Mad Catz - R.A.T. 8+ ADV

You won't find anything in the 'one size fits all' variety. They are made to be easy and cheap to manufacture, not for your benefit. I had serious issues before, then I joined my current company.. over 5K hours in Apex, no problems at all. RAT 8+ ADV is what I use. You can adjust palm, pinkie, thumb rest, has extra attachments, it's like 1000 mice in one. Yes, I work for them, but trying to do a homie a favor - they work!

For me, 100%. Full story... I was playing a FPS called battlefield like 5-8 hrs every day for weeks at one point... using one of those 'one size fits all' cheapo mice. I was in my mid 20s , perfect health, etc. even going to the gym. Slowly I noticed a 'pins and needles' type of feeling in my right hand... I thought maybe I was just experiencing perhaps numbness from blood flow or something, but it got worse and worse.. eventually it got so bad I couldn't even play and had to stop using the PC completely and just do other things with my time. Flash forward to my first day at Mad Catz , they showed me a line up of funky and transforming mice! I was skeptical at first, but I anyway selected the coolest (and highest spec) one for daily office use.. I then had to do a lot of gaming again as part of my job and accumulated over 5K hours in Apex and other games, I realized ... not once did I have that pain or numbness come back. For me the issues was probably the smallness of those 'one size fits all mice' and my above average hand size meant that the wrist and fingers were not in a comfortable position. Anyway, now that I work at this company, I can tell you 5000% those one size fits all mice are infinitely EASIER to make and wayyy cheaper too. Like massively cheaper. I realized that the trend for smaller and lighter, (less buttons, no ergonomics besides the word printed on the box) it was one of the most clever marketing tricks ever. And people are now realizing.. "hey this is not helping me play better, and actually hurting my hand" All I can tell you is.. I have other things to do.. but I come here and mention this to my gaming buddies, just because I remember the annoyance of finding out the hard way. I was never even told to do this, I do it out of compassion and love for these mice. Yes I work for the company, but this is my honest view. I hope you can get some relief! Happy gaming brother! Hey bro, I am normally on here trying to recommend the RAT 8+ to people with large or wide hands. Not my job per se, but I like to help out the community. I think your hands might be not suited to any of the typical 'one size fits all' mice that are available on the market. What you might consider is checking out the RAT 8+ ADV or 8+ because of the feature of a swappable / replaceable palm rest. It basically can be slid all the way back to provide more comfortable palm positioning for your hand. IF that's not sufficient, at least you could have the option of modifying that piece with the help of a 3d printing hobbyist and making it even longer / higher.. then re attaching the palm rest to the mouse - might be perfect. RAT DWS is dope, and RAT 8+ ADV is what I use. Get something that actually can fit your hand with adjustable parts and swappable pieces.

RAT 8+ is adjustable (thumb and palm rest) and has swappable parts (pinkie rests, palm rests) ... very likely to get a better feel and fit than any of the 'one size fits all' mice that were not made for above average individuals like yourself :) hit me up if you need more help. GLHF!

BAT 6+ is symmetrical and has attachments included to adjust to your desired grip. If you want something amazingly customizable, go for the RAT 8+ ADV 8+ but it's not symmetrical. 1000 mice in one!

Rat 8+ advance is the most comfortable mouse I’ve had. Good luck finding one, and know they’re expensive and not durable. - a giant handed dude who’s stuck buying new old stock every 2 years

The R.A.T baby, I also have larger hands and it’s one of the most modular and most reliable mice i’ve ever used. I got a newer one two years ago or so but my last rat8 is still in use by another gamer and is probably 6yo by now and going strong

went through 5x rat 7 i need that corpus but the innards are trash. the thing that powers the lazer sucks bawls rat8 chinese reboot of british rats worked for 1 day and then lazer started to turn off at random intervals. so you draw circles and they miss random pieces swiftpoint as a micro company their software is terrible and dangerous to pc unless you how to fix it through bios. and it has drivers on the server that is down because they are tiny elecom is barbie size. like baby girl sized. bought it online, on a picture it looked normal proportions. about 15 logitechs all start to double click then tripple click roccat arrived dead and was an arse to return and refund. chose because they keyboard served me for 5+ years until it started to die recently steel series worked for like 1,5-2 years and started to multiclick like logitechs. costed a ton of money. like a month or two worth of food. ~5-8 a4tech their finish peels hard. they are just shoddy but some can survive for several years. some can die faster with multiclicks or dying buttons. lottery. 5x garisons i love the GM-740G corpus despite it being a joke. if they didn't create it but stole it i wish i had the original. but it's made of garbage plastic. the MMB just breaks. some even arrive broken. defender is already a rattly one but uses the same buttons as everyone, so after some time starts to multiclick genius cheap mice so it's random when they break and how. razer got deathadder and after like 2-2,5 weeks mmb stopped working right now after these amazing adventures i gave up and bought razer naga trinity which costed a half of my monthly salary. about one year and all the paint peeled from the buttons ahhahahahah. and two cheap acers even if one breaks i have the second one. so far they are alive but i barely use them only one of them i connect to my phone together with keyboard. + wireless (xiao?)mi that i got as a gift with a laptop. so far works i wish i could try super fat logitech (and see its buttons fail like always) and corsair m65 but you can't buy those two for years

You mean the "RAT" Series. Im still rocking these today! Got my first RAT 7 at 2011. Now, since 3 years i use "RAT 8" and i never want any other mice. Fits like a glove for me since 13 years. tried mutiple others like Razer Basilisk, Corsair Darkstar (for ridiculous 170€ lol) Corsair M65 and a G502. I wasnt happy with any of them. RAT on top. <3

After I discovered the R.A.T in 2016, I've never went back. Currently using the 8+

An Ironclaw is probably your best bet, but the finish tends to wear excessively fast and some issues with scroll wheels have been reported. I'm in a similar boat. I have a g502 Lightspeed, and while I am fine with the thumb button placements, I find my pinky and ring finger feel too cramped. The only mice I've ever used that felt spacious enough were the R.A.T. series. The R.A.T. 3 was the first (and best) of the series I owned. Bought it well over 20 years ago. My brother uses it on his rig this very day. I eventually got a R.A.T. 9, but the sensor was awful, frequent disconnects, etc. A few years later they were bought up and the new series released (even numbers instead of odd). I got a R.A.T 6 and a R.A.T. 8. They were both awful and suffered from the side buttons failing after 3-6 months. Ergonomically, they were great, but their QC sucked ass and killed the company. There are also vertical mice, or perhaps an Elecom trackball mouse. Those are fucking huge. Elecom is sort of iffy. Really everything is.

I went from 8+ to the wireless 9 and then back to 8+ 8+ is in the sweet spot Edit: this post inspired me to get another 8+ just in case something happens to the one I have now; because as we’ve already seen, you never know when a mouse will just suddenly stop being made.

Was looking for R.A.T.! My preferred mouse. I haven't had one for a while, the RAT 3 was my first one and that lasted a long time, when that finally died, I got a 7 which did not last long and the 8 lasted a bit longer and still functions but a side button broke. The MadCatz RAT series. Beware it makes it hard to switch back to any other mouse. I’ve used them for 12ish years and I can’t switch. I’ve tried multiple times, but I always go back. People apparently don’t like them, but I love them. Over 12 years I’ve only had to buy 4.

I love these mice, been using them for the past 10 or 15 years, had to replace them a few times due to the wheel/center click giving out, but never going back.

Try the Mad Katz RAT series. It is the only mouse that fits comfortably in my hand.

Man did I love the rat. The extra buttons on the mouse buttons were a game changer for me. Now I just reprogram the dpi buttons on my logitech mouse to do the same things. Not the same tho.

Jokes on you. But the R.A T. Is a mouse with many options to adapt to the Hand.

Try an Ironclaw. Kone or look for a good R.A.T. you habe many options with those to Adapter them for you Hand.

You could try a Mad Catz R.A.T. Their weight and length are adjustable. I really like them for my big hands.
