Same in my vv3 ... but i sell it. Im rly now sure yet if i gonna get vv4 , after that loose click.
Beast X/Finalmouse shapes have always felt the best to my personal claw grip. Viper V4 Pro and Pro X2 Superstrike are both launching this year, albeit the viper v4 is still only been leaked and the superlight launches soon. Hitscan Hyperlight, OP1 or Xm2, HTX Pro, HTS are all great mice too. Honestly I doubt you could pick a single mouse out of this list and be disappointed.
**I’ve compiled a list of some mouse models that I consider to be among the best in their respective price ranges.** **My goal is for this guide to serve as a reference both for those looking for a premium mouse and for those who just want something solid at a lower cost.** **If it's helpful, please consider giving me an upvote.** **I’ve mainly included newer models. This category includes mice priced above €90. 2. These mice are mainly aimed at highly competitive gaming, due to their ultra-low latency, unmatched build quality, and better tech implementation compared to the rest. **- WLMOUSE Ying Magnesium** [**Shape**](https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=wlmouse-ying-magnesium) https://preview.redd.it/fpfq58fp51rg1.png?width=886&format=png&auto=webp&s=f92a02faf73528b1190fff3316f4e235c1eb5dd5 * **Brand:** WLMOUSE * **Available colors:** Black / White / Purple / Silver / Red / Blue / Black and White * **Price:** 119,92€ * **Connectivity:** USB Cable / Wireless USB Dongle * **Web Software:** Yes (no installation required) * **Highlights:** **1.** Very narrow symmetrical shape, with a high rear and a very low front, aimed at medium to small hands (19x10 or less) for both aggressive and relaxed claw grip, as well as fingertip grip, since its slightly raised rear and slim body allows greater finger mobility. **2.** It weighs 47g, with a magnesium shell that provides better build integrity and much more solid clicks; it comes with 4 high-quality dots pre-installed. **3.** The main clicks can be chosen between optical or mechanical, both with a fairly low actuation force (60 gf – 65 gf), and a light but solid implementation. **4.** Its shape is a clone of the OP1 8k, combined with its magnesium shell that gives a cooler touch and very light clicks. Razer Viper V4 Pro, it's one of the biggest shapes on the market and if it's within your budget it's worth it. If it doesn't fit your budget get a Leviathan V4. If that still feels small, the biggest the mouse on the market is the Darmoshark M9
I mean if you love the VV3 Pro, can't really go wrong with the VV4. I have the Maya X, and VV3 Pro, Superstrike, Pulsar X2 CL Medium, EGG XM2w v2, Pulsar Tenz and a couple others I cant think of. I also I have 20x10.5cm hands so pretty darn close. Maya X feels very very similar to the VV3 in my opinion, so if I had to choose between that and the VV4 I would go VV4. I really like the Tenz shape but just can't do the side buttons, I have to REACH for M4. My favorite just based on shape and build quality, the EGG XM2w. It's what I grab the most. No other mouse gives me the locked in feeling like the EGG does.
At least the previous version of the viper was truly ambidextrous... I felt really disappointed when I saw that the newest version had thumb buttons only on the left side. The new Cobra family is the same, only for right handed. Deathadder had a left handed version (wired) years ago, now it's only right handed. The only true left handed option is the Naga wired, which is an objectively inferior version compared to the right handed ones.
kinda similar hand size here. vv4 pro is safer for your grip because it fills the palm more for relaxed claw. maya x is flatter which works better for aggressive claw but might feel small for palm. given you alternate between all three, id lean [vv4 pro](https://featherab.com/shopit?viper+v4+pro+mouse). also check out pulsar xlite v3 large - underrated for bigger hands. glasspad plus dots is already a goated combo so dont overthink it
Thanks! Bottom left is the Lamzu Inca. If I could only have one, it’d be the VV4. That being said, I do flip flop between it and the OP1. My aim feels more stable with the VV4, and more agile with easier micro adjustment on the OP1, but the main thing is I just find the VV4 to be a bit more comfortable over time. For reference, my hand is 18x9cm, and I have a relaxed pincer claw grip. However, different to most, my ring and pinky sit fairly straight along the side of the mouse, so I need flatter sides to feel comfortable.
It’s a marginal improvement. I honestly don’t notice any difference in the sensor. It basically comes down to crispier clicks, a smoother scroll wheel, lighter weight, and better battery life. My VV3’s coating was starting to feel like old sticky rubber, and the clicks had developed some pretravel from 2 years of heavy use, so it was an easy decision for me to replace it.
That looks very similar to my grip. I have a pretty detailed comment in here somewhere about my take between the two, but other than my shape preference for the Viper, I also prefer the Viper for its lighter weight, better coating, and better side buttons. Only reason I’d go for the GPX over the Viper is if I preferred the shape. I like the feeling of a wider rear that evenly fills out the base of my palm, then tapers to a narrower front. The Viper does that very well, whereas the GPX in my hand feels more like the front and rear are the same width, almost like holding a giant pill.
The Inca is shorter looking from the top down, but it feels longer for two reasons - the rear hump is much more prominent, which effectively brings your hand further back on the mouse, and the other thing is the base is longer. Both Lamzu mice have longer bases than the Viper, with the front skate sitting further out in front of my fingers, and I can definitely feel the additional leverage out front. Viper actually doesn’t feel that long to me, since the front of the front skate is under my finger tips. Just for further theory, since I like to nerd out, if you closed your eyes and put your hand on a mouse, you’d never know how long it is, assuming no specific curvature, and you don’t reach the front of it. However, once in motion, you can feel both the weight out front, as well as the friction of the skates, which is where I think the actual perception of length comes from, rather than just overall length on paper.
That would be my top left 3 in that order - VV4, OP1, and Superstrike, and it mostly comes down to shape, although I do highly prioritize the coating (I don’t like grip tape), click feeling, and lastly, weight, to a degree. I bought the VV3 on launch day and have been super comfortable with that shape ever since, so the V4 was a no brainer, given my V3 costing started to get sticky, and the clicks developed more play/pretravel. The OP1 is also super comfy for me and feels like a scaled down Viper, as far as how it sits in my hand. I also really appreciate the mods ability and have experimented with 5 of their different switch packs. The Superstrike shape is also nice and safe, and I can aim well with it. Comparing just the VV4 and Superstrike, the VV4 wins for me by a large margin. For one, I still believe shape is king, and it’s just a shape I’m super comfortable with. However, several other factors heavily weigh in on this - I get better grip with the VV4 coating, and I still prefer the actual feeling of regular clicks, where there’s a feeling of resistance to press up against, then the breaking point where it clicks. In the Human Benchmark reaction time test, I’m averaging 150-160ms with either mouse, so the HITS doesn’t seem to make any difference for me, in terms of end-to-end latency. For reference, I run my left click at actuation point 2, and the right click at 3. The ability to adjust actuation point to preference is objectively better than just having a fixed point, but rapid trigger is really the only tangible benefit of HITS for me - I can fire my pistol so quickly and consistently, it’s almost as good as having my primary out. I also use my side buttons a lot (rear for crouch/slide and front for weapon swap), and the side buttons on my Superstrike are honestly hot squishy garbage compared to every other mouse I have. However, I did fix most of this by adding a total thickness of 0.3mm of aluminum tape to both the side button plungers, to minimize pretravel. It’s now perfectly usable, but I still prefer the more tactile click I get from all my other mice, where the side button switch/plunger are inline with the button itself, rather than the Superstrike’s switches/plungers being located below the buttons. This reduces tactility, and there’s flex in the thin side button plate. Lastly is the weight. I removed the Powerplay magnets and swapped to dot skates, which has my unit sitting at 57.97g, compared to my VV4 at 50.77g. I have no problem with that weight on paper, but the weight distribution being biased more towards the front gives me the perception that the mouse is heavier than what shows on the scale. My NP-01S V2 is virtually the same at 57.36g, but it’s much less noticeable, due to the weight being more centered. All that is to say, the only reasons I’d personally pick the Superstrike over the Viper are if I found the shape more comfortable, and if I highly valued the HITS system. Otherwise, my impression is that the VV4 is superior in every other way.
I’ve definitely been curious to try some fingertip mice! My main concern has been around side button use. I use my side buttons a ton, and with the mouse base anchored into my palm, I can hit the side buttons without messing with my aim. My thumb never changes position - I hit the rear button by rolling it up and hitting it under my thumb knuckle, and I hit the front with my thumb tip, rather than using just the thumb tip for both buttons. However, if I’m holding the mouse with a fingertip grip, I find it’s hard to actuate the buttons without moving the entire mouse and affecting aim. Maybe it’s different with an actual fingertip mouse.
18x9cm with a relaxed pincer claw grip and fairly straight ring and pinky fingers. Given the straight ring and pinky, I’ve found that I need flat sides. Some mice I’ve tried with more front flare, such as the NP-01 and Atlantis Mini, feel uncomfortable to me, since my ring fingertip feels like it’s just resting on a single protruding point, rather than getting more contact along the entire side, which I prefer. I find the Viper shape to me most comfortable to me (although I do have thousands of hours on it by now), and I can hold it all day long without any discomfort, but I think I aim the best with the OP1 and still find it very comfortable, just less relaxed. The key trait for both of them is I feel like I get very wide, even contact along the base of my palm, then both mice taper to a narrower front with flat sides and minimal front flare.
Viper v4 pro has a similar shape to the superlight Razer's take on the gpx, it is 49-50g, $160, web based software, better stock skates, side buttons, the optical switches are loud and tactile kinda like the light Force optical of the superlight 2.
Upgrade to the viper v4 pro if you like the shape you get optical encoder, loud optical v4, web based software, and improved battery life.
