Dude, Logitech is charging $180 a product that is **literally the same mouse from 2018** with new switches. Not even gonna mention their terrible QC. But if a random chinese company can produce a better mouse than you, being a multimillionare company, and also charging it X4 less... It's not the consumers fault little bro. Also... >*Logitech’s primary manufacturing hub is located in* ***Suzhou, China*** Logitech's factories are ALSO in China. So it doesn't make any sense they overprice their products so much with the ''but they can't compete with china'' argument.
Yep. I said that in a post and I ate like -80 downvotes lol. A lot of people saying ''40grams and 60 is almost the same!'' It's 100% not lol. This mouse is 60 grams because Logitech is lazy and they don't want to develop a better model, just reuse old parts. Not because 60 grams is better than 50 or 40. The Viper V3 is already 53 grams. The Deathadder V4 Pro (being a big ass mouse) is 56 grams. It will be funny if the Viper V4 also have haptic switches and weights under 50 grams. Even funnier if Lamzu develops a haptic Maya at 45 grams with better skates and software while being cheaper.
>but the reason that there is a premium is because of the cost of R&D to develop this tech Yeaaah, except not. Superlight 2 MSRP was $159 Superlight 2C is also $159. No R&D there, it's literally the same GPX but with optical switches. That is crazy expensive when mouses like the Lamzu Maya X is far better and more complete for $119. >Also because they can provide a lot better warranty than chinese companies can. And yeah, they do because their products QA really sucks. I had 3 Superlights and 3 failed. Double clicking in one, dead battery on another (at 1 year), and weird clicking problem with another (clicks inverted for some reason). And it's not weird, it's actually quite common people have like 3 or 4 Superlights because they had to RMA more than 1. To have a functional Superlight I had to buy new switches, solder them, a new battery, and change parts between the 3 of them, also skates and grips since the stock ones suck. >chinese companies can simply ignore any warranty requests. And that is not true. Maybe a generic random mouse, but not one from a regular company. Even attack shark did RMA'd all the mouses when they had problems with the firmware. Logitech doesn't offer warranty because they're cool guys, they literally have to do it by law lol.
**TLDR:** X2 Superlight is a Superlight with great click feels and responsiveness. It has the fastest click in the market (results are user dependent in real use case). It could get you kicked in some games. $180 and shouldn’t pay above that. Majority of 2023, The G Pro Superlight has been my main. After that its been mouse discovery channel until today. **Current game i'm playing:** CS2, Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, The Finals, PUBG, BF6. **Handsize and Grip:** 18.5 x 10 cm. Variety of Claw but most of the time relaxed claw. Fingertip from time to time only in specific games or scenarios. **Mice before testing X2 Superstrike:** Razer Viper V3 Pro on Glass Pad with Silver fox dots (Main) & Hitscan Hyperlight or OP1 8K from time to time. I did use the A9 Ultra 1 week prior to receiving the Superstrike just so I could get used to the shape again quicker. *Full vid review coming soon.* # Shape, Weight, Skates & QC * **Weight:** 61 grams. * **Weight balance:** Front heavy. Even compared to my Superlight with a weight difference of only 1 gram, my old Superlight feels lighter because of better weight balance. * **Side buttons:** Mushy sides with at least 1.5 mm of pre-travel on my unit. * **QC:** Did the squeeze test to see if the mouse would trigger, plus M1/M2 wobble testing. Nothing here—I was a QC lottery winner. * **Coating:** Matte coating same as the Superlight. Wears down after a week (if you zoom in on M1 in the photo). * **Shape:** G PRO SUPERLIGHT. Damn Egg. Very safe but it is designed for the masses. I don’t hate it but there are many options in the market you could go with instead, like the Viper V3 Pro, ULX Large (QC lottery), or more niche specific mice like the XM2. * **Skates:** Good on a glass pad but quite loud (comparing to aftermarket skates like Silver Fox or Obsidian Air). Muddy on cloth pads—the only exception would be the Artisan Raiden. Recommend changing out the skates for a better and more consistent experience. # Superstrike Experience & Click Feel **Up to 30 ms** saved according to Logitech with their isolated testing. I saved like 10-12ms (Compared to most of my optical switch mices). **Do I see or feel it in game?** No. Feels like Superlight with different click feel. I peek the same and shoot the same (in CS2 and Valorant). **BUT** The click feel and responsiveness are excellent— it's the only feat that carries this mouse. I personally really like the click feel and haptic feedback. If anything, I think this “faster click speed” mostly comes from the haptic feedback with combination of lowering the actuation point. You may get diminishing return when your actuation are set to 6 or above. To describe the feel on my settings: it felt like a cushioned mini-burst of vibration from the trigger as feedback, not a well-defined sharp punch. **Like a Mac trackpad.** * **Settings:** Actuation: 2 | Rapid Trigger: 1 | Haptic: 1 * There will be some mis-clicks if you use Actuation at 1. Even when I’m calm, moving around the maps and swiping my mouse will trigger it. * I do not recommend turning off haptics. I tried for a few hours before bed and went to bed confused. **Rapid Trigger:** It's still up to the games if they are going to update with detection for this. I wouldn’t risk it personally though since you can get kicked or banned. **Disclaimer:** I’ve seen many posts regarding getting kicked from Valorant and CS2 from using this mouse. I've been using it for over 7 days with G Hub installed and standard Windows 11 Pro with no issues. # Game Feel Across Different Genres * **In tac shooters (CS2, Valorant and R6):** I see the argument for why faster clicks could help theoretically, but in practice I noticed nothing. If anything, the front-heavy balance was more of a hindrance early on than the clicks were a help. The new tech does make sure if you miss a shot, you’re reminded of your fumble faster—no more excuses lol. * **In tracking heavy games (The Finals, Apex, BF6, Overwatch and Marvel Rivals):** It basically just feels like a Superlight with nicer clicks. I would rather trade it for a shape and weight that are more tailored to my likings. I much prefer smaller mice in games like Overwatch, whereas larger mice in tac shooters. # Should you buy it? Please don’t buy from eBay paying anything above $180 just wait, it's hype but it's mass product everyone will get their hand on it. If you have the Superlight and it’s very worn down and you swear by the shape, then this would be an upgrade for you. Paying $180 for the "cutting up to 30 ms" (results will vary among real use) and a new clicking feel unlike anything in the market is debatable. With the state of the market, I’d say wait 3-4 months because I’m sure there are a few factories already disassembling it and taking notes. But if you've got DDR5 laying around, then just ball out. # Closing Thoughts This will sway every manufacturer to create their own implementation instead of chasing minor sensor upgrades and weight, which is a big plus—actual innovation. I'm surprised that Logitech is the first one who actually does it this time instead of Razer or Pulsar. Yes, all the pros will eventually put it in their hand due to sponsorship. Expect many manufacturers to implement this into their line-up and upcharge you for it. From a $60 China lightweight mouse, it’s going to become $100 and there will be issues. I can guarantee that because being a first adopter sucks. I would rather trade any tech that has a big claim to actually spend some time aim training to improve your aim and game sense. There are no gear substitutes for bad mechanics. Not sponsored, Paid $180 out of my own and yes i do exclusively like the clicks and ok with the shape. Feel free to comment if there's any question, will try my best to answer them *Thank you for reading.*
I believe the reason why snap tap was kick is because of the script detection but yes rapid trigger is technically a click. I would assume if valve going to patch it, it will be based on too much input coming from the mouse that are crossed the threshold of their internal limits. Valve are pretty generous because they will only kick but not ban you for using it Will have to revisit this after a while since it’s relatively new but would say unlikely since some pro has been using X2 in tournaments as well before retails
Currently using wallhack SP005 with Silver fox dots, worth it if it's one and done imo. Coming from Artisan Zero to SP005 definitely took me a good week or two to get use to. The benefit is definitely there for glass pad in tracking games. Shakiness aim can be fixed, band-aid fix will be lower X or Y axis on your dpi, long term fix is aim training 15 minutes a day but will need to identify the source of your shakiness first then isolate training (sounds kinda nerdy but def helped me a lot with just 15 mins every other day). Glass pad amplifies any flaws you have but as a trade off for extreme consistent guides. Hope this helps!
In short. It feels ‘nose’ heavy. The clicks are a little weird but also familiar. We had haptic feedback for a longtime. Rapid trigger and able to customize the clicks is awesome. Ive already made some shots that i know for sure i would have lost with my original pro x because of the physical clicks. So like any new tech sure we can say might not be worth it now. But i already seen the difference in my roughly 12 hrs of use. My pro x will be my backup for now. Ill go Back and test it again after a while to see if placebo or not
True. But i play twitchy fast movement and th clicks did make a difference. Sometimes the game engine doesn’t keep up with the fast clicks. I play cod ranked btw and pubs for warmup
This is just disingenuous. People like the innovation, they hate the price. Logitech cannot justify the $180 price tag when all of the same QC issues still exist from prior iterations of the GPX. The switches, or lack there of, isn’t even new technology it’s just the first time it’s been implemented in a mouse. Of course people are gonna wait until cheaper alternatives are available.
No one thinks innovation happens overnight but the effect this will actually have on individual performance is negligible compared to current switch tech. This really only benefits tac shooters or mobas. I’ve bought multiple Chinese clones with zero QC issues. I had to replace my GPX three separate times for different issues. I’ve straight up stopped buying from Logitech as a result. Why buy a G703 when I can get a Teevolution Terra for cheaper and it’s better in every way? Why didn’t I bring it to market first? What an odd thing to say. I’m allowed to criticize a company for being unoriginal. This technology has been around for years and has already been implemented into affordable keyboards and controllers. This could’ve been done earlier with Logitechs insane budget. But no, we’ve gotten a “new” GPX variant for the last 4-5 years. Only new shape is the Dex and it’s not even an improvement over classics like the 502 or 703. It also suffers from similar QC issues that the standard GPX has. Zowie, Vaxee, and Pulsar have all had more meaningful additions added to their product line in the last 4 years. Honestly comparing Logitech to Gucci makes a lot of sense considering they follow the same business model. They use low quality materials, mass produced outside of their respective countries to cut costs, and persist purely off of brand recognition rather than actually making anything new. We’re gonna see clones of this tech within 3 months and it’s going to ultimately be more affordable because the reality is this technology doesn’t actually cost much to manufacture. This is a multi-billion dollar company that would easily profit off a sale price of $89.99 or lower. They chose to sell it this high because they’re “the first to offer it” not because it’s actually worth $180. Same as the cost of a GPX actually being like $20-$30 (accounting for everyone involved in development) to make and Chinese companies only upselling by an additional $20-$30 as opposed to an additional $130+.
i got it and returned it, i just wasnt impressed with the quality for the price, and the stock skates are shit
I mean, should they be better for the price and amount of effort put into the product development? Definitely. Do I even think about how my side buttons feel or have I ever had any issues with accidental or missed clicks with my Logitech mice side buttons? Nope. Proper trash is how bad old m3 clicks used to just stop working reliably after less than a year or double clicking m1/2, this is just not particularly great.
If you can get to that level, the hardware is 100% competitively viable, to be fair.
Their products are fine. Logitech isn't making bad products with the GPX line. I think a lot of people have realized you can get 99% of the performance/quality, for 1/3 of the price. You want the best? Buy a GPX2 for $150. Want a GPX2 clone that essentially has all the specs and features for $50? Buy a Mchose A7 Pro or Ultra. \*Also [Boardzy kind of sums it up here with the VXE R1 Pro. ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5xOTbFwbUs&t=470s)Even though this is a different mouse, different shape, this kind of quality and price difference that he's talking about has become more commonplace. Paraphrased: "Why spend $100 on this mouse, when they're offering this one for $50, and it performs at the same level when I'm in game?"
I main Viper V3 Pro and DA V3 Hyperspeed. I've been using Hyperstrike for about a day and the two Razer mices now feel mushy. No words or video can describe what using the mouse is like. It not only affects gaming but everything in general. I initially have my setting at the lowest and the context menu keep popping up in Chrome because the right mouse button was so sensitive. When I highlight a text I had to use more pressure on the left button because it's so light. It's too bad the price is a barrier for a lot of people because I do feel this is really a game changer just like Wooting did for keyboards.
