Logitech G602. Logitech has completely failed at producing a comparable mouse since they created the G602. I wanted 6 buttons on the side and spent weeks looking for one in stock in 2024. I found one on clearance at a Staples 15 miles from my house and was over the moon about it. Don't know what I'm going to do when this mouse dies.
G703. You have large hands. Best buy runs sales every week on different mice. This week is the superlight 2 SE. It's the superlight 2 just without the 8k polling rate dongle. Switching to a superlight would probably throw you off. Not sure how often you use the extra buttons on the 502 or switch DPI. I used a G602 for a long time thinking I needed 8 buttons. Now a G pro X. Aim is significantly better and I don't need to have my DPI at 2000 to 360. It takes a couple of weeks to get used to, I use the free steel series mouse trainer.
As a many-years MMORPG player (Lineage2, Mu Online, WoW), cRPG fan and owner of G700 and G602 (and now Roccat Kone XP as g700 replacement) i never understood this love for Razer's Naga (which i had for a brief moment) and its children. Four buttons is max which thumb can use effectively (fast and without any thinking about function or its placement). You add more and you loose the benefits because of poor mnemonics and (later) egonomics (cant reach all of them effectively). Its like typing with pointing finger only - you can be fast and quite effective but never as fast and without looking at keyboard as when you use all fingers. So 4 for thumb, 3 for pointing finger (including LMB), 2 for middle (including RMB) and two small are for grip - thats the most reasonable setup for a mouse. If you want more buttons just use keypads with WASD on a stick -> Razer Tartarus, Hori TAC, so you don't have to use 3 fingers for movement (just 1) and can use them on other functions. I own two PZ31a's since 2007, a year ago i bought Hori TAC PS5 and recently i even created my own such device with RP2040 Zero - 1 joystick + 25 keys + 4 buttons as pedals and its more than enough for most of games (even STALKER GAMMA which is most key-demanding game ive played recently). Its still in prototype phase (some changes have to be made) but it already works perfectly. Way better than trying to cramp all keys on a mouse which is a device not designed for that.
Hey! I’ve got extensive nerve damage throughout my left arm and can’t feel anything really below my shoulder (nerve root avulsion). That said, I still game often, and can play most games, get 2 pedals for your feet (I keep mine bound to w and s for most games). With the limited use of my left hand I rest my hand on a like razer game pad thing and can hit a button with my thumb and pointer finger (usually spacebar and e or f depending on the game). Also, I use a Logitech G602(?) mouse that has the mmo buttons, the modifier on your ring finger and you can push the middle mouse button left and right for more key presses. Once you retrain yourself how to play games the new way it’s almost as good as with 2 fully functioning arms, the growing pains at first are the worst though.
Hard to tell when the size reference is a mouse that I don't own, but I think we have roughly comparable hand size (my pinky-thumb span is 11"(\~28cm)). I have been mostly happy with the G604. I still have to use a slight claw grip with it but it's not bad. I also have a G602 but it always felt a bit off to me.
My Logitech MX500 is 21 years old, 12 of which heavy use and 9 years of occasional use. Still all original from factory. Still works fine. Only switch to a Logitech g602 to go wireless, been using for 10 years of moderate use. Had to replace Omron D2F-T switches 5 years ago and may need to again in the next year or so.
The one you posted is my favorite. My wife and I both used the g602 for years. When it was time to replace it found out I couldn't buy them anymore. So we switched to the g502. We currently own 5 of them, 2 for our laptops and 2 for our desktop rigs and 1 spare in the closet. I'll never use any other mouse.
How is this so far down. I've had 1 g602 for about 16 years. Legend of a mouse.
Close, I've had the same g602 for probably about 15 years This beast of mouse will be hard to replace.
Same. It's the g602 or g604. Sadly I've swapped them out for a G Pro Wireless. Well, I wouldn't say sadly because the G Pro Wireless is fantastic, but the 602 and 604 are still my favorite.
had that g602 for a few years. the only thing i didnt like were the dpi buttons, they were in a terrible spot. i have slender fingers, but id always fat finger m1 and hot them
