Based on 1 year's data from Mar 28, 2026 How it works
I don't know if they build mice with durability in mind anymore. I average a new mouse each year at this rate. I've owned the G502, Roccat Tyon, Glorious Model O, Logitech Superlight, Superlight 2 Dex, Deathadder V4 pro... One or two others I have forgot about. The only mice on that list that didn't cause me any issues were the G502 & Roccat Tyon. So every lightweight mouse I have owned has developed issues. Just seems to be how these increasingly absurd lightweight mice are. The Superlight decided to develop an annoying double click on one or more buttons, same with the Superlight 2 Dex. I'm permanently done with Logitech after that. The Deathadder V4 is my first ever Razer product, so wish me luck. EDIT: Small rant, but 60-80grams is perfectly fine for a mouse. Why the fuck do they use weight as a marketing thing, nobody needs a sub 50 gram mouse. Using half the materials just screams "I will break much quicker".
my tyon's still goin had to clean the scroll wheel internals a couple times now, but it's a decade old so understandable
I wish we could recommend the roccat tyon. It's my personal favorite. I've not been able to transition to any other, and I've tried so many. Having the buttons all separated like they are helps me so so much. My fingers aren't even that big but I'm constantly having trouble hitting the right button on those ones with all the buttons on the side.
Roccat tyon. For mmo's it was/is the best I've ever used. I love how the buttons are separated and not all jumbled together. Using the 1-12 side buttons I'd inevitably hit the wrong one. Never had that problem with the tyon and I had excellent efficiency with it.
logitech g5 since around 2007. it still works great but i finally retired it this year for a new roccat tyon i couldn't pass up on
I've got fairly large hands too, have a look for the Roccat Tyon, you'll struggle to find them now since they stopped making them, but they're so good, and quite a few extra buttons if you're into gaming
I feel your pain. I use a Roccat Tyon. I have three that I purchased when they stopped making it. I swap out the switches whenever they die.
I use the Roccat Tyon, which has been discontinued for a long time, but it's such a great MMO mouse that I've replaced the switches on it twice now.
I'd argue 2nd best, but probably best in current production. Still mad the Roccat Tyon was discontinued... Roccat's software was meh but damn if the button layout wasn't just *chef's kiss*.
The Roccat Tyon was perfect imho. But out of print for a long time 😩 G502 is... Fine
I loved my roccat mouse too (Tyon), when it died I figured I’d just get another one and lo and behold: and not only is Roccat now turtlebeach (which was already enough for me to start looking at other brands), but they even stopped production of the Tyon long before they were bought by turtlebeach so i couldn’t even find a used one in decent condition :S And for OP: my hands are somewhat large (and danish) aswell and I’ve always preferred a heavy mouse, so I spent a while finding one that “felt” like the Tyon. I ended up with the Logitech G502 X PLUS and I LOVE it ! It’s only a tiny bit smaller than the Tyon, but otherwise feels nearly identical.
I startet GW2 10 Years ago with a Roccat Tyon, then i changed to the Leadr (the newer version of the Tyon). Unfortunately this mous was discontinued years ago but without this mouse i would never be able to play GW2 again like now. I also bought instandly a nearly not used one from Ebay after i found it by luck. It was over MSRP but yea.... For me the prefect mouse and i looked around a lot and never found something similar that was even close.
