Be careful: my mouse was faulty. The replacement dongle they sent was faulty. The repeatedly asked me to show them a photo of me cutting the cable...on a wireless mouse. Finally, after a horrendous slog through customer care, did I get a replacement mouse. This was a Deathadder V2X hyperspeed

Deathadder V2x. I have used all 3. I currently own Chimera and Deathadder. Chimera is bad. It has absolutely bad accuracy. Deathadder is much better in terms of cursor movement accuracy. Logitech is average at best and not very comfy (for me).

Old thread but man you’re my kind of people. I own 4 2009 era Naga MMOG and can’t seem to find another that fit as good. I taught myself to solder just to be able to repair the double clicks and sensor issues as they come instead of scouring for a new used one lmao. I tried the Hyperspeed V2 since it share a similar layout but the shape is way different.

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on which mouse to get because I am so sick of uncomfortable mice. Currently I am using the Razer Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed and at first it was great but now it feels uncomfortable because my ring finger and pinky are touching and that bothers me for some reason. It also feels a bit too heavy for me with the battery, I know it's not a super heavy mouse but it still makes my wrist a bit tired. Here is every mouse I had so far: (currently) Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed, Naga V2 Hyperspeed, Viper Mini, Logitech G305, Logitech G703, Logitech MX Master 2S, HyperX Pulsefire, Glorious Model O. I am also on a bit of a budget so something preferably up to $90, under 60g and can be bought on Amazon. I am okay with Chinese "dupe" mice as long as they perform well. Thank you!

I've used a LOT of different mice for wow. Logitech g600 was great, but it's discontinued. Unless you wanna pay 400 for one, then you'll need something else. Razer Naga MMO mouse with 12 buttons was also very good. But also discontinued. I finally settled on the razer v2 hyperspeed. It's identical to their old 12 button MMO mouse except that it's wireless. I'm the kind of person who likes everything wired, but honestly after a while I was sold. Excellent response time, battery life, etc. And I pvp mostly. Some like corsair, etc. But i personally found them sometimes large and clunky. Personal taste. If you don't mind changing batteries once in a while the razer v2 hyper is great.

if these are your only options, get v2x hyperspeed but also see what your grip is, you may like g304 more instead of g304, get MCHOSE G3(800maH) wireless, i havent heard much of it but it seems better than g304 in terms of features

I was using a g304 I love that mouse but the only issue is that mouse will double click for sure after a year. I currently use the razer v2x. It is a great mouse but changing battery has costed me around the price of mouse itself in just 1 year. Basically it has a very less battery life (Now i use rechargeable batteries) Other than battery life, razer v2x is a great mouse

For the mouse, I’d recommend checking out the Logitech G502 Hero. It’s a fan favorite for good reason it’s got a bunch of extra buttons, which are perfect for faster reactions in FPS games. Plus, it’s super comfortable and has adjustable weights, so you can tweak it to your liking. Another great option would be the Razer DeathAdder V2 simple, reliable, and very responsive for quick movements in fast-paced games like the ones you’re playing. As for the keyboard, if you're looking for something mechanical but budget-friendly, the Redragon K552 is a solid option. It’s compact, has a nice tactile feel, and doesn’t break the bank. If you prefer something with a bit more flair (RGB lighting, etc.), the Corsair K55 is another great option that’s priced well for what you get. Both are solid choices without hitting your wallet too hard. Hope that helps, and feel free to ask if you need more suggestions!

I recently picked up the Razer DeathAdder V2 for 2300, and I’m really enjoying it. This is my first mouse over 500, and I can’t get enough of it. My only minor complaints are the fast battery drain (for AAA on hyperspeed dongle) and the slightly tedious process of setting up the onboard memory profile, had to do bit of research and dig up some very old reddit thread. Other than that, I absolutely love it.

It's an asymetrical right hand shape, people usually call it an ergo mouse, though it's not truly one, just fits snuggly. If you like the shape, I would just get a newer iteration. The V2 has the same shape, updated sensor and no double clicking due to optical switches, though you can only find this one used. V3 has a bit different shape (still DeathAdder just less grooves), no RGB, lighter weight, again updated sensor (with up to 8K polling) and better switches with even lower latency. Both has HyperSpeed or Pro variants if you want wireless.

DAv2 and Pulsefire Haste has internal memory and doesn't require running the software. I assume the rest of time lineup does the same now. Only thing the DA forgets is RGB.

I got the DAv2 used last year, it was in use since 2021 and still has no issues except for the rubber coating getting worn on the side but I added grip tape and replaced the skates. The Haste I bought 3 years ago, used it for 1.5 years as daily and now serves as my travel mouse, still no issue. Only mouse that sort of died on me was a Razer Taipan last year, but it was over 10 years old already and I got it used in 2019. The sensor stopped registering, the buttons and light still work. I sold a DAv2 Mini 3 years ago to a friend, still uses it as his daily. Maybe I'm just getting lucky, but the condition I see some mice in online makes me wonder if it's just people being stupid with their gear, throwing it around and smacking it out of rage.

As the titke says, i have tremors so my aim can be extremely jittery at times. I need something with a decent weight. Currently i use a deathadder v2 and it has worked well. Also mice without rubber sides would be good, my grip apparently tight enough to wear 3 divots in the side of my deathadder. Thanks

I have only used Deathadders for a long, long time just because they work astonishingly and fit me so well, and last a long time. But I know that each person has their own specific needs so if it doesn't work for you then it doesn't work. The Deathadder essential is their "cheap affordable" option and I promise their other versions are better but again for me they are. They have a V2 wireless that's pretty dang good too if you want a good wireless but it's a lot heavier than the V3 wired, I love how light this thing Is you can flick it to next week!

Then you'd probably not like the V3 it's only 59g, so it's super light and at first it was weird and I didn't lime it but it soon swooned me and I can't even use another mouse they're too heavy haha. I even tried the wireless version but it was a little thinner and heavier and I couldn't love it

For FPS games I'd recommend Cobra or DeathAdder (but I'd go at least for V2 wired if possible - with optical switches). Be aware, that Viper Mini is EOL for a long time, and most aliexpress/amazon units are fake ones so go for Cobra.

Hello, I'm decided of getting a new razer mouse. The option, due to budget are: Viper V3 Hyperspeed Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed Deathadder V3 Pro Currently, I use a Deathadder V2, I know there are chinese options like ATK, but I have a TOC about my peripherals being of the same brand. What would you guys do? I saw the offers and it's almost the same price for the two Hyperspeed and 20 USD more dor the DAv3 Pro. Thanks in advance.

I have the DeathAdder V2. It's a good mouse and suits my requirements perfectly. I'm a casual gamer and don't play FPS games, so I won't able to comment on accuracy though. I bought it mainly to protect my primary mouse, a Logitech MX Master 3S. I also got it for a steal - 2000 bucks from EliteHubs! It is very comfortable to hold and use. It is a bit too loud for my tastes but since I use headphones while gaming it doesn't really bother me. But what I have noticed is it eats through the battery. It's been a little over two months and the Razer is already down to the 30s despite being used sparingly. My MX Master is used the whole day, every day and is still going with about 20% left. Of course, that could very well be due to the Razer using a single AA battery and the MX Master using a larger(?) rechargeable. But just thought I'd mention that point anyway.

Very late to the thread, but yeah my first few mice I used with a crappy laptop for gaming were around $20-$25 wireless, function was alright but they did break within a few years. (Second one I still have but the lock to hold the battery compartment is what broke on it so I held it in place with a thick flat rubberband.) When I made my tower build I got a Deathadder v1 or v2, was perfect for almost 7-8 years until having some issues with the scroll wheel and double clicking. When I went away to college I got another wireless one off amazon and really liked it. 5 buttons and a little 3 level DPI adjuster right on it and was perfect for at least 2-3 years. The kicker thought, it cost legitimately $3. So for the same price as a good mouse I could have gotten 20 of the cheap ones which at the same average lifespan could theoretically last for 30 to 40 years longer than the 'high quality' one.

Razer Deathadder and Logitech 502 are the only wireless I have experience with, they're decent enough though the wireless deathadder has no textured side grips. Your price range is less a choice and more entirely dictated by the ridiculous prices gaming mice have gotten to sadly.

Kreo was a sponsor at one event in my college. They gave mouse and keyboards to winners of competitions. I won the FIFA tournament and they gave me this same mouse. I had a 4 year old Deathadder from Razer I purchased for 2.5k at a sale. I gave that to my Mother and started using this mouse. Quality issues are the main concern but other than that even in normal use cases other than gaming the mouse would sometimes stop working for 10 seconds and start working again. Scroll wheel button got jammed once I didn't know that was even possible. In games this mouse is inconsistent due to its sensor. I think I didn't really give it much time to grow on me but after all the random disconnections, it managed to surprise me with DPI changing when it started working again. DPI normal was 800, I used 1500 so pressed the button 2 times to switch to that. When it stopped working and on again, it switched back to 800. This was in the middle of games. I switched back to my Deathadder in 2 months. Mummy ko Logitech ka mouse dilwa diya. Kreo wala kisi junior ko de diya jisne 5 dinn baad hi boo diya ki itna chutiya mouse free mein bhi nahi Lena chaiye thha aapse. And all these frustrations were after I got it for free. I can't even imagine paying 4k for this. Get a Deathadder, Orochi, or a Viper 8K. All of them are mostly at discounts. Check Elitehubs and MDcomputers. You'll find cooler master, Razer, Logitech, corsair, even fucking hyperx mice far better in quality and performance than these. Fuck it. I have used a zebronics mouse for 3 months and that felt less hassle than this. If all the mice were cars, this one would be a tuktuk.

There is no best mouse tbh it's shape dependant. Lamzu (Thorn, Maya, Atlantis), Pulsar (X2, or Xlite), Razer (Viper or Deathadder), Logitech (G Pro), VXE (R1 or Mad R) Just a few brands to look into and check shapes on^ There are loads of decent mice out there these days though. Just look for something with either a PAW3395 or the newer PAW3950 sensor. Can save quite a lot of money and still get a competitive mouse by going with a Chinese brand like VXE, Lamzu, or Scyrox, etc. Some of these have Web based software also which imo is vastly better than razers Synaps and Logitechs GHub. AimAdept on YouTube has lots of videos on gaming mice.

I moved to razer's mice after the double click problems with Logitech's and while they don't have the double clicking issue, the scroll wheels are worse. Returned the Viper mini due to random scrolling in opposite direction and the return started having the same issue in few months. Deathadder has fared better but its scroll wheel starts squeaking now and then.

Not very durable though, I think I’m on my 4th deathadder, but that’s over a decade timespan. A few years ago I did for a small period of time try a logitech g502, I didn’t really like it. Need a mouse in the 60-70 AUD range, What I am looking for is: 1. Medium in size, I used the razer deathadder, logitech g102 before, The deathadder felt nice, g102 was a bit smaller but manageable. 2. good buttons, Specially a good wheel. Among the 3 gaming mice(3rd being aorus m2 lol) I've used in my life, all 3 of their wheels got fvcked in like less than a year. The m2 lasted a whole before fully killing the wheel. G102 was alright, it works most of the time but not always. And the worst being deathadder, Both the wheel and the cable died under 3 months wtf. 3. not ugly. It doesn't have to be pretty But I saw mouses with goofy lighting which legit looks like sticker(could be sticker idk). 4. weight doesn't matter that much since I'll not be using it for competitive or hardcore gaming. 5. wireless Thank you.

I used the Corsair for a couple years. I am using the Razer now. I really lied the ability to reposition the button pad on the Corsair. I have fairly large hands, so sliding that bit forward was comfy. Like many people, I ran into issues with the scroll wheel. Read online that a little lubrication would fix it, and it did. Temporarily. I would regularly have to open the thing and dab a bit more oil in there. Eventually, it didn't quite go back together right, and the right click started to fail. Additionally, I liked the iCue software, once I had it figured out. I would actually program in some macros to help with crafting. I went for the Naga next. It has been fine. I struggle a bit to hit the back three buttons on the fixed pad. There's also no real tactile difference between them, so it is often a matter of "Thumb forward, confirm first column, move back to desired column, press button." I'm used to it, though, so it does not slow me down. I have one more... odd complaint. I play from a recliner. The arm of the recliner is my mouse area. Movement is absolutely fine, but the pads have so little friction that the thing will slide off of my chair the moment I remove my hand. So if I am not raiding, or otherwise doing normal computer things, I have a wired Deathadder at hand. There is not enough play in the wire for it to fall off. You will probably never again hear someone complain about mouse movement being *too smooth*, but here we are.

According to your use: Pure hardcore gaming: Logitech G402 Calm casual gaming: Razer deathadder, Logitech G203 YouTuber or steamer: Razer Cobra Best budget: Kreo hawk My choice is that you should take Razer deathadder or G203 as it is cheap, provides peaceful gaming experience and provide decent aesthetics

Logitech g502 or lightspeed. I wouldnt go with razer as i went through like 5 deathadders, and all of them developed a double click problem (i play alot of games that require alot of clicking). Had the logitech lightspeed for some time now and its been solid.

Just don’t but a mouse solely for the 8k hz polling rate. Theres a lot of info on youtube about it, basically its useless and it strains your CPU more, on top of that it drains the battery of the mouse very fast. I recently bought the Razer Viper V3 pro, its very light, i put it on 2k hz polling rate. Before this one I had the Razer Deathadder, but i recommend the viper v3 pro! Hope this helps

The caveat with Razer is that rebinding mouse buttons does not work in Linux. While the defaults work for me (I have a deathadder and a naga, and the side buttons on both are mapped to number keys), someone with a more specialized use case will need access to Windows to set up the mouse. OpenRazer only allows you to adjust the lighting and sensitivity IIRC.

My personal experience with the Deathadder was not that great. I got it from Amazon around 6 months back, but recently the power/mode switching button stopped functioning properly (the mouse wouldn't turn on or sometimes randomly turned off while using it). This might have happened because I frequently switch between my work mac (bt mode) and personal pc (2.4ghz mode). So I have sent it for RMA, hoping to get a replacement. Meanwhile I got the G304 (as it was in-stock :) ), and the experience has been good for the past couple days. Really liked the quick connectivity due to the lightspeed tech (deathadder usually had a couple seconds delay).

no idea why youre locked in to those 2 brands. endgame gear makes the op1 8k and the xm2 8k, both are symmetrical and the wired versions come in under $90. aside from initial setup you can get rid of the software too because it saves to the mouse. also you wont notice the wire, its that good. as others have mentioned the deathadder also comes in a wired version under $80, but it isnt symmetrical

I have the G502 and it's great. Razer Deathadder was my previous mouse and it died shamefully in the middle of a game, maybe others have a better experience with it, from my experience Razer is not reliable.

Honestly, not everyone playing at an above average tier or even pro level will have benefits from low weight. Its really a matter of aim styles, grips, body and arm position, etc. I can only find my ideal sens for both flicks and tracking with a bit more weight, without it, one is always a bit off. You just gotta look around, many pros in many games still use mice like the ec2 or even the deathadder. Low weight is not better, its just more suited to the majority (i agree with that). And Im all about diminishing returns , its super fun to maximize potential! But in my case and many others in my gaming circles a bit of weight can give better results no matter if you play slow, super fast, etc. It's really personal "preference". I wish these things were predictable, my wallet would be happier !

I got a Razer Deathadder and when one of the mouse buttons stopped working and I tried to file a warranty claim the process was such a pain in the ass that I quit. Logitech just had me record a video to verify the problem and then sent me a replacement; I didn't have to return the defective mouse. I'm not sure if that's their policy anymore, but I appreciated it. Meanwhile, Razer had me record a video first thing, then kept asking me to perform troubleshooting steps that I already told them I'd tried (since they told me to in the support article), and then a couple times closed out my ticket because I took a few days to reply (and after reopening the ticket, they basically wanted to start from the beginning again), and then they wanted me to ship the defective mouse back to them at my own expense, warning that if the mouse was deemed non-defective I would not be receiving the product back or a replacement. After that I complained and they agreed to provide a shipping label, but at that point I was done. I'm pretty sure that's the goal, make the return process such a hassle that people give up and they don't have to honor their warranty, so they won that battle. Still, I'm never buying another Razer product again. I did have a string of Logitech mice that had double click problems, which is why I switched to options that had optical switches for a bit. But those had their own issues, so I'm back to using a Logitech 305. If it starts double clicking again, hopefully the warranty process is still painless, and if it comes to it, it's pretty cheap to replace.

Good luck lol 10$ isn't a budget, you can't find anything decent on aliexpress for that price, and any g102 or deathadder you'll find for less than 10$ are fakes. So either increase your budget, 25$ is a minimum to have something decent, or get anything that looks cool but lower your expectations.

non pro viper wireless, razer deathadder, i'd argue g305 lightspeed, xtrfy m42, wired zowie, superlight 1, glorious wired, some lgg mice, some vaxee mice, endgame gear op1k. All these are like 25-80€ if my quick currency version is right. Some of these are wireless too. Especially if you snipe a sale you can get a really good deal. in "top tier mice" I mean the ones that are basically the same shape as the "standards", superlight 2, viper v3 pro, deathadder v3 pro, etc. Obviously the tech is a bit worse, but we were hitting insane shots on mice 15+ years ago, even the worse mice are 100% good enough. 4k/8k polling doesnt change that much, and thats the major sell of the more expensive mice. I've managed to pick up qck+ for like 10€ on average the last few years, always on sale somewhere. Otherwise a sale on a lgg saturn (standard), zowie gsr (any version you prefer). Qck might not be the longest lasting, but it's usually on a good sale so you never really have to fork out more than AT MOST 40€ a year on it if you're really picky with pad and swap it 4x a year, but most ppl usually keep it for 6-24 months atleast.

There were a lot of different gaming mice back then. Razer's Naga line launched back then, as well as various other MMO mice (I remember a friend had a SteelSeries WoW mouse. Although a lot of mice from that era had more than the 5 buttons that are common today. Razer had the Lachesis, Deathadder, Copperhead, and some others which were solid options. Logitech had the G3, G5, G7, G9, G9x, MX518 and I believe the G500 all were popular. Microsoft Sidewinder was a solid mouse. If I remember right the Cyber Snipa was out around that time too. Which was a great mouse for the price at the time. The Saitek Cyborg also may have been out around that time. This is all just me thinking out loud of mice that I owned, friends owned, or I wanted.

The mouse in the picture has a bump on the left rear side, similar to my Razer DeathAdder. When I switch back to the DeathAdder from a smaller mouse R1, that bump presses against my thenar eminence. My hand is 17 cm long, which might be a bit too small for this mouse. I'm not sure if that bump should be positioned more forward or backward relative to my thenar.
