How does the g502 compare to the g305 L? I didn't like the g305 and prefer the SteelSeries Rival 3 W, but maybe the g502 is a serious upgrade?

You hear a lot about Logitech mice but I didn't really like my G305 Lightspeed. Buttons felt like they had far too much travel and far too little resistance. I found myself hitting them when I didn't intend to and when I did want to hit them, sometimes I didn't press deep enough and it wouldn't click. Just my experience, maybe I bought the wrong Logitech mouse 🤷‍♂️ I've had plenty of mice in my hand, granted only a couple gaming mice, and I can't say I've liked the feel of any besides the SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless. It doesn't feel perfect, and I'm still looking for something that does feel perfect, but until I find an option around this price point, I'm going to keep buying these. I drove my first one straight into the grave with an absurd amount of hours. Straight-up unemployed type hours. I'm now on my second and I still like it. It works, it's cheap, and the software is functional 🤷‍♂️ Can't ask for much more than that imo Edit: Fun fact, I actually use an Elite Series 2 in my left hand for movement, instead of a keyboard lol. (No I don't get assist)

Idk about the wired one, but I had a rival 3 wireless and it kinda sucked. The feel was ok, but with the batteries inside it was heavy and the batteries didn't last very long, and the software for it didn't work well.

anything under 90 grams is perfectly fine unless you pure fingertip. shape matters but you don’t need a “perfect” shape, if it’s not uncomfortable you have no excuse to aim like shit literally anything post 3310 is perfectly fine, 1khz is perfectly fine, if you say you feel a huge difference you ARE schitzo lamzu thorn user btw swapped back to a rival 3 wireless recently and my aim was at the same level a couple of hours later.

Great review! Got mine about a week ago and I love it too. I must admit I'm not a PC gamer--I just prefer gaming mice for work. My knowledge of gaming mice is also pretty limited (I gained most of my knowledge by browsing around on this sub). As such, my experience only extends to the mice I've owned, which includes the SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless I used at home, and the Logitech G603 I used in the office. Over time, I realised that the ambi, somewhat low-volume shape of the Rival 3 Wireless just wasn't for me. Moreover, I was getting pretty sub-standard battery life out of mine. After a bunch of reading and a few days spent on eloshapes in the depths of analysis paralysis, I bought an Incott G24 with the 8K dongle for $42. Yes, I don't need the 8K at all, but that's the package that was available on Taobao (I live in Asia). Made the swap for silent switches as soon as it arrived, and now I'm a real happy camper. I'm a palm gripper with 19.5cm x 11cm hands, and I personally don't find it to be too small for me. I understand it's not the lightest mouse by current standards, but 67g is still a massive improvement when coming from a \~100g mouse.

If these two mice are your only choice get the rival 3 wireless gen 2 it has 2.4ghz and Bluetooth feature while the g305 only has 2.4ghz mode and also has a better battery life. The rival 3 gen 2 is bigger than the g305.

I used to have an expensive rival which broke relatively easily. Downgraded to rival 3 wireless recently and within a month I can't take it anymore. It disconnects from the pc constantly with minimal interference, buying batteries is a hassle and costs more than it's worth. I turned off the garbage RGB but when it was on it would light up like a christmas tree every two seconds to let you know the battery remaining which was fucking annoying too. Inexpensive and solid design but man it's a shit mouse.

The design has already been done for other mice that weren't advertised as ambidextrous, so it might get confusing for some people to suddenly call designs that are symmetrical but not have the "waist" as ambidextrous too. Cases in point: Logitech G305, Razer Orochi V2, SteelSeries Rival 3, Corsair M75. Currently the term ambidextrous mouse refers to mice with the concave thumbrests on both sides. >What are your thoughts on this? I’d love to hear other opinions. Stop looking at the marketing material terminology and look at the picture of the mouse and the measured dimensions to know if you'd like the shape.

I recently got the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro and comparing your hand placement our hands are almost exactly the same size - it works perfectly well for me. One difference, the second/third picture your 3rd finger folding down by the side of the mouse feels very un natural for me so it may simply be how you grip the mouse. I dont know if they still make it anymore but I used to use the Steelseries Rival (3 I think) and that was slightly bigger than any other mainstream mouse I've used.

Not a single budget SteelSeries mouse? Interesting. Imo the Rival 3 or Prime/Prime+ is tough to beat for $20-30 and that's pretty much all most would need even for high rank FPS eSports. Rival 3 alone is sufficient, but afaik Prime is like better version of Rival 3 with better build, sensor and magnetic switches for same price or lower price than Rival 3.

It's all dependent but on your grip and size. I also claw and prefer a smaller mouse, and my hand fits a "medium" plastic glove snugly, so I think it's on the small-medium range. That said, the two mice I've been very satisfied with are Steel series Rival 3, and Razer Viper Mini. Try to give them a shot, might work for you.

Hi i use rival3 as my daily and im left handed and i wanted to make an upgrade for literally months, but i couldnt find a good mouse, after googling i found pulsar and their x2a which i wanted to get but yesterday i found on twitter that pulsar is cooking new generation of their mouses and with them there will be x3 left handed. Now everything is colorfull and beautiful, i will get new mouse and it should be actually good BUT i never had asymmetric and such a huge mouse(i always has small symetric mouses lige g203, rival3). I am worried that i will be too big (even the Mini size) or the asymmetric ass will hurt me instead of helping. And now i ask for help, should i get the lhd or maybe new pulsar x2a v3 since its symmetrical?

I use a steel series rival 3. I find there’s enough buttons for item slots and is VERY versatile. (I play many other games aswell. Cs2, dayz etc and it works great. For me too many buttons just feels weird. It’s great for games like WoW and stuff, but IMO if you play games like Dota, you don’t need that many buttons. Plus, the rival 3 is cheap! But it does come down to preference. I think steel series make solid hardware and long lasting

Currently considering the g502, it’s the closest thing to what I’m looking for. Sniper button is not a necessity, just a good feature. I bought a wired rival 3 last summer, but simply not satisfied by how it feel. And finally for Naga, it looks a bit small but if I can find it in a store I will definitely try it. You said newer models are bad, do you mean the new m65 models (m65 elite and m65 ultra) or other corsair models? What differences have you found between them?

We have the same problem. I’ve posted asking for help in other mouse subreddits and either get no help, or told to deal with it. I really hope this gets traction and there are some actual solutions in the comments. Best mouse I’ve ever used for hand comfort was the Steel Series Rival 3 but that was still too small. Currently using a G pro superlight and I have a 3D printer so I’ve thought about modelling some extension to go on the back but I can’t find any 3D models of the mouse to use as a reference point.

i've used the g502 hero (eventually had right click issues), razer deathstalker adder (didn't like), razer taipan (i'm not ampidextrous but still comfortable), steelseries rival 5( had excess buttons I never used outside of for 1 or 2 games) right now im completely content with the steelseries rival 3, im right handed, have long fingers, mouse is a decent size, tad lighter then I would like but still comfy, and got it for $20 at walmart

I've been using a 50ish dollar Logitech for over a year now and I have no complaints. Uses a single AA battery that I replace like every 6 months or something. It's a gaming mouse, has a bunch of buttons and dpi settings. Works great. Before that, I owned a steelseries rival series that cost over a hundred dollars. The only thing I liked better about it was that it was heavier and had weighted plates in it. But it was wired and I got tired of it as well.

Have you looked into Logitech g502 series, or the razor Naga pro, that's about as big as they get. I'm 11cm by 21 , steel series rival is pretty big too that's what I have, it's got an on board chips to store macros right on the mouse. Also try a claw grip, helps alot with big hands.

Damn dude your hands are massive, maybe even bigger than mine. Ill give you the list of all of the mice I've tried. 1. Steel Series Aerox 5 - probably my favorite but it is expensive, I don't particularly like the software, It had an issue where it would disconnect randomly sometimes, and after a few years the scroll wheel stopped working. But the weight and button configuration are what are great about this one. It also has a comfortable shape for big hands. 2. Pulsar xlite v4 large - great mouse, great shape, i can almost palm it, I can if im feeling lazy, wide enough for a comfy finger tip grip that large hands pretty much have to use. I wish it had more side buttons but this is my current mouse that i replaced the Aerox with and I love it. I whole heartedly recommend giving this one a try. It has a simple software that just does what its supposed to and nothing else. The software also doesnt need to be running all the time. 3. Mionix Naos Pro - its almost perfect, its almost what i want it to be. if it were just a little taller i would be able to palm it. I think its a solid choice for xxl hands but its just not quite there, the pulsar is far lighter and has a better shape for fingertip grip. 4. Steel series rival - solid, heavy, you can actually add weights to make it heavier. back when i used this i didnt think i would like a light mouse. over all a good mouse with a good shape for large hands. 5. Logi G604 - great mouse, i dont think they make them anymore so they are hard to find/expensive. Scroll wheel is great. Probably about as close to an mx master as your gonna get. Has the weird shape where it gets skinnier where the ring and pinky finger rest so you end up dragging or sticking out your pinky. Lots of thumb buttons, did i mention i like that. 6. Roccat kone xp air - weird shape, almost looks like a left handed mouse but its not. i really like the button configuration but the shape just makes it uncomfortable for the ring and pinky finger, side buttons arent worth an uncomfortable grip 7. Logi G900 - meh one of the first "large" mice i aquired. Its too narrow to be comfortable for xxl hands. 8. Logi G502 - dont listen to anyone who recommends this mouse, its actually not really any smaller than any of the other mice here but the button placement is verry uncomfortable for xxl large hands. I think that about covers it other than I use an mxMaster 3 at work. I would still like for these all to be a little bigger but gaming mice don't get any bigger than this that i have found. TLDR I RECCOMEND THE PULSAR XLITE V4 LARGE Edit - I've held some of the razers at the store and i didn't particularly care for them.

My very first Steelseries mouse (Rival, over 10 years old) is still working flawlessly, while three new ones have broken since (all with faulty left mouse button). The rubber grip of all four also started dissolving after a few months.... so for me personally Steelseries sadly is no option no more. Logitech has better rubber grips and similar ergonomics but the same problem with faulty switches after \~1 year. For a few years now, I'm using G502 which I have to replace every year.... which sucks but the price is acceptable and I couldn't find anything better yet.

>I keep breaking my Logitech G703 mice How are they breaking? That might be a good place to start, choosing something that is 'stronger' in the area they are breaking. I'm a bit surprised, as I have worn-through several mice (I'm a software developer and gamer, and use a mouse for hours every day for decades), but I have never had a mouse break, just worn out to the point that the finishes wear through or the clicker/scroll becomes intermittent. I have personally been happy with the SteelSeries Rival mouse I have been using for the last 7 years. I liked the Steelseries Sensei before that, but any soft-touch finish is not BIFL.
