double clicking, but still use daily on my work laptop and the double click issue seems to have solved itself.
