RedDragon is a brand that I bought from after my Logitech G604 started falling apart. The mouse is a little clicky on the button press compared to the Logitech, but I've quickly gotten used to it. The M811RGB-PRO was my replacement, ymmv. When it comes to MMOs (and other games) I use a Logitech G13. Alas no longer on sale, but the hand is well supported at the wrist and it has a thumb joystick. Four fingers rest on the most used buttons, and I set up nearby buttons that are slightly less frequently used. Here's an (old) sample layout that I mocked up to show the idea: the red keys are where you rest fingers and the blue are easiest each. Yellow are for when you need something and movement is not a contributing factor. https://preview.redd.it/nvykk7a7vclf1.jpeg?width=1006&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2fd80b13c879c82967a31e4879fd5798e87bbbd
Look up Redragon m811 pro wireless. Im satisfied with it having mouse-4/5 and still a bunch of buttons.
I mostly play wow, overwatch and BFV. I'm really enjoying my reddragon 811 pro. It has onboard memory so works flawlessly on linux too. You could also look into m913 impact if you want more buttons for keybinds. Reddragon MMO mice are pretty good. Cheaper too atleast here in the EU. I use my viper mini for fps games.
I use a Redragon M811 Pro, which is a similar mouse but with 8 thumb buttons, and it’s surprisingly good for a $32 mouse. It’s the latest and best I’ve found in my quest to find something comparable to my beloved Logitech G602.
As far as I'm aware, my current setup is my endgame. I can't find anything better that's readily available/trustworthy: * Redragon M811W-RGB-PRO * Ergonomic tilt (would prefer vertical, but I don't think there are any vertical MMO mice). I thought my Darmoshark M5 was my endgame, but, in hindsight, I was just putting up with wrist pronation, and having to close my thumb and little finger together just all the time, and that's exhausting and terrible * Plenty of buttons for hotkeys/macros/navigation * Comfortable * Wireless * Weight is not a concern - I can acclimate * Games other than high speed FPS/twitch shooters *exist*, but you wouldn't know it from visiting this subreddit * PFU Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional 2 PD-KB400B * There's a wireless mod I'm considering * Tactility feels really good * Bested my personal typing speed record on this thing, and I've only had it a few weeks * I would like to get MX stems for it, so I can try my MOA keycaps - could be a good time * I hear stupid-stiff domes would be a good time for me, too, so that's in a cart somewhere I'm not super fond of the... Yugioh card mat I'm using as a mouse surface/deskmat currently, and I'd like to try a glass pad at some point. I miss the Razer Sphex I had, like, a decade ago.
AND, And you do not have to have the software running in the background - You download the info to the mouse (don't forget to do that before closing the UI). And it stays there!

Even then, I've been using redragons with 3395s at around 55g and 1kHz for about $35-40. Sure, it's dodgy, but it works for me, and it's cheaper.
Check out the Redragon M811. I considered it but Redragon is a cheap brand. It has what you might be looking for tho. I didn't go for it because some skills and actives need to be used in very quick succession (Looking at you cold front), faster than I think I could comfortably move my thumb back and forth that far. I also learned from all the mice I tried, your thumb as not as dexterous in practice as you think it will be when you are mouse shopping lol.
