My Logitech G9x started doing the SAME thing last week. Also over a decade old.

r/pcmasterrace β’ Daily driver for 12 years and started double clicking randomly, RIP ->G9x and I'll always have a soft spot for its shapes. Not so much the sensor, which was a bit rubbish. Nor the cable. Nor the nasty wheel click.
r/MouseReview β’ What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->Logitech G9x for me too Iβm still using mine since new. I just changed the cable on it otherwise itβs a tank with the original Omron 10M switches, 156 grams, precision grip, skates on or off it all still goes hard.
r/MouseReview β’ Best mouse you have ever used? ->Preach brother. I had my g9x for 10 years without any issues whatsoever. The good boy just gave out one day, still miss it so much. Best mouse ever.
r/MouseReview β’ Best mouse you have ever used? ->Logitech G9x with top shell on. For me, nothing ever comes close.
r/MouseReview β’ Best mouse you have ever used? ->Logitech G9X. I would buy 10 if they made a wireless one now. 3 if still wired
r/MouseReview β’ Best mouse you have ever used? ->G9X, for its time, felt unmatched to me.
r/MouseReview β’ Best mouse you have ever used? ->To answer your question op, I have massive bear mitts too, it really depends on what games/ what youre using it for. An mmo mouse is an easy fix but if you plan on playing any shooters thats clunky. The Logitech g9** line is prettt decent, but both mine started double clicking. Currently using a razer, the til is mostly just find a mouse youre comfortable with and adapt, sadly
r/pcmasterrace β’ Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->That is so weird for us to have such vastly different experiences. I'm on a chaos spectrum g900 since 2016, before that i was using a g700 since 2012, a g9x between 2009 and 2012 and a few junk mouses before that. Not saying that you were rough handling them, i do too. It's like with my saitek hotas, works since more than a decade while many say the same model failed in a few years. Hardware lottery
r/pcmasterrace β’ The 25 most recommended gaming mouse according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jun 2025) ->KPU without a doubt. Logitech G9 is close second
r/MouseReview β’ What's your favorite MOUSE SHAPE of all time? ->Logitech G9, loved that mouse!
r/MouseReview β’ What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->Logitech G9x Have been using it since the G9 came out Have several backups and parts for repairing them if something dies out. Nothing else comes close for me, but mostly because of large hands and claw gripping my whole life
r/pathofexile β’ What mouse do you PC guys use with PoE? ->I just retired my logitech g9x from 2009 and my g900 logitech chaos spectrum g9x is hands down my favorite mouse shape with the precision grip I had razer way back in 2005 on copperhead and the original deathadder both sucked but since then I decided to give razer another shot so I got a viper V3 pro and the sensor is just amazing hands down best mouse I have used as far as accuarcy is concerned and the weight it feels weightless weighs even less than the logitech g9x. My end game mouse now would be the G9x body with this Razer viper V3 Pro sensor.
r/MouseReview β’ Retiring my DeathAdder V3 Pro β what are the best mice with a similar shape in 2025? ->Logitech G9 Laser Mouse.
r/MouseReview β’ What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->G9x, and I still use it.
r/MouseReview β’ What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->There were a lot of different gaming mice back then. Razer's Naga line launched back then, as well as various other MMO mice (I remember a friend had a SteelSeries WoW mouse. Although a lot of mice from that era had more than the 5 buttons that are common today. Razer had the Lachesis, Deathadder, Copperhead, and some others which were solid options. Logitech had the G3, G5, G7, G9, G9x, MX518 and I believe the G500 all were popular. Microsoft Sidewinder was a solid mouse. If I remember right the Cyber Snipa was out around that time too. Which was a great mouse for the price at the time. The Saitek Cyborg also may have been out around that time. This is all just me thinking out loud of mice that I owned, friends owned, or I wanted.
r/MouseReview β’ Good gaming mouse from 2009 era? ->I see a G9X in the picture. Mine is slowly dying after 15 years of use. Do you have any recommendation for a replacement? What I really enjoy about it is the comfortable thumb position, that my pinky is not dragging on the mouse pad and the pronounced hump at the back.
r/MouseReview β’ FKMINI4 REVIEW - Size comparison of Gaming/gamer mice for real Small Hands - EGGSHAPE Clone LMO FKMINI 4 Wireless by Commatech - Pics & Text ->Logitech G9 FTW! Sadly that shape died, no clones made.
r/MouseReview β’ Retiring my DeathAdder V3 Pro β what are the best mice with a similar shape in 2025? ->It was originally a g9x (the very best), but since it's not longer available, g502 Hero
r/pathofexile β’ What mouse do you PC guys use with PoE? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
