Unfortunately, brands only make good shit when they're new/growing. So for a new G402, look for a brand that is still trying to build brand-loyalty and grow a wide gamer-stan audience. Dareu will do you right. The web-software compatible ASUS mice are actually goated and exactly what you're looking for (though they've yet to release a new browser-software Chakram, only 2 button mice). Glorious is perpetually stuck in decent-quality limbo due to their extremely flaky fanbase (which is a score cause it keeps Glorious mostly on the straight and narrow). Keychron is experiencing growing pains, the M6 is trash due to a hardware glitch in the sensor, but the M7 and M5 are actually great. And of course, Mad Catz will always make the single-most over-built indestructible mice on the planet (and then go bankrupt for the 7 billionth time, have another worker union go on strike and overthrow the CEO during a revolution, go bankrupt again, then come back from the dead right when you least expect it). My original R.A.T. 3 is still my travel mouse, it's been with me for over half my life (and is older than the G402) and still works as it did brand-new (earlier this year the rubberized coating did finally goober, but after going at it with the 50 grit it's good as new again). That thing survived getting thrown full force against a brick wall and a concrete floor during my 12yo gamer-rage era, has moved 16 times, survived 8 years of getting crammed into a backpack that was yeeted around during commutes (was usually in the bottom of the backpack getting crushed by textbooks) and never used on a mouse-pad (only wood tables, glass tables, really worn cutting-mats, marble and masonry counters too). That shit don't break like genuinely I thought people were joking about bad switches, glitchy sensors, and back-scrolling scroll-wheels until I got a Razer mouse and it broke in 4 months (with very delicate use cause I actually really cared about the Razer mouse cause it was expensive). The only other brand that rivals the absolute-unit built quality of my first ever gaming mouse, is Pulsar. Unfortunately Pulsar only makes 2 button mice, but their software and build quality are absolutely top-dollar. Just wish they made an MMO mouse, fortunately Mad Catz has released a revised MMO7+ so when I have the cash that's my new MMO mouse that'll last me the rest of my life probably. I mean the Rat 3 is still going strong and the MMO7+ has metal-reinforcements throughout it's shell for enhanced durability so I seriously doubt that mouse will break anytime soon as I no longer yeet mice into brick walls full-force (though somehow the MMO7+ is the second lightest wireless MMO mouse out there, second to the Aerox 9 which has such a terrible shape it genuinely feels twice as heavy than it actually is, plus I accidentally dipped my Aerox 9 in acid and it's slowly turning into a sponge. Of course if you're happy with a 2 button mouse, the Kysona Uranus Pro is absolutely GOATED that thing is built like a tank, I haven't yeeted it but I'd have 100% confidence the Uranus Pro would survive a year of the brick wall treatment no questions.
Yup, the RAT MMO7+ is the same concept but with a completely different layout. However I have recently been made aware of the Azeron Cryo and the Ercham, so it would appear some people were inspired by the extra main-buttons + analog axis and have since made new evolutions upon the idea.
Try gaming mouse like M.M.O. 7+ It's large, and you can adjust it more to be fit to your hand
MAD CATZ has [many cool mice](https://madcatz.store/collections/mouse), not just R.A.T. I tried R.A.T. 8+ and M.M.O. 7+ both are great, but there's more options in their store.
From the picture of your hand next to the mouse it’s a bit hard to judge exactly, but I think you might really like the Mad Catz M.M.O. 7+. It’s super adjustable, so you can tune the shape to fit your hand and playstyle. I mainly use it for gaming (FPS and MMO) Definitely worth checking out if you want something you can really dial in to your preference.
I have M.M.O. 7+ it's exactly what I thought about when all these numbers in other mice side buttons, but in M.M.O.7+ it's easy to have side buttons that easily to remember assign and using it.
A lightweight mouse is not more important than being comfortable. I have many mice and tried the M.M.O. 7+. The build quality made me not think about how much it weighs. It is very comfortable.
you could look at the Mad Catz R.A.T. 8+. The nice thing about it is that you can adjust parts of the mouse, so you can make it fit your hand and grip style better instead of worrying about the shape. The palm rest is adjustable so you can move it back and keep your palm off the mouse, which works well for fingertip grip. Another option is the Mad Catz M.M.O. 7+ since it also has adjustable parts and can be comfortable for longer sessions, but the R.A.T. shape might be closer to what you're describing.
Madcatz MMO 7 Wireless just released after about a decade of the wired version being discontinued. It is an awesome product, I own both versions. Swiftpoint Z2 is such a quality product with the most unique set of features ever, the Z3 has a sign up list for first batch access currently, it looks to be wireless by the image on the web page. Definitely sign up. G903 is such an overlooked product and I don’t get it, I love it way more than my G502 X personally. These are the best mice with awesome unique features I have found. The Superstrike X2 is the next mouse releasing with specific features available.
If you feel like trying something different (with a high degree of customization for different grip styles), I strongly suggest taking a look [at the new version of the M.M.O. 7+](https://madcatz.store/products/mad-catz-m-m-o-7-wireless-gaming-mouse?sca_ref=9597905.LOEOaN43ILU3) : with its horizontal wheel, 5D button, around 21 customizable programmable buttons, and adaptable shape, it should be very helpful in your case.
MMO 7+ dropping in a week or so!
no pinkie rest included, but the old mmo7 wing still fits on this one, they can be removed and replaced. Working on getting a sold separately version, also, RAT 8+ L -shaped wing can work, if you file down the area for the shift button,.
MMO 7+ IF you know, you know. :)
if u wanna dominate at work, lots of productivity - consider the rat 8 + or dws for 22 buttons, + shift mode try the mmo 7+ DM me if you need more details or a code or something. Also, 8+ hrs a day u might benefit from actually adjustable mice - save those hands and wrists from repetitive strain!
Hey! for the office you want productivity and comfort, both are achieved with MMO 7+ or RAT DWS. Both have swappable and adjustable parts which will make finding a more comfortable position much easier for you, and having the ability to adjust it later (after you buy a mouse- rather than guessing before you buy) is a huge advantage. For 14 buttons and BT, go RAT DWS, for 21 x 2 =42 programmable inputs and an innovative 5D button go for the MMO 7+ just out this year. [https://madcatz.store/products/mad-catz-r-a-t-dws](https://madcatz.store/products/mad-catz-r-a-t-dws) [https://madcatz.store/products/mad-catz-m-m-o-7-wireless-gaming-mouse](https://madcatz.store/products/mad-catz-m-m-o-7-wireless-gaming-mouse) Personally, I like MMO 7+ because it's a bit newer and has more buttons, but if u need Bluetooth, AND 2.4 GHz DWS is good! GLHF!
our MMO 7+ mouse can adjust to all hand sizes! Thumb rest and also the palm rest move so you can get a perfect grip - 22 buttons helps too, + shift mode = 42 programmable inputs = domination in any game !
Grab the go-to for big hands: Mad Catz. RAT 8+ or MMO 7+ can actually adjust .. no need to fear ordering the wrong size , or it being uncomfortable, adjust it after you get it ! swappable parts, and true ergonomics!
RAT 8+, MMO 7+ , DWS - all adjustable and have swappable parts, best for large hands and people who want a better fit!
RAT 8+ or MMO 7+ will do the trick. Get something that can actually adjust to your unique size of hand.
Yo! u/Kindly_Can_3772 Thanks for your question. We just launched the presale, and sold out in less than 48 hrs. Another batch will arrive in January, stay in touch with me here and/or u can hop on the wait list here: [https://forms.gle/G9mVM1owLmLFeoRy6](https://forms.gle/G9mVM1owLmLFeoRy6)
Also: We got the MMO 7+ before GTA VI ;)
Consider the MMO 7+ or RAT DWS if you want button power, I played Apex for 5000 + hours (Valk Main) and having extra buttons > lighter in my opinion. I was destroying with that 5D button. Anyway, up to u. Especially Apex, more abilities more quickly can make the difference between victory and a rage quit :)
what u need is a mouse with a 5D button like the MMO 7+ No need to look down and guess what buttons you're pressing, or pressing by mistake. Minimalistic software , set once, and forget,.. hit me up if you need more advice.
There is no better recommendation for your unique situation than the RAT 8+ or MMO 7+ they come with adjustable parts, and also spare / swappable parts so you can make them wider (adjustable thumb rest and also attach a pinkie rest - RAT 8+ ) sounds like they were made for you! DM me if you need more info or check our website madcatz dot com
Come to the Mad Catz FAM, we're only about comfort, adjustable, ergonomics. No need to buy and regret with 'one size only mice' , but and adjust if you get DWS or MMO 7+ - I'll find some coupons from black Friday - let's talk if you want., DM me if u want. (ps. my day off here, but saw those massive hands and want to help u get something comfortable... no more pinkie and ring finger dragging on the pad) GLHF!
It's always interesting to see the mice all look the same and only have 2 side buttons, I would have thought the pro's would look for a lot more buttons. I need my Turtle Beach Kone XP Air and MadCatz M.M.O 7+ buttons for my games, love the buttons.
To all the shit talkers and enthusiasts alike... Let's be honest... the stuff thats important to almost all manufacturers isnt the same as whats important to gamers. And those arguing about how this mouse is ugly, that mouse is to heavy, it looks bad because its puke color or weird shape... let me break it down for you... Weight- When arguing weight of a mouse, by most accounts, its negligible. The weight difference between most mice is so small most people dont pay much, if any, attention to it. And the only major issues in weight change is from very heavy to very light and visa versa, which are polar extremes, but generally only change things in something like an FPS game, but only minorly. Shape/Styling- In terms of a mouse, id say most people have preferences, but most mice work for most people, so again, its mostly negligible. And on the bright side Mad Catz has made most if not all of their mice customizable to fit most palm styles and sizes, which makes it even less of an issue. Esthetics- Goes hand in hand with shape and styling, but again, everybody has preferences and desires on styling, colors and design, but it isnt the most important thing in the world. If you are crafty enough you could even color your own mouse to your liking. Quality- This is something everybody wants. It's very important. Something that is going to last with general daily use for many years. Number of buttons/layout- My personal belief, this is one of the most important pieces on what makes a mouse GREAT; The button layout. Unfortunately, almost no current mouse companies seems to agree with me. Mad Catz seems to be the closest to my personal design I have in my head. I think many people want different things but I say the more buttons you have, that are ergonomically aligned, allowing every finger to control 1 to 4 buttons and even more for the thumb, while also allow you to grip the mouse with pinky, thumb and palm is a sweet spot. And to reiterate on the mouse buttons, its better to have and not need, than need and not have. Utility and functionality reigns king in my opinion. And until recently, I have never thought about a hypershift function on a mouse, but I have found a few that have it, and in terms of MMO gaming, I now feel that it is a must have, not that you have to use it, but as stated, better to have and not need. Software- I think its safe to say this can make or break a perfect mouse button layout. Features built into the software is paramount. People want utility and customization. Again, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I want to see the software for all mice become the gold standard and main selling point. Because garbage software makes a garbage mouse no matter the button layout. Every bell and whistle ever created for mice should be implemented into all software. So in essence what is most important is button layout, software, as well as quality. The rest is whatever. And this is what I am hoping for from the Mad Catz MMO 7+ that I have ordered.
You might want to check out the Mad Catz MMO7+. I know it’s technically an MMO mouse, but it doesn’t have the typical 12-button grid. The thumb buttons are spread out, so you can easily just use 4–6 of them like normal side buttons. It’s also adjustable (palm/thumb rest), so you can tune it pretty well for your grip. Might actually fit what you’re looking for even if you’re not playing MMOs.
