Hello brothers! My Razer Naga Left finally died today. Since I bought Naga 2 for my kid a while back, I figured it was time to upgrade mine too. However, the mouse industry still thinks left-handed people are a myth. Razer, Logitech, and friends have endless right-handed options. "Esports." "MMO." "Ultra-light." "Pro." "Banger." Whatever buzzword they’re selling this week. For us? One real gaming option: The old Naga. To be fair, they discontinued it over 10 years ago, but then brought it back again because enough of us cried. They even improved the specs over the original Naga. So, "Yay, Razer"? No. I’m not throwing a parade for a company that treats 5% of humanity like a side quest. They also tried floating the idea of a left-handed Naga Trinity through Kickstarter, back in 2018, which is still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. A company like Razer basically saying - "We might make a product for you, but only if you fund it first". Yay capitalism. Anyway, results are here - [https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/razer/razer-naga-trinity-left-handed-edition/comments](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/razer/razer-naga-trinity-left-handed-edition/comments) . They wanted to raise $1m, and have - quite fittingly I might add - raised only 5% of that. Yes, there's approximately 10-12% of us in the world, but most are suppressed due to dominance of righties, so large part of lefties use mouse in their right hand 😢 So, back to me. Went to see the Razer shop today. Old Naga 1 Left is $100. That's not "way too expensive" but IS expensive, nonetheless. In the past I've used several trackballs, but I need a mouse mouse this time as I'm using it for gaming, too. The way I see it, these are my options now: \- Razer Naga Left - $100 - [https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga-left-handed-edition/RZ01-03410100-R3M1](https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga-left-handed-edition/RZ01-03410100-R3M1) \- Elecom Pulsar EX-G - $33 - [https://elecomusa.com/products/copy-of-ex-g-wireless-usb-ergonomic-mouse](https://elecomusa.com/products/copy-of-ex-g-wireless-usb-ergonomic-mouse) \- Logitech Signature M650 Left - $40 - [https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m650-signature-wireless-mouse.910-006234](https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m650-signature-wireless-mouse.910-006234) \- Kensington, Hama, Bluestork, and CSL vertical mice - I still have some old ones. But I really don't want a vertical mouse right now My first ever left-hand mouse was Logitech MX610, 3 decades ago, and I was never able to go back to ambidextrous mice since. I'll appreciate any real experience you've had with any of the mice that are available now. Thank you, and may your pillows be cool on both sides tonight 😎

Razer has started cheaping out on the middle mouse button. My last 110€ Razer mouse broke 3 times (once after just 3 months) within 2 years. Warranty covered it (though the process was very annoying to go through ) but I'm just so tired of having to replace it. So now I'm back to using ambidextrous mice. Otherwise they are nice

I have a left-handed Naga, but I find it a bit too big for my small hands, so I prefer the Logitech G Pro Wireless, They have also released the Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed with mostly the same features, but just a bit more "premium". Neither Logitech model has the 12 side buttons like the Naga, but the side-buttons can be magnetically mounted on both the left and right-hand sides for lefties. I am very happy with it.

The left handed mouse market is very bleak since the tech industry effectively starved lefties out of the equation and succeeded where schools failed at correcting a degree of left handedness. What's wrong with your current Naga? Sometimes you can easily fix or replace parts. Razer is still your best option, even though the Kickstarter was a marketing stunt, they have produced 3 left handed mice knowing fully well these endeavors would always remain in the red which is why the Naga 2020 recycles much of the 2014. IMO, Logitech's M650 L is a joke compared to the MX610, it's a right handed focused fake ambidextrous mouse with just the side buttons moved to the right side, the tracking sensor is left in an awkwardly position near the pinky side on the left handed model while it's position is inline with the thumb on the right handed counterpart.

I've only had problems with the scroll wheel on the Naga 2014, but the 2020 has been rock solid and both mice haven't developed "double clicking" problems like my pair of MX610's have.

I got the left-handed edition. I literally bought 6 of them when they re-released in case they stop making it again

Mice in order shown: 1. Razer Lachesis: 2007 2. Razer Ouroboros: 2012 3. Razer Lancehead: 2017 I’ve always used these moderately high ambidextrous mice from Razer since the Lachesis and have upgraded to the new rendition within this line as the old ones became worn but they seem to have dropped this style after the lancehead. Heck, they’ve dropped anything left handed friendly with moderately high buttons entirely as far as new mice are concerned. I’m on my 2nd lancehead right now and now that one is experiencing problems and there’s no more in stock anywhere or any mouse on the market that fills the same niche. Why would they drop this layout entirely? First assumption would be poor sales on the lancehead but the market had to have existed to have 10 years of this layout. I’m just bummed and needed to rant since as far as I can find, there’s no comparable mouse on the market that fills this same niche and there’s no lanceheads available new anywhere anymore.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get used to the naga keypad for every day use and their current ambidextrous offering like the viper is configured best for right handed use due to having side buttons only on the left which wouldn’t be worth it for my use case

Hey I use that exact mouse for the same reason albeit the left handed edition. Although I have a different layout. That mouse is honestly a godsend. It’s how I play anything nowadays. Although I do find the 360 and GameCube controllers to also be great with one hand

It’s like the only left handed mmo mouse too. But god is it a lifesaver

I love my Naga (2020 left-hand edition... even bought a spare when they became available again so if it breaks I won't have trouble finding a replacement like what happened with my old \[2014?\] left-handed Naga). However, the rear 6 buttons are awkward for me to press, so I mostly just use 123 and a limited amount of 456. Before my old Naga, I used a mouse with a single extra button on each side, and that was alright but not great. In the gap between the Nagas, I used some Logitech mouse with 2 extra buttons on each side which was more acceptable, but I prefer using my thumb to hit the extras rather than having to use my pinky. I always thought the Naga Hex (which confused me by apparently having 7 side buttons rather than 6) would be nice for my needs, but they never made a left-hand edition prior to discontinuing that line.
