Based on 1 year's data from Feb 15, 2026 How it works
Same. Had a Rival 100 from 2016 to 2024 and now I'm using a Rival 3
Steelseries Rival 3. Been using it for a year now. Before that I had Rival 100, which lasted almost 8 years and was pretty much the same thing. I just like the shape
It's not the G502 because after my G703 I am never buying a Logitech mouse again, I swear. I've had it for three years and the scroll wheel has been broken for two and a half of them at a $71 price point. I had some kind of wired Steelseries mouse, like a Rival 105 or something. I still use it today whenever I need to bring my laptop somewhere to do work, but I swear I would still be using it today after like 8 years if it were wireless. After watching that LTT video on the all-Redragon setup, I said "fuck it, I know their keyboards are quality and they seem to like the anime girl mouse" so I looked into it. Didn't get the exact same anime girl mouse, but I did get a slightly different $26 one with a Pixart sensor, same polling rate as my shitty G703, and standardized USB-C charging instead of the weird specifically-shaped microUSB. So, as it stands, if nothing breaks on it any time soon that's a strong contender for me.
Steel series rival 100. If only this one could last forever... Unfortunately it was discontinued, there is a replacement model but it's not the same :( Now rocking Logitech g502 lightspeed Edit: also shout out to infinity scroll wheel, I don't use it much but when i do it's actually game changer
SteelSeries Rival 100; still love it to this day.
Steelseries Rival since 2016, going strong.
Still on my 100. Everytime I get shopping for a new mouse, I can't think of anything I'm missing. Accuracy and reliability have been incredible. Definitely will look at Rival 3 if it decides enough is enough.
Oh shit, sorry to hear that. It's the Rival 100 wired. Compared to similar Razers and Gigabytes it's done well. I rate Logitech too, but they don't make gaming mice I personally get along with (too much for me, I just want a good sensor, two side buttons, and reliability on the usual suspects).
I would go for a Rival mouse from steelseries, cheap, awesome quality and an awesome sensor, never had an issue, never lost a tracking or fight because of the mouse, all buttons work as the first day, only the shell is a bit work out by my hand, completely normal. I’ve been using my old rival 100 for like 10 years now, priced at 32€ back then, and it still works like the first day. I have one thing clear, if it breaks someday, I’ll buy another one, I think the 100 is discontinued, so that would be the current 110 model if I’m not wrong. You can’t go bad with those My tips for gaming mouses: - Never go wireless - The simpler, the better, you don’t need 150 buttons - Hybrid grip, ( left & right handed) works the best, shapes are slim and easy to grip - Look for the best sensos, optic sensor are better, steelseries uses a really good ones, se other brands also do, but that’s really important to not get aim drift when doing flicks on low sensitivity settings - Again, use wired mouses - Better for ones that don’t required drivers, optional are good, but required software ones will give you nightmares on the long run. Better to get something that will run forever without any external dependency
Damn dude your hands are massive, maybe even bigger than mine. Ill give you the list of all of the mice I've tried. 1. Steel Series Aerox 5 - probably my favorite but it is expensive, I don't particularly like the software, It had an issue where it would disconnect randomly sometimes, and after a few years the scroll wheel stopped working. But the weight and button configuration are what are great about this one. It also has a comfortable shape for big hands. 2. Pulsar xlite v4 large - great mouse, great shape, i can almost palm it, I can if im feeling lazy, wide enough for a comfy finger tip grip that large hands pretty much have to use. I wish it had more side buttons but this is my current mouse that i replaced the Aerox with and I love it. I whole heartedly recommend giving this one a try. It has a simple software that just does what its supposed to and nothing else. The software also doesnt need to be running all the time. 3. Mionix Naos Pro - its almost perfect, its almost what i want it to be. if it were just a little taller i would be able to palm it. I think its a solid choice for xxl hands but its just not quite there, the pulsar is far lighter and has a better shape for fingertip grip. 4. Steel series rival - solid, heavy, you can actually add weights to make it heavier. back when i used this i didnt think i would like a light mouse. over all a good mouse with a good shape for large hands. 5. Logi G604 - great mouse, i dont think they make them anymore so they are hard to find/expensive. Scroll wheel is great. Probably about as close to an mx master as your gonna get. Has the weird shape where it gets skinnier where the ring and pinky finger rest so you end up dragging or sticking out your pinky. Lots of thumb buttons, did i mention i like that. 6. Roccat kone xp air - weird shape, almost looks like a left handed mouse but its not. i really like the button configuration but the shape just makes it uncomfortable for the ring and pinky finger, side buttons arent worth an uncomfortable grip 7. Logi G900 - meh one of the first "large" mice i aquired. Its too narrow to be comfortable for xxl hands. 8. Logi G502 - dont listen to anyone who recommends this mouse, its actually not really any smaller than any of the other mice here but the button placement is verry uncomfortable for xxl large hands. I think that about covers it other than I use an mxMaster 3 at work. I would still like for these all to be a little bigger but gaming mice don't get any bigger than this that i have found. TLDR I RECCOMEND THE PULSAR XLITE V4 LARGE Edit - I've held some of the razers at the store and i didn't particularly care for them.
Steelseries Rival, don’t worry. I’ll always love you, even if nobody else does, lmao.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen this elsewhere but I’ve used a Steel Series Rival with some firmware changes to turn off the obnoxiously bright RGB. I’ve been very happy with it. I’m on my second one.
SteelSeries Rival no doubt
I've been using a Steelseries Rival for the past 6 years and I have no complaints. It doesn't have a lot of buttons tho! I used to use the buttons for my rotation on WoW but kinda fell off raiding and keyboard and clicking are enough for my daily play. I haven't tried to keybind anything to the extra buttons. Also you might be able to just take your mouse apart and clean out the gunk buildup from under / around the keys and it might fix your issue. I did that with the (also Steelseries) WoW Cataclysm mouse I have had for like 8 years and it helped with the wheel sticking. It fucking had cat hair in it because of course it did 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Razer also makes pretty good mice! Or at least they used to.
