Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I’ve been using an OG Wired Razer Viper since 2019. Gonna buy a Mad R and use that for another 3-5yrs. People should do research, get a mice that meets their needs, and then stop keeping up with mice for a few years to not feed into endgame consumerism
19x9. I switched from the viper ultralight to the g pro x superlight 2 and I think this is the best mouse I have ever had.
I use ambidextrous mice because I switch hands. (I’m right-handed for everything else but I learnt to use a computer at my left-handed Dad’s desk when I was too young to really notice or care to move the mouse over, so I developed ambidexterity specific to computer use). At one point I had a lefty Deathadder at work and a righty one at home. I specifically look for thumb buttons on both sides. I really liked the Lancehead, and bought a spare first gen Viper while I still could and am still so annoyed that they removed the thumb buttons on the left-thumb side. Just why?! Why would you deliberately remove a feature like that? Surely it’s not that much more expensive to manufacture with those two tiny buttons (as opposed to, say, the Naga). /rant
Make the Viper the Viper again… It was the ambidextrous King and then they ruined the it with the V3
Just asking cause I dont really get the hype of a lighter mouse. Does it actually matter? Like the competetive argument seems silly to me cause we (as humans) were already able to play games really well before this UltraLight race I had Lighter mice (wired Viper) and heavier (rn basilisk hyperspeed) and I dont feel any difference
I've had terrible luck with mechanical switch mice. My Logitech G102 developed double-click issues twice. Then I got a Corsair mouse that also started double-clicking. After that I switched to a Razer Viper Wired with optical switches and it lasted almost 5 years before finally dying. I recently bought a Razer Cobra as it was within my budget, but I'm not really happy with it since it's too small for my hands, middle click feels unreliable and experiencing jitter in FPS games So now I'm looking for recommendations. Budget: 4k, I apologize if this budget is unrealistic for optical switches. Requirements: • Grip: Relaxed Claw • Optical switches preferred • Large hands friendly (Razer viper original wired size is also fine) • Reliability is my top priority • Mostly play Fast paced FPS games like Overwatch & Apex Legends. I don't care much about wireless features(although i would love to but because of budget) or having the absolute best sensor, but i mean if there is one, i won't complain. I'd rather have a mouse that works reliably for years without double-click issues. What would you recommend?
