I feel your pain.  Historically, I have had terrible luck with selecting a mouse.  I had brand loyalty for Razer and had good luck with them back in the day, but I bought a very expensive model for $100+ only to have it fail during very light use for build quality issues (left mouse button cover plastic cracked).  This was maybe a decade ago and since I have been on a carousel of trying all different brands of mice, only to end up disappointed.  The ones I remember are Corsair Sabre, Logitech g502 Hero, and Steel Series Prime+.  Invariably they all let me down, usually with the switches failing for either the left or right button in a short amount of time.  Except for the Steel Series, which I bought because it had optical switches, but unfortunately the scroll wheel was horrendous.  Right now, I am begrudgingly giving Razer another shot with a Basilisk v3 because it has optical switches as well.  Will just have to see how long it holds up.

SteelSeries and Logitech has dropped in build quality indeed e.g. my SS Prime+ failed after 6 months, out of the box the build wasn't that great either and the scroll wheel later died due to small piece inside breaking. Logitech is a hit or miss, they have a lot of trash products like the G102/G203 due to engineering flaws and few great ones most of them highly overpriced. Razer I think is still offering top quality products, specifically KB and Mouse, definitely not mics, headsets or speakers which applies to most gaming brands anyway. Roccat was pretty much dead brand even before Turtle acquired it and Turtle Beach is all round mediocre, kinda in the same category as [Genesis](https://genesis-zone.com/), except that Genesis at least isn't overpricing their stuff. Is Redragon really that good? It seems like they only have 1-2 mouse models like the M916, the rest are poorly designed which looks like the generic $10 Temu/AliExpress crap.

Because it’s the only mouse that survived my fury long enough to be replaced due to the braid cable falling off. I got a steelseries prime+ for $10. Cheap enough to replace and simple enough to work with. I do miss those side buttons and super scroll.

I got a Steelseries Prime+ (the one with a little display), I wouldn't have got this one but for the money, it was a steal

Love the bright RGB lighting on this mouse and the G-Pro shape, but as everyone has said it will succumb to the double click issue. Had 2 of these replaced under warranty and just gave up on Logitech. I opened up one of the mice and gave one of the switches a tiny burst of WD40, that helped for a year or so - I have replacement switches scavenged from another mouse but haven't soldered them on yet. Got some heavily discounted Steelseries Prime+ and Prime+ mini mice from Princess auto for $12 and the optical switches on those are going strong.

I saw G502 above, something similar would also be a Steelseries Prime+ mouse if you can get your hands on one. My personal experience is that its great.

I like a mouse that’s a bit wider in the back and a bit more narrow in the front. I still use a Steelseries Prime for this reason and even bought extras since it’s the most comfortable shape I’ve ever used. I’ve yet to find another mouse shape that even comes close. Don’t even care if it’s cavemen technology by today’s standards. Comfort > everything else.

I love steelseries prime's shape and sensor but it's skates are outdated. For Rival 3, I think that it's click and sensor latency are bad and skates are outdated on this gaming mouse too.

G203 Lightsync is better than G102 but it's build quality is not that good. I don't know about the cooler master. Steelseries and Logitech's software are good enough and for the side buttons I'd say steelseries prime is better than the other ones.

Yes grip style is also important so you know what to look for a gaming mouse I recommend the steelseries prime or deathadder V3

I meant to say the deathadder V3 wired version? And about the prime yes it has old specs but you won't really notice it other than the weight because most mice nowadays are lightweight.
