Based on 1 year's data from Mar 8, 2026 How it works
It really was such a good mouse. Lasted like 8 years for me before I went for a Steelseries Rival 500 which was the closest I could find in button configuration. But now that's discontinued too...
Steelseries rival 500. All the buttons were in confidante spots, it was heavy, the tactile motors were great and responsive. The mouse wheel tilt and the thumb buttons with the locks were fast, i could switch profiles based on what program was open and change it based on my needs. I miss that mouse and truly hate steelseries for for not making it anymore.
Rival 500 so good, I really hope they make a new one eventually
If you can find a SteelSeries Rival 500, that would be my suggestion. It's my daily driver still, and is pleasantly wide (just like me). They're not made new anymore, so this might be an eBay/secondary market find though.
SteelSeries rival 500 with its 16 or so buttons. Layout is comfortable and it’s not just buttons slapped on the side. Multiple top middle, thumb groove. Was advertised as moba/mmo and it’s awesome for those games as well as fps games. My gripe is I’ve got 2 both well used and they no longer make or sell them. The new rival 5 is nothing like it and I cannot seem to find anything similar to it when mine both finally die. Edit: to add I think this mouse was one of my top replacements when looking so I ought be joining the lovers of it here. Let’s see how many months/years I have left on my current.
Rog Sparta. Owned mine for over a year and I like it a lot. I needed something to replace my Rival 500, aka the best mouse ever made.
Steelseries Rival 500 had it for like 8 years but sadly was too worn down and starting to fail, but the ergonomics are so good for mmos because the different shape and position of the buttons makes It easier to remember which skill to use. https://preview.redd.it/8ejzqke1pjve1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7df31c2cccaad88e424d1b9db9bdd77bdb3f09ef
Also it has macros and vibration motor, so you can set it to vibrate like a console controller when a cooldown is over or stuff like that lol.
steelseries rival 500. the bastards discontinued it... 😡
I was a long time g604 user, switched to SS Rival 500 which was amazing but also then discontinued. I am now using logi g502 SE and its the best that I could find for that task
peak (swiftpoint z2) mentioned! other than this, i also own steelseries rival 500, EVGA x15 (and while its mainstream, cant forget the og Logitech g502). Runner up that id love to own is the godawful abomination Elecom M-dux70bk. Theres also a really nice DIY open source mouse, called lynxware im primarily an mmo mouse enjoyer so weights and size doesnt matter to me
