for a high end mouse - you can't go wrong with a Logitech PRO X Superlight 2: [https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QzHqqs/logitech-pro-x-superlight-2-wirelesswired-optical-mouse-910-006628](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QzHqqs/logitech-pro-x-superlight-2-wirelesswired-optical-mouse-910-006628) or the cheaper last-gen version: [https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yY4BD3/logitech-g-pro-x-superlight-wireless-optical-mouse-910-005878](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yY4BD3/logitech-g-pro-x-superlight-wireless-optical-mouse-910-005878) for a high end keyboard - i'm going to assume you want hall effect for optimal performance, in which case I'd suggest NuPhy: [https://nuphy.com/collections/he-keyboards](https://nuphy.com/collections/he-keyboards) Or the keychron k2 HE: [https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k2-he-wireless-magnetic-switch-keyboard](https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k2-he-wireless-magnetic-switch-keyboard) Both are head to head with Wooting when it comes to performance but with a better out of the box sound and being cheaper, even with customization. if you want more suggestions I can provide them!
G Pro 2 has removable/switchable buttons. i recently switched to one myself.
Logitech G Pro Wireless Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed Both are ambi and have side buttons on both sides (that you can remove to only have on one side too) The Lightspeed was on sale for $100 last week, so wait for another sale for that one. Vaxee also makes left handed mice these days. XE-S L These are gaming mice though. If you're just using stuff for work, you can definitely go cheaper.
I've been a fan of g502 model for years now, using proteus core, then hero and now I'm on my second lightspeed. I love this mouse, the ergonomics and button placements, however, the quality of the rubber absolutely sucks and after 1.5-2ish years that I've had my most recent one, the part where your thumb rests, has been completely worn out. The back is also peeling off and all the grooves get filled with dead skin all the time even though I clean the mouse once a month, but you just cant clean it fully. So I am looking to upgrade to something similar, weight isn't really a problem as I am not a competitive fps player (I play league the most, when it comes to comp games) but I appreciate the amount of buttons that it has. So what I am looking for, is a wireless mouse with at least 4 extra buttons (with side to side on mouse wheel being appreciated as a bonus), lighter weight or same as g502 and an overall design that makes it easier to clean/keep clean. I would also prefer a simple design when it comes to colors (fully black or fully white), rgb doesn't matter (no rgb would actually be great as I have it turned off on my g502). I also have hands on the bigger side, so those small mice like g203 are incredibly uncomfortable to use for me. Price should be at max 100eur (the same price as g502x plus right now)
i was looking at glorious I 2 and g pro 2 lightspeed, for glorious im kinda sceptical as the brand was always regarded as more of paying for the brand than the product, and the g pro 2 has an awkward position of the extra buttons (at least when looking at the photos)
Logitech G Pro 2 is fantastic and currently £70 on Amazon.
As an ambidextrous person, the "Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed" is also one of the first alternatives that comes to mind, I'd say it's perfect for me since, like you've said, it has two thumb buttons on each side, but it also allows you to "disable" either pair. Although, the fact it's a light mouse is almost irrelevant to me as I dislike mice being that light, I do even place some clay inside in order to make it heavier: my arms and hands are not weak and I don't suffer any disability in order to need a lighter mouse. Lastly, it has a perfect size and perfect symmetrical shape so I can use it with either my left or right hands.
Ok so I ended up buying both and will decide in couple weeks which to return but here are my initial impressions: \- the Pulsar X2A has amazing built quality - I like the overall build and material better than logitech. \- I ended with a deal on the X2A es, so no pulsar software available but XMouse tool can do the side buttons \- On the X2A, I can only assign the buttons on each side separately - they are symmetrical on each side \- the G Pro 2 is the closest thing to my Sensei ten, I am able to assign all side buttons like my Sensei Ten 🥳 \- so far I prefer the wheel on the G Pro 2, the wheel is very solid on the X2A but it is a bit stiffer
Oh man... so this is a lot more complicated than I thought... Still don't have a definitive answer. I am planning on testing them until the amazon return date. Here are few things I noticed so far: \- Clicks on the X2A are more firm than the logitech, you need to change a bit your hand posture a bit to accomodate \- Same goes with the X2A shape, it is very slightly different from what I'm used to. It is subtle, like the position of the buttons and where you need to have your fingers to click. \- Wheel on the X2A is also more firm but feels more precise - originally it did bother me, but I slowly adjusting to it \- The G Pro 2 feels "transparent", it is very much the shape and everything I'm used to \- Skates on the X2A are significantly better, it's effortless to move it around and glorious in high DPI Overall, I am unsure yet which one is better or not. I bought both of these mouses as "Used" on amazon, the deals were so good, I am potentially keeping both. The logitech had definitely a little bit of use but both are so good quality, I wouldn't hesitate to buy these second hand. Even the shell quality is excellent, can be actually cleaned. The X2A plastic, is premium, there are no marks of any sorts.
The G Pro Wireless has the same shape as the Superlight but has 2 extra side buttons for left handed users. So if you don’t need those side buttons you can look into Superlight clones. Incott G23 V2, ATK A9 Pro/Ultra, and MChose A7 are all good choices. Now if you need side buttons on both sides, there are barely any mouse on the market with that. G Pro 2 Lightspeed is the revamped G Pro Wireless so it has those buttons. There’s also the Pulsar X2A, but that’s a very different shape.
