I will never understand the blind glazing of the Scimitar.
I've had 3, all had the left-click become unusable within a year (same issue with Naga mice, at least back in the Naga Molten days).
Also, the side buttons, even on highest placement are way too low and to use 1/4 comfortably, you need to lift the mouse.
I miss my Naga Molten. I love some weight in my hands and very functional back when I was still playing D3. It also looks so menacing while the molten lava pulses.
I used the Naga Molten, then went to the overhaul they did for it in like 2013 ish. I now use a naga v2 pro and have the deathadder style side on it. Best freakin mouse ive ever owned.
A few years ago, I bought a mouse mainly for playing MMO games (like WoW), and at that time I got the Razer Naga Molten Special Edition. It lasted me about 2.5-3 years. It started having the typical Razer mouse problem: the double-click issue. Then in 2019, I bought the Redragon Impact M908, and to this day it's still working perfectly.
I have used 12 button MMO mice for the past probably 11+ years and I have not found one Im completely happy with yet, Ive had;
Razer naga (molten edition) - By far my favourite designed MMO mouse Ive owned, it felt nice to hold, the buttons were placed well, it was a little bulky but it lasted me probably around 4-5 years before the sensor in it died and I had to get a new one, very dated mouse now and I'm not sure if its worth getting one these days but I loved it
aerox 9 wireless - Was really nice with its light design but the holes get filled with any grime you have around your desk or on your hands so you need to keep everything super clean otherwise they just end up looking gross. The left click on mine ended up starting to double click sometimes randomly then eventually completely died within about 3 years of getting mine,
Corsair scimitar - Was great mouse, I loved that you could adjust where the buttons were slightly by loosening a screw, but it was probably my shortest lived mouse that the scroll wheel broke and it stopped working within the first 2 years of owning it
Razer naga pro - My current mouse, and I must say Im not completely impressed with it either, Ive had it for about 2 years now and the 5 key on the side has slowly stopped working more and more to the point I have to either press it 6 times for it to work or use my keyboard, you can swap out the side panel with different button configurations but the only one I like using is the 12 button so I've never used any of them, and razer will not let you buy just the replacement side panels to fix them so the whole point of them being removeable and replaceable is useless in reality.
However, I have seen online that you can buy replacement 12 button side panels for the razer naga trinity unofficially through temu, so I think my next investment would be a razer naga trinity and buy the cheap replacement side panels from temu, if they work it could potentially be the longest lasting mouse I've bought, my current one just hasnt completely died yet for me to test this
I am also very excited to see how good the Pulsar X6 is, it could potentially make all of these other MMO mice irrelevant when it comes out, but we will have to wait and see
