I’ve been using an OG Wired Razer Viper since 2019. Gonna buy a Mad R and use that for another 3-5yrs. People should do research, get a mice that meets their needs, and then stop keeping up with mice for a few years to not feed into endgame consumerism
19x9. I switched from the viper ultralight to the g pro x superlight 2 and I think this is the best mouse I have ever had.
I use ambidextrous mice because I switch hands. (I’m right-handed for everything else but I learnt to use a computer at my left-handed Dad’s desk when I was too young to really notice or care to move the mouse over, so I developed ambidexterity specific to computer use). At one point I had a lefty Deathadder at work and a righty one at home. I specifically look for thumb buttons on both sides. I really liked the Lancehead, and bought a spare first gen Viper while I still could and am still so annoyed that they removed the thumb buttons on the left-thumb side. Just why?! Why would you deliberately remove a feature like that? Surely it’s not that much more expensive to manufacture with those two tiny buttons (as opposed to, say, the Naga). /rant
Make the Viper the Viper again… It was the ambidextrous King and then they ruined the it with the V3
Just asking cause I dont really get the hype of a lighter mouse. Does it actually matter? Like the competetive argument seems silly to me cause we (as humans) were already able to play games really well before this UltraLight race I had Lighter mice (wired Viper) and heavier (rn basilisk hyperspeed) and I dont feel any difference
r/MouseReview is a good place to start. So is ProSettings website. In general though the G Pro Superlight is probably the most used gaming mouse on the planet, with the Viper V3 Pro being just slightly behind it. I run a fingertip grip and have smaller hands, so I run a Viper Cobra wired / Viper Mini.
as a lefty myself this is a tough spot. the [Razer Viper Wired](https://featherab.com/shopit?razer+viper+wired) is ambi with side buttons on both sides - it's your best bet under $50. the [Logitech G903](https://featherab.com/shopit?logitech+g903) has swappable side buttons but costs more. for aliexpress, look for 'delux m800' or 'zaopin z1 pro' - both have decent sensors and ambi shapes. diy is possible using a g305 pcb and buying a left handed shell from etsy or aliexpress. search 'g305 left hand shell' and you'll find options.
So I have been using a wired Razer Viper since a few years ago. I'm quite happy with it, but we get Amazon gift cards for birthdays in my job and I was thinking it's time to move to wireless mice. I'm left left-handed, and also I don't use WASD layout for play. That makes the extra two buttons on the right side the Viper has really invaluable for me. I was looking for options with the same amount of programmable buttons or maybe even more. A friend has recommended me the Pulsar X2a Medium, and aside from that there's also the Viper Ultimate which is wireless and pretty much the same mouse I currently have. Any other recommendations similar to these you guys can think of? There are tons of Chinese brands I'm completely unaware of. PS: Please Razer make a wireless version of the Naga left-handed...
