Iāve used the Corsair scimitar, 2x Razer nagaās, and a Logitech g600 before finally deciding on the Razer Naga v2 pro (the wireless one). The Corsair one felt cheap and plasticcy, especially with how you can move the 12 buttons forward and back, kinda a gimmick imo. The g600 was fine but I didnāt like how it felt to use the 12 buttons, they are bigger and mushier than the Naga, and a lot closer together which didnāt agree with my thumbs. I use the space inbetween buttons to locate myself. Itās similar to my keyboard which has a space between caps lock and A which helps me locate myself. Iāve used 2 naga, the wired and wireless versions, and recommend the wireless one. It doesnāt have backlighting but that works out good with it using a single AA battery. I get about a month before needing to replace it. As for why Iāve had 3 total, Iāve used them long enough to accidentally spill water on them so completely my fault. I donāt like synapse that much, but I donāt like Corsair or logitechs software either so itās kinda whatever. I just downloaded it to set dpi and assign the 12 buttons to the number keys instead of numpad keys. I know the wireless naga has a weird looking forward-back button placement in the front left of the left click button, but Iāve found that to actually prefer that over being behind the scroll wheel. I use those buttons for push to talk.
Same mine also looks like the pic after about 8 months. I was going to buy a new one because lolRazerWarranties and put clear nailpolish or my 3d printer's clear resin to seal the buttons from abrasion. Judging by this comment chain the potatoes at Razer did this in the future batches.
naga without second thought
Have the Aerox 9, works phenomenally well. I used to use the Naga series from Razer but theyāve all had some issues a year in. The Aerox Iāve had a year so far and no issues, use it daily
You actually taught me something, this mouse wheel does tilt side to side! Thereās software called Steelseries GG, and I had no idea it could do it till I tried after reading your comment. Yeah, theyāre customizable, Iām not certain the default does anything for me but I could probably set it in games like any other button. Maybe scrolling sideways in browser?
If you don't mind taking it apart... there's actually two metal weights inside it that are purely to make the mouse heavier. Can't say I felt any difference to the balance of the mouse after but it was definitely a lot lighter.
That's strange... I took apart two. Although they were literally bought at the same time 10 or so years ago. That sucks =\
I have the naga v2 pro, love it. Kinda want to try the Corsair version but I feel might be a bit small for my hands
You speak truth. Last month I got my Naga v2 pro, came in with faulty scroll. Somehow I am not really optimistic about my due replacement, left a very bad taste in my mouth given that the previous Naga v1 pro lasted me only a year and a half before the side plates gave up.
I've owned 3 nagas since 2009. They last quite a while for me and I use them daily. The first broke through my own error (tripped on the cord and broke the USB), the second I can't remember exactly what happened but it still lasted for several years, and I've been using the Naga Pro V2 for nearly 3 years now and never had an issue with it. I don't know if I'm just exceptionally lucky or people don't take care of their things.
