all you need is two additional side buttons. deathadder v2 mini is good start or if you want something bright colour looking razer cobra pokémon edition. look it up :)
That is a good and long service time. It is repairable, pending. Sometimes it is the switch, sometimes it is something else that is worn. 12 Years are remarkable. The double-click issue is why I gave up on Logitech mice. Yet, it only plagues their premium mice. That said, it has now been two years since I have moved on to another brand. I don't know whether things have improved. I do have a Razer that I carry around. Not wireless, but I have a Deathadder Mini which is in my bag. Happy clicks.

I used a Razer Deathadder Mini V2 for several years but it was a little too small (although still usable). I haven't found a mouse that's exactly the right fit but my Logitech G502 X works quite well and has some ergonomic shaping. I did add some grip tape to it to keep my hand from sliding around too much on it. It's wired because I find wired mice are more responsive. For my keyboard, I have a Logitech G915. I looked at compact keyboards but there were none that appealed to me & had the functionality I wanted. I find it's not bad for typing. For gaming, I played a lot of Diablo 3 and now play a lot of Diablo 4. The standard keybinds for skills are 1 2 3 4 5. For years, I've bound them to Z X C V B instead (even on my old keyboard), which is great because Space is your dodge in D4. It allows me to rest the heel of my hand on my wrist wrist and keep my fingers on those keys without hovering or accidently hitting other keys. I recently added grip tape to those keys as well, making them easy to find even when I'm not looking at them. This setup saves me so much frustration and keeps me from straining my hand/wrist/forearm muscles - a big consideration for me as I'm in my 50s now.
oh sorry, yeah, the shapes still the same, its just the first DA that came to mind, forgot theres 4th xd i mean i would still go with the EC, esp if you do like the coating, if the coating is still the same as the DA V2 mini , than that thing slides a ton (although that probably wouldnt be a problem for palm grip, im using myself as refference but in reality im fingertip person XD) also keep in mind that the DA comes with their wonderful bloatware of a software, the simplicity of controls on EC1 is so priceless, i would prefer a plug and play mouse rather than using razer SW anyday lol
yeah that might be a quality control issue, mine DA v2 mini came with rattling side button, i didnt return it, i was too lazy to have the hustle with it, i just put tape over it and it stopped rattling lol it seems like their QC is still trash, unbelievable xd all in all, go for the wireless zowie, its prolly gonna be much better
>But to pretend they're the same quality as a bigger brand is just copium. I mean there is nothing else like the X2 Crazylight from the higher-end brands so what else am I going to buy?? Razer is refusing to make high-end version of their mini mice, so if we were to compare the wired Viper Mini to the X2 Crazylight, the X2 has better quality outright. I used to own the Viper Mini SE (the magnesium shell) and it broke within a couple of days since one of the shell strut just snapped, my review even got mentioned in a GamersNexus video back in the day about the downsides of magnesium mice. It also has huge friggin holes, small scratchy feet, crap raesha switches, fingerprint magnet coating, and it's heavier overall. I really don't see why the X2 Crazylight is not considered the superior product over the Viper Mini, let alone the Viper Mini SE or the Cobra. Don't even get me started with the Xlite Crazylight compared to their wired Deathadder Mini and DAv3 hyperspeed. I have both on my table right now and the DAv3 HS has started to creak and the top layer coating on the thumb area is beginning to peel, revealing the bare plastic underneath the rubberised coating. My Xlite V3 Mini is still solid and the Xlite Crazylight is somehow more solid than the Xlite V3 and DAv3 HS despite being much lighter (also no more raesha switches). So... X2 Crazylight >Viper Mini / Viper Mini SE / Viper Cobra Xlite Crazylight > Xlite V3 Mini > DA Mini / DAv3 HS
Oh, man, I totally had one of those. My first "good" mouse. I would take it to work every day, and my boss told me they had trouble following my cursor on the screen recordings because I was so fast (that may or may not have also been due, in part, to my ample use of keyboard shortcuts that I'm sure they didn't know existed). I did hate that it didn't have on-board memory, so I had to use default DPI (1800 or something) on work computers, since I wasn't allowed to install the software. In hindsight, Razer does shady things with their stuff now, so I probably shouldn't have been using that mouse on work computers to begin with, honestly. DA V2 Mini I got a while back can just *write to the C: drive* without any permissions or prompting, and drops a Razer folder in there, starts a software install, and sets up the installer with settings that are the most intrusive possible. Still... Played so many awesome games with it. Used it on my first full PC build (was using some garbage Gateway laptop before that). My setup was glorious. I regret getting rid of my CRTs. Every day I regret it. Not sure I remember what happened to the mouse. Click broke or something. If it happened now, I could fix it. Mice I have now are definitely better in various ways. Good times, though.

Razer mice are working very well with linux. You can use [https://polychromatic.app/](https://polychromatic.app/) to manage also RGB and other settings for Razer devices. I use the Deathadder V2 mini for years.
