PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED

I play with the Logitech G Pro Hero 2. Had the original and finally got its predecessor. It’s ambidextrous. 2 buttons on the side and a middle click is all I need. I use it with alt and shift combos. I couldn’t imagine having 20 buttons on the side of my mouse. Just not for me.

The G903 is fantastic. Especially with the wireless charging dock, I don't have to think about the fact that it's still micro-USB in 2026. I use the extra buttons mapped by default to DPI up/down, so that keeps a leg up over the Pro 2 Wireless, Pro Lightspeed, and others. If mine exploded today I'd immediately get another; there's nothing else that beats this one..

Cheap office mice are leagues better than they used to be, but there's a chance they'll come with input lag that makes the learning experience frustrating (especially the Bluetooth ones). If that's the case I'll second the [Logitech G Pro 2](https://a.co/d/irm6rA4). It's very popular because it's no-frills and is just a straight up good mouse. I used one for a long time before changing to the [G502](https://a.co/d/bcQCmTn) for the extra buttons. Also second the big mousepad. I personally use a [Steelseries QcK Heavy Large](https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads/qck-heavy?color=black&mousepadSize=large). You will have a more forgiving learning experience on low sensitivity (swiping with your forearm instead of just your wrist) with a big mousepad. With a high sensitivity your wrist being a hair off translates to you whiffing by 90° ingame. With a lower sensitivity your whole hand can be a half inch off and you'd still be on target.

Although i currently love my GPro2 wireless, i do genuinely have some nostalgia/miss my old g502 that ended up needing replacement (gamed so hard the left click didnt work anymore)
