My first and only Pulsar mouse is the X2V2 medium and it works flawlessly after several months. You're the minority and are just extremely unlucky here I'm pretty sure unless it's somehow a user error. The company wouldn't exist if every product they made had issues.

I have a Pulsar X2 V2 in dark green. Nothing "gamer" about it. It's a nice color, no rgb.

a new shape with a reputable company is always interesting. i’m currently using a pulsar by you x2v2 medium and i love it. realized by using this and the razer viper v3 pro that i like claw grip the best. i bet this thing is a banger like the rest of the the pulsar mice

The best mouse is when it has a suitable form for you, I use x2v2 when it has a great form for me, rather than superlight when it’s too big for me

They have had some bad runs, but they fix stuff pretty quick. I think over time being a relatively fresh face in the market they will be solid off the mark. The Xlite V3 was, I have had a really hard time replacing it with anything because I enjoy it so much, its honestly killed my mouse hobby, and really hype about the X3, but yeah, worry about that first batch because my X2V2 had the squishy clicks I had to fix myself, then it was perfect.

Right now I am loving the Pulsar X2V2. I have somewhat large hands (21x11) and I notice i'm holding it more relaxed and more fingertip style. compared to the viper v2 pro I also still really like the viper and I'm switching them out a little. If I can teach myself to hold it as relaxed as the Pulsar without creeping forward on the mouse during gameplay I would prefer it.

X2V2 might be something to explore if you’re wanting a wider grip width as it’s that, and pretty flat. Would say Vaxee XE as well, but it’s pretty heavy by today’s standards. LGG LA-1 is also another option to look at.

I always try to get people to not buy a Logitech mouse when they ask me which one they want. Thankfully, I got my friend’s brother to get a Pulsar X2V2 for like $46 at microcenter when he was originally thinking about a superlight, most people haven’t heard of anything past the popular brands of Logitech, Razer, Corsair, etc. That being said I like their nicer work mice, the Logitech lift has been my favorite general use/work mouse since I got it pretty much.

Nah liking heavier mice is not an unpopular opinion, it's just not as many people wanting to go for heavier mice now which shows in the consumer mouse market. It's the same for monitors where it used to be CRT monitor which phased into TN panels which then phased into IPS panels for preference and now OLEDs. I started with the 229g G602 about 10 years ago to end up with mice under 60g like Pulsar X2v2, Deathadder v3H, and Viper v3 Pro.

I havent tried steelseries but razer is far away from trash. I also like mice and try different ones every now and then like the vaxee xe, gpx2, viper v2 pro, dav3, pulsar x2v2, and much more. I have had a razer basilisk for like what 5 years now? Maybe even more and it hasnt gave me one single problem. I have the death adder v2 mini for years and havent had a single problem. I main the viper v2 pro and its the most amazing mouse for me out of all the ones i tried and still have in my collection including the new gpx 2. If you have a problem with a mouse dont make it a general statement and push people away from it. Because just like you have a problem, many people have had none. That goes for almost all top brands.

You might have a better chance on r/mousereview Just know it's hard to help you with recommendations if you don't provide your hand size, grip style, and any other features you're looking for. But, since you're asking what we all use: (hand size 18x10) I mostly use a FinalMouse ULX Pro but will sometimes use my Pulsar X2V2. I have several other mice but those are my main 2 that I feel comfortable on as a relaxed claw/fingertip user. If it helps, I main Cass for DPS and Illari for Support. Best advice I can give is to block out all the bs jargon that people will try to sell you on. Shape is king. Other things like weight, clicks, sensors, etc. are important to an extent, but by far the shape and what's comfortable in your hand is the most important factor.

Depends on what you want. I want a relaxed claw mouse that is a little wide with at least a decent hump in the back for palm support since I have above average (in this sub) hands. It should have optical switches or hotswap so that it lasts. The clicks should be sharp, and have a good implementation so it feels connected. I need a good coating that's not slippery like cheaper Chinese mice and doesn't discolor like the GPX. I like a tactile scroll wheel and side buttons. I want a solid battery life so I don't have to recharge it often. I also don't want to overspend since good mice are cheap nowadays. I previously liked larger back hump mice like the MM711 and GPW, so I picked up a used X2V2 for cheap, and now it's my main. Sure I had to tweak it since the clicks were a bit sticky, but I also paid half of it's discounted retail price, and it's easy to repair, so I'm happy. Might look for an X2H for more support.

You have the same grip as me. Relaxed claw grip on the mouse and almost identical hand shape as me. I’m an 18x9. I would probably recommend something like a pulsar x2v2 or an X2H mini. If you want to go a little bit smaller you could also do an X2 Crazylight but that size is a little too small for my liking. I’m bias toward pulsar lol but I love their mouses

Pulsar QC has been a problem since their first product. I would wait for the upcoming new generation of products and see if they actually fix it this time. BTW if you didn’t realize, X2V2, X2H and Xlite V3 are all in the same generation and share the same click issues. “Completely revamped” is when compared to the last generation (X2 and Xlite V2).

I use a Gravastar M1 Pro and a Pulsar X2V2 Founders. Both are technically 4k gaming options but the Grav is a lot heavier. Both are probably a bit worse overall for productivity than a master, but they can get the job done as needed.

I'm just mildly miffed that they didn't put the Ultra in the store on release day... I'm sure the difference between sensors is indiscernible but the fact that I could have gotten a 3950 for $4 more than a 3395 irks me. That being said I really like the L7. Perfect mouse for me. Makes the X2V2 feel heavy even though it's only a 13g difference. Skates are kinda meh though, that's my only gripe. But that's easily fixed with some aftermarket skates.

I’ve been using Pulsar mice since the original X2 and the Xlite v3 was finally a mouse where quality was good enough that I could recommend to others. X2 V1 had double clicking issues, even on later batches. Rather than fix that and allow buyers to RMA, they released a V2 instead that people had to re-buy. X2H had the worst clicks of any mouse I’ve ever tried. They then finally released a good mouse in the Xlite V3 but at this point, I’ve just gone for the OP1w 4K and won’t be buying from Pulsar again.

I suggest poking around r/mousereview but considering you’ve used a Rival 3, I’m assuming you claw grip, I’d recommend looking at the Lamzu Atlantis/Atlantis Mini, either mouse shape offering from Endgame Gear, and maybe the Pulsar X2/X2 Mini. They’re all cheaper than the Superlight 2 and comparable in performance. Also can check eloshapes for similar shaped mice to your Rival 3: https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/find-similar?p=SteelSeries-Rival-3 Lastly, highly recommend checking out pzogel’s mouse reviews on techpowerup. *Edited for clarification

People that recommend the Viper Mini either havent tried it themselves or dont know better, that cable is stiff, thick so its not even compatible with mouse bungees I wouldn't subject a friend to that. The minimum I'd pay for a wired mouse with an actually good cable is around 2k for the Wired Razer and Pulsar options (Razer Deathadder V3 and Pulsar X2/X2H/Xlite Wired) and max at 3k-4k for the 8k options from Endgame Gear with good wired cables as well (OP1 8k and XM2 8k) at 1k the only reasonable option is VXE R1, whatever version you can get (avoid pro max, switches suck)

Quick thoughts as a certified Pulsar X2 shape enjoyer: * They keep insisting on putting the ridges around the skates. These are annoying as fuck on hard pads. IYKYK. * Anything other than an on/off switch on the bottom is a waste of weight. That's just my opinion, of course.

I love the Pulsar X2 series mice. Not sure about "best you can buy", but they're great, especially after the v3 rework. If they release a red X2H v3, ohhhhhhh, god, hold my wallet. You can also get the non-v3 models online for quite cheap. They do have some QC issues, but who doesn't nowadays? Pretty sure their customer support is fine and would help.

I almost pulled the trigger buying one but cancelled the order because of the sketchy software. How is the tracking on it? Is it consistent? When I made loops in MS paint with the attack shark x3, the sensor would skip. My pulsar x2, logitech lift, and even seenda e3 don't do that.

Are you sure you are using fingertip and palm grip hybrid? You probably are mistaking palm for relaxed claw grip. And you are probably cramping due to size of g305 if this is the case. There are people with relaxed claw + fingertip hybrid grip including me. Mice that works for me have almost flat sides like pulsar x2 or x2h(medium or mini), gpx, or op18k.
