The G604 WAS A $40-60 mouse before it was discontinued. The price on that graph is because of AI algorithms and stock scarcity, but I bought 3 because despite it having a shitty stock switch it’s the closest thing I can get to my former GOAT, the g700. The G700 lasted me 8 years before double clicking and had the perfect amount of buttons, positioning, scroll wheel trigger, and ergonomics. Logitech realized they fucked up because it was too good, and meant customers weren’t buying new products every year. The G604 is the spiritual successor to that mouse but designed to only last 2 years tops with shitty button and switch durability.

Anyone recommending Razer products should honestly have their comments removed. If you recommended them 10 years ago, they were great. You are lucky now if your Razer product lasts you a year under *medium* use. I know guys who have the old black widow chromas, they still work. And its practically given a funeral procession when those die because they DONT make them anymore and the new products are nowhere near as good. Everything that came after those, Razer realized their products lasted so long that people didnt buy more stuff. So the quality dropped (likely 100% intentional) so they could make more profit. If you are recommending their OLD hardware that you still posess cool. Their NEW iteration (the stuff that you dont own because you still have their old stuff) is guaranteed to have problems at around the 1 year mark. Its how they are built now. TL;DR It is well known now in the community that new razer products released in the last 5 years, or even the old/greats that they "still make" like the naga have decreased in quality immensely and no longer hold up under any amount of real usage. It has been a MAJOR complaint across reddit for some time. Including issues with their software that are ongoing for YEARS without fix. Also # NOTHING WILL EVER BEAT THE G700S MOUSE AND IM STILL SAD IT GOT DISCONTINUED.

I hate corsair Icue. But, after my logitech G700s crapped out, I bought a corsair nightsword. It still works. Buddies got one recently and they still work.

man, my mouse game may be limited but the mouse that lasted me for a literal decade was a logitech g700s. Hence went with a gpro superlight which is going 3 years strong. And I remember my fair share of cheap A4tech wired/wireless mice that literally die within a year. Maybe your room/country has high humidity? Found that it fouls up mice switches/encoders fast.

Logitech G700. Has like 13 programmable buttons I use for CAD shortcuts.

My G700 crapped out on me but I couldn't replace it due to being  discontinued. Found the G700s, which is essentially the same thing. Now I find out that's been discontinued too? WTF Logitech?

Sucks to hear Logitech went down hill. I have two, mx518, 20+ years old and 15+ of that was daily use. Still works. My current daily driver is a g700s about 8 years old, needs a new rechargable battery, but solid otherwise. Zero issues with either ever. I see the g700s on eBay for hundreds of dollars. Tempts me to sell, but I bet I'd regret it.

YES! I had a G700 and then a G700s (wish they could have left off the stupid tribal/gamer graphics for the S). Anyway, I have all my DIP, polling-rate, etc settings saved to the mouse's internal memory, and now it just works exactly how I want it to, even without software, even when building a new PC and bringing the mouse along, with no initial setup. I use those USB rechargable AA batteries. I just have one on the PC's USB and one in the mouse. Swap them when the mouse dies. That's really the only downside. It really chews through the battery fast when you're using the really high polling rate for gaming. But pulling the battery out of my PC's USB port only takes 5 seconds, even if I do have to do it every 5-7 days.
