Still the R.A.T.9 except it had a rubbish sensor. Sad mad catz bought them and trashed the product line even worse. I'm back to surviving on logitech rubbish now, but at least the sensors are good. the g604 is actually a really great mouse. but they cancelled it. it had all the good shit including hero25k, wired, wireless and bluetooth, and for only 60eur at one point.
I'm going to be a weird one ... The Mad Catz Cyborg Rat 9. It was and still is the single most comfortable mouse I've ever used. It's too bad that both I've owned started double clicking on single mouse clicks or I'd still be using it.
For me it was the Mad Catz RAT 9 and then followed by the G502. The Mad Catz was basically the same button layout as the G502 but it had the added advantage of being able to adjust its length and side profile allowing you to custom it to your hand better, also had a removable battery and charger so never needed to have it plugged in as you just swapped out the battery to charge it. Best feature of these mice is the scroll wheel having clickable buttons if it leans left to right, I set this to tab forward and backward on webpages and basically turns your scroll wheel to up down and side to side.
An Ironclaw is probably your best bet, but the finish tends to wear excessively fast and some issues with scroll wheels have been reported. I'm in a similar boat. I have a g502 Lightspeed, and while I am fine with the thumb button placements, I find my pinky and ring finger feel too cramped. The only mice I've ever used that felt spacious enough were the R.A.T. series. The R.A.T. 3 was the first (and best) of the series I owned. Bought it well over 20 years ago. My brother uses it on his rig this very day. I eventually got a R.A.T. 9, but the sensor was awful, frequent disconnects, etc. A few years later they were bought up and the new series released (even numbers instead of odd). I got a R.A.T 6 and a R.A.T. 8. They were both awful and suffered from the side buttons failing after 3-6 months. Ergonomically, they were great, but their QC sucked ass and killed the company. There are also vertical mice, or perhaps an Elecom trackball mouse. Those are fucking huge. Elecom is sort of iffy. Really everything is.
G502 is great but I miss my R.A.T 7 and R.A.T 9. Chunky AF but the most confortable mouses I ever had
I used to use a R.A.T. 9 and loved it! So much customization, and it looked cool af.
A long time ago I had a R.A.T. 9, but the scroll wheel broke at some point. Adjusting the mouse for my grip was great though. That's basically almost double the price again though. One thing I really like for Logitech mice is unlocking the scroll wheel. That makes them way more resilient for my constant scrolling on the internet, lol.
After more than a decade of owning it, Saitek's R.A.T 9 still go brrrrrr. Batteries are showing it's age tho.
If you could get your hands (unintentional pun but keeping it) on a second hand Saitek/Cyborg R.A.T. 7 or 9, fully extended out it fit my large hands, best mouse I ever had. I have a Logitech g603 which is ok, and a Corsair Ironclaw, specifically marketed for larger hands, and it's also quite good.
My old wireless Rat 9 probably was the best fit for my hands lots of size customization, but it got too old and the batteries eventually gave out. Now they have skyrocketed in price. Running the 502 now cause it was on sale in store one day.
