Steelseries rival 5. Normal grid MMO mouse is too hard to push all buttons
r/MMORPG • What is your favourite MMO Mouse? ->I also have a rival and bigger hands, and it's worked for me. The weight is perfect, but I agree that it's just a smidgen too small.
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->I’ve got a rival 5, I like it a lot The extra buttons by the thumb are nice, but I don’t need an “mmo” mouse with a dozen buttons or something.
r/pcmasterrace • I analyzed the 25 most recommended gaming mice on Reddit ->Sorry google used some weird acc. I dont mean "short", I mean not really providing any support whatsoever. I switched from Rival 5 and 710 to XM2w and I had managed to use the mouse for 42 minutes before I got serious wrist cramps. IMO he would be better off with something ergonomic.
r/MouseReview • Help me out (huge hands) ->I have big hands, long fingers primarily. I do full grip as well so I needed a mouse that actually fits, not just claw grip. I use the Steelseries Rival 5 and I've been happy with it, could still be bigger but it is supported by steelseries macro engine which I use a lot.
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->Glorious Model I is a lightweight variant of the basilisk without the cool scroll wheel. Steelseries Aerox 5 and also Steelseries Rival 5 are also lower than 100g. but if you want a true ergo mouse without the thumb groove, then I need to know your hand size and also your grip style.
r/MouseReview • Looking for "ergonomic" gaming mice ->first mouse that has lasted a long time for me since back in the 2000s is the steelseries rival 5 https://steelseries.com/gaming-mice/rival-5 its 41.99 usd, not sure what that is in euro tho.
r/Warthunder • What's mouse would you recommend for the game? Budget 40€ ->I love my rival 5
r/pcmasterrace • I analyzed the 25 most recommended gaming mice on Reddit ->I think you need a steelseries rival 5
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->my first proper mouse was the Steelseries Rival 700 and after it died i moved to g502. its been 3 years with the g502 but rival 5 was the best mouse i had ever used considering i have big hands. but G502 now seems irreplaceable
r/MouseReview • Best mouse you have ever used? ->My Rival 5 had issues with its scrollwheel which apparently was pretty common, fixing it required to take the entire scroll mechanism apart and bending a plate into place. I ended up replacing it with a Logitech G305 wireless and thats been much better imo
r/pcmasterrace • I analyzed the 25 most recommended gaming mice on Reddit ->Sorry this is gonna be long response but your problem is something I have explored for a while and am passionate about lol. I agree it's pretty frustrating to find light mice with lots of buttons. I also love mice with 6+ buttons. Besides the aforementioned Aerox line (or even Rival 5) from Steelseries, there aren't a lot of options as they all start pushing 100g. An alternative is the corsair m65 which has tilt gestures, or the razer basilisk, but these mice are still 100g There are a couple things you can do to solve your problem though. One is software related, and the other is ergonomic modding related. Software can increase your binds, while modding can make mice (feel) lighter # Software: Use button shifting/layering in software to increase the number of buttons you have available. The only companies that I know of that do this is Logitech (G-shift), Razer (hypershift), Roccat (Easyshift) and fortunately your Glorious mouse (Layer Shift)! Try playing around in your glorious CORE software to enable layer shift and then you can effectively double/triple your binds # Modding: Mod your existing mouse (or one you like with lots of buttons) to improve ergonomics and grip strength. This in turn allows a stronger hold on your mouse thus making it feel lighter. This is pretty much what I did when all the mice I liked were heavy but had 8+ buttons lol For example, I too love my g600 and use it for a lot of stuff. I took it apart to solder new switches and i found out it has 2 metal plates inside to add weight (absolute blasphemy!). I took those out and it reduced the g600 by 30g, so now it's only about 100g, which is pretty light by my personal standards. Then I added grip tape to the sides and a wedge for my pinky, then switched out the stock cable for a paracord cable and now the g600 feels like a lightweight dream to use. Consider Clawmates by Struth Gaming for comfortable wedges to put on a mouse with lots of buttons. I use clawmates on a spatha X and razer basilisk for competitive FPS games and they feel plenty good to flick and track with, even with their heavy weights Hopefully all this info helps. Happy mouse searching/modding, pal! #
r/MouseReview • 8+ button Lightweight mouse for FPS recommendations? ->Everything would be better than rival 3 over and over again oh and sometimes rival 5/9 with a different color
r/MouseReview • Corsair Sabre v2 Pro - 3950, 36g, 8khz(doubt) ->most are going to say naga, but I use the steel series rival 5. It works well for me since I play FPS games also. The side buttons 4 or so gets the job done on keybinds that I need
r/MMORPG • Gaming Mouse recommendations for MMOs? ->When I read your post, I thought I typed it myself! The exact same thing happened to me, it's always an issue with the scroll wheel. Also my AW510K keyboard sometimes types double letters. I gave up on Dell accessories and switched to a SeelSeries Rival 5 mouse and APEX 7 TKL keyboard and 0 issues for 8 months now. I would've loved for Alienware accessories to work and last as I love the Alienware brand and not having to install a separate utility for the accessories but it is what it is.
r/Alienware • Is there an Alienware Gaming Mouse that lasts? ->i've used the g502 hero (eventually had right click issues), razer deathstalker adder (didn't like), razer taipan (i'm not ampidextrous but still comfortable), steelseries rival 5( had excess buttons I never used outside of for 1 or 2 games) right now im completely content with the steelseries rival 3, im right handed, have long fingers, mouse is a decent size, tad lighter then I would like but still comfy, and got it for $20 at walmart
r/pcmasterrace • I analyzed the 25 most recommended gaming mice on Reddit ->I've been using a 50ish dollar Logitech for over a year now and I have no complaints. Uses a single AA battery that I replace like every 6 months or something. It's a gaming mouse, has a bunch of buttons and dpi settings. Works great. Before that, I owned a steelseries rival series that cost over a hundred dollars. The only thing I liked better about it was that it was heavier and had weighted plates in it. But it was wired and I got tired of it as well.
r/buildapc • I'm looking for a gaming mouse under 100$ ->Have you looked into Logitech g502 series, or the razor Naga pro, that's about as big as they get. I'm 11cm by 21 , steel series rival is pretty big too that's what I have, it's got an on board chips to store macros right on the mouse. Also try a claw grip, helps alot with big hands.
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->Damn dude your hands are massive, maybe even bigger than mine. Ill give you the list of all of the mice I've tried. 1. Steel Series Aerox 5 - probably my favorite but it is expensive, I don't particularly like the software, It had an issue where it would disconnect randomly sometimes, and after a few years the scroll wheel stopped working. But the weight and button configuration are what are great about this one. It also has a comfortable shape for big hands. 2. Pulsar xlite v4 large - great mouse, great shape, i can almost palm it, I can if im feeling lazy, wide enough for a comfy finger tip grip that large hands pretty much have to use. I wish it had more side buttons but this is my current mouse that i replaced the Aerox with and I love it. I whole heartedly recommend giving this one a try. It has a simple software that just does what its supposed to and nothing else. The software also doesnt need to be running all the time. 3. Mionix Naos Pro - its almost perfect, its almost what i want it to be. if it were just a little taller i would be able to palm it. I think its a solid choice for xxl hands but its just not quite there, the pulsar is far lighter and has a better shape for fingertip grip. 4. Steel series rival - solid, heavy, you can actually add weights to make it heavier. back when i used this i didnt think i would like a light mouse. over all a good mouse with a good shape for large hands. 5. Logi G604 - great mouse, i dont think they make them anymore so they are hard to find/expensive. Scroll wheel is great. Probably about as close to an mx master as your gonna get. Has the weird shape where it gets skinnier where the ring and pinky finger rest so you end up dragging or sticking out your pinky. Lots of thumb buttons, did i mention i like that. 6. Roccat kone xp air - weird shape, almost looks like a left handed mouse but its not. i really like the button configuration but the shape just makes it uncomfortable for the ring and pinky finger, side buttons arent worth an uncomfortable grip 7. Logi G900 - meh one of the first "large" mice i aquired. Its too narrow to be comfortable for xxl hands. 8. Logi G502 - dont listen to anyone who recommends this mouse, its actually not really any smaller than any of the other mice here but the button placement is verry uncomfortable for xxl large hands. I think that about covers it other than I use an mxMaster 3 at work. I would still like for these all to be a little bigger but gaming mice don't get any bigger than this that i have found. TLDR I RECCOMEND THE PULSAR XLITE V4 LARGE Edit - I've held some of the razers at the store and i didn't particularly care for them.
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->My very first Steelseries mouse (Rival, over 10 years old) is still working flawlessly, while three new ones have broken since (all with faulty left mouse button). The rubber grip of all four also started dissolving after a few months.... so for me personally Steelseries sadly is no option no more. Logitech has better rubber grips and similar ergonomics but the same problem with faulty switches after \~1 year. For a few years now, I'm using G502 which I have to replace every year.... which sucks but the price is acceptable and I couldn't find anything better yet.
r/blackdesertonline • Which mouse do you use for BDO and what is your recommendation? ->Mentioned it here before: The biggest in game improvement came when I switched from an MX518 to the og Rival (inkl. cheating accusations). I wish SteelSeries would stop producing garbage and revive this shape with decent tech. Chasing this high ever since.
r/MouseReview • Best mouse you have ever used? ->Steelseries Rival, don’t worry. I’ll always love you, even if nobody else does, lmao.
r/pcmasterrace • The 25 most recommended gaming mouse according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jun 2025) ->I would never buy a hyperx mouse again. Mine was just crap. I lasted about 3 months before I swapped back to my ss rival.
r/cs2 • Which is the best for cs 2 ->>I keep breaking my Logitech G703 mice How are they breaking? That might be a good place to start, choosing something that is 'stronger' in the area they are breaking. I'm a bit surprised, as I have worn-through several mice (I'm a software developer and gamer, and use a mouse for hours every day for decades), but I have never had a mouse break, just worn out to the point that the finishes wear through or the clicker/scroll becomes intermittent. I have personally been happy with the SteelSeries Rival mouse I have been using for the last 7 years. I liked the Steelseries Sensei before that, but any soft-touch finish is not BIFL.
r/BuyItForLife • Looking for a sturdy long lasting gaming mouse ->Logitech mx518 then a steelseries rival
r/MouseReview • What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->had to switch my rival for a g502 because the plastic on the side was eaten then after 2 monts or so i bought back the newer version of the rival
r/MouseReview • What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->It took me a long time to get off the naga. Do you ever consider the lightweight mmo mouse from steel series? I bought one and it’s actually not bad.
