I am looking to replace my old Naga wired mouse after several years, and I wondered how wireless versions of MMO mice do these days, and if anyone had any recommendations. I am not the hardcore FPS gamer, but I do play some hours of casual PUBG with my friends every week, as well as MMOs, so I really need the 12 buttons on the side type. Been out of the loop the last few years, so any feedback is appreciated. Tdlr; What's your recommendation for a 12 side button wireless mouse.
I had the old version, but as far I can see by a quick look it doesn't have the 12 button grid.
I have M.M.O. 7+ great for me, my hand about 20 CM
Get M.M.O. 7+ it's known for MMO players for over a decade
I got 10 buttons work on macOS with M.M.O. 7+ I think it will work with you on linux
if you're looking for something comfortable for long sessions, maybe try ergonomic gear like MMO7 from Mad Catz. It's totally adjustable if it comes to size so it will fit your hand & grip for sure
please please please don't play on gear that doesn't fit your hand! Sooner or later it can cause pain or cramping. If you're looking for a mouse that can be adjusted to fit you, Mad Catz has some new options like the MMO 7 or RAT 8+ which I'm currently using for cs2. Both adjustable and customizable
YAAAAS! DWS 113g or MMO 7+140g. Both worth recommeding and both ergonomic
They're discontinued, but the Mad Catz M.M.O. 7 mouse is adjustable and gets pretty big at its largest. It also has a pinky rest that might give you some extra room to keep fingers off your mousepad area. They're on eBay for $100-200, so kinda pricey.
I've been using the OG version of this mouse for over 10 years. I am not some fishy shill account from a certain brand that only reads from a heartless template and sells you some fake illusion. The mouse is fine in general. Most of the button layouts are great, and button remapping options are open. But that’s only if you don’t mind the heavy weight (140g), mispressing certain keys (bad design, nothing you can do about it), and the price ($1 per gram). The lossen shift button is also hard to hold down. (I just don't like the pure black color btw...) The number one problem with it (for me at least) is the thumb wheel. It will malfunction within six months to a year at best (or sooner). You may need to deal with the RMA process and shipping back and forth. Unless you’re a pro , you have little to no chance of repairing that part yourself since it doesn't use a generic mouse encoder. If you are playing games at a slow pace or on the casual side, this mouse is alright. Otherwise, unless your hand grew differently or you're a power user who can create solutions for its design problems; the weight of this thing, the malfunctional thumb wheel that's always ready to make you mad as hell, and the constant mispressing for certain keys will just drag you down.
