I suggest you a Basilisk V3 35k wired
I was almost going to get the G502, but kept reading on decline in build quality in recent times, so didn't get one in the end. I like having extra mouse buttons, while also not having an MMO mouse. So ended up with the Basilisk V3 35K wired. So far so good! Pros for me were quality of clicks and button presses, scroll wheel, and especially the tilt scroll option.
I’m actually using the wired version of the basilisk v3 as my backup right now. The scroll wheel is kind of broken (thanks to my toddler), it basically clicks the mmb anytime I tap the mouse back down on the desk. While it’s a good mouse, only complaint i have is the lack of a way to change dpi, and of course the price for the wireless one. $158 on amazon is pretty steep. The glorious on is a lot more feasible at $70, and I might go with that depending on others suggestions.
Ive got the basalisk x hyperspeed atm, very good mouse altough i previously had the basalisk v3 wired mouse, I much prefered the wired mouse as it was much lighter and had better rgb, unfortunately my puppy eat the wire 😂
Oh and the wired one had more features with the scroll wheel which i really liked
Similar in shape is Razer Basilisk, Logitech G502(X), maybe Turtle Beach Kone. You can get a Basilisk V3 wire for under $50, and that's near the top of their range. Can't say Razer software is flawless, but works well enough for me, and the mouse is high quality, except their scroll wheels always feel squiffy in tactile mode - something to do with the freescroll/tactilescroll mechanism I think. Edit: These other mice people are suggestion just don't have the same shape, feels like they are trying to direct you to their favourite mouse, not answer your question.
Depends on your preferences. I have small hands and just bought a Razer Basilisk. It's one of the biggest "gaming mice" but still small relative to a typical hand.
Razer Basilisk is the only one I can think of (certain variants only e.g. V3). The smart-reel feature and mouse wheel in general isn't as nice as the MX Master though. Whether it fits you I'm not sure.
Can confirm that smart reel works with Synapse closed. I don't fancy uninstalling it. I don't really experience problems with the software, although with a Razer Blade it's there anyway.
Not long, just a couple of weeks. My experience with the scroll wheel hasn't been great, I bought 3 and returned 2 for mouse wheel issues. With the current one the issue is that when it's in tactile mode it's pretty lumpy - basically with a normal scroll wheel if you move it it moves a click. With this scroll wheel you can roll it back a little way without it clicking, and then if you let go it falls back into place. So when doing small scrolls in tactile mode if you end up half way between a low point it then falls back with a bit of a clunk and slight reverb through the mouse. Definitely would like it to be more clinical. At the end of the day it has the best set of features, so I put up with that, the free scroll is good, the smart reel feature is good even if not implemented as well as MX Master, the overall feel and quality is good, and the shape suits my hands (smaller hands). No it's not stiff. It has excessive play and springyness (as it drops back into position) vs a regular scroll wheel. It functions OK. I've had no problems from skipping/lagging/extra scrolls. Smart-reel is a binary on off - when you scroll fast it goes into infinite mode - after about a half second of none movement it snaps back to tactile. It's not the nice smooth transition of the MX.
It's indeed a very nice upgrade from the adder. And yes, it looks dope af. Enough buttons to fully map out complex controls even for games like Fortnite. Some users have reported slight sweat issues on the side wing profile Your budget might also accommodate the Logitech G502 Light speed. All excellent pro options - your choice OP!
"I tried a wallhack SP004 and a pulsar super glide 2 and decided glass just wasn't for me." Whoa. I am reading every word of every comment in this thread and I did not expect to read this. I will keep reading: maybe you elaborated on glass pads elsewhere but thank you for all your detailed, thoughtful and polite replies. You're a good guy. I'm trying to decide if I'll regret a Scyrox mouse or not. Using a wired Basilisk v3 now and it's fine, I'm just itching for wireless. *BUT,* seriously considering a Skypad as well since it ideally won't require replacement, get contaminated with any little food crumbs or water drops etc.
I absolutely love my basilisk V3, would not switch it for any other mouse and can highly recommend it
Using wired v3 since release, absolutely love it. The only downside I found is that scroll wheel can sometimes get stuck in one of the modes, repluging the mouse fixes the issue
Razer overall quality dropped (I guess they changed business plan) after 2019, so you got really unlucky to start buying at 2021. I have a basilisk v3 wired that still works properly, but I can believe you when you say their stuff fails. It's probably better to switch brands yeah. Imo, Logitech mice are better quality, check out Asus too I guess. Zowie are the most reliable I think.
Razer basilisk v3 wired or Logitech g502 wired The wireless ones costs twice as wired ones so if being wireless matters then go for it otherwise wired. Just use open RGB to customize the RGB.
