Corsair RGB gaming mouse. I’m on my second one (I dropped the other one and broke a button) and I love it! It has 3 buttons you press with your thumb and two for you index finger, not including L and R, and two buttons below the scroller. All of these are programmable so you can assign whatever key you want them to be. It’s a great mouse. The only better one I’ve found is the Cataclysm gaming mouse. It was colored like Deathwing - it’s no longer available, unless you want to spend like $300+ on it, from resellers.
r/wow • Best mouse for WoW with side buttons? ->Current mice are all the same boring concepts; safe, but boring. Bring back fun mice and crazy shapes. I love stuff like the Redragon M908. Roccat Swarm randomly telling me I've clicked 1000 times and scaring the shit out of me? Bring it on! The Mad Catz Bat 6+ looks like an old school batmobile and I love it! I used to have a small collection of super gimmicky mice that I loved. Now it's like "well this one's .3mm taller and 2grams heavier." YAWN! Give me the old WoW Cataclysm SteelSeries MMO mouse with 3 different left and right clicks, a pinky rest, a ring finger button and 5 thumb buttons!
r/MouseReview • What take on mice will have you like this? ->I had the cata version but the coating melted off. Guess my hands were too acidic.
r/wow • I Restored My 2009 World of Warcraft MMO Mouse ->Thank you! I remember having one but couldn’t recall why I had stopped, your comment reminded me of the cord at usb being finicky if it wasn’t in just the right position. Great mouse before that point. Replaced with a Naga, and so began my Synapse headaches, I miss that Cata mouse.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I used the Cataclysm Steelseries WoW mouse for like seven years. I had a funeral for it when I finally broke through the plastic. Best mouse I ever have ever used.
r/wow • Best mouse ever? ->The lower left was the WotLK Steelseries WoW mouse. I liked it, but there was some awkwardness. The Cataclysm edition was incredible, though, and myself and several friends swear by it being the best MMO mouse we’ve ever used. It didn’t have the odd button grid of “mmo” mice, but buttons that felt natural to click and flick. It was also massive, and we all had big hands that fit perfectly on the thing. I had two of them over the years, and Frankensteined them when they had both given out. In total, they lasted me about 9 years. They released other WoW mice, but they always tried to change up the placement of buttons and the shape. Nothing was ever quite as good as the Cataclysm mouse to me. After years of Nagas and G600s and other mice, I’ve arrived right back at Steelseries. I’m currently using the Aerox 9 WoW edition, and I like it better than all of those other grid based mice because the buttons are skewed instead of being a very uniform grid. My sister had the ZBoard. That thing was a mess. It was not a good keyboard at all. It still works, wherever it is. She retired it because it was trash.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I still have the cataclysm mouse connected to my desktop as a backup. Only issue it has is the scroll wheel doesn’t work smoothly any more.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had the cataclysm mouse. It was great.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had the cataclysm mouse and introduced me to the sidebuttons which I now cannot go without
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had this mouse in like 2010 or 11 it was that cataclysm edition. I used that brand of mouse for years, but the wheel click would always break on the thing, so I had to keep replacing it. Eventually, I switched to logitech G600 and I haven't had to replace it yet.
r/wow • Best mouse ever? ->+1 on the cataclysm edition of the mouse, without a doubt the best mouse I’ve ever had. Lasted 3-4 years until the cord started acting out :(
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->Ugh i miss that cataclysm mouse so much. The double buttons by the scroll wheel was so clutch. Nobody else makes them that way and its so disappointing
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->The SteelSeries WotLK mouse was poorly constructed. It typically didn’t last long and even if it did the paint wore off. My wife and I both had one and hers died before mine, mine barely made it through WotLK. I took a chance on their Cata mouse and I still have it. It still looks great, although the scroll mouse button doesn’t click anymore because of too much Valheim. The button placement and size (I have bigger hands) just feels so great, I’ve been thinking about trying to design and 3D print something similar.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->Nothing else worked as good for my big hands as the wow cataclysm mouse did. I wish they would start releasing those again.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I prefer the warcraft steel series mouse. After so much use, I'm going to need a replacement... I wish steel series would have released a 20th/30th anniversary mouse so I won't have to pay eBay prices for a new one.
r/wow • Best mouse ever? ->I still use the steelsseries 14 button mouse. Last night, button 4 stoped operating so now I have to tear it open. I would love for these mice to make a comeback
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I still got my limited edition cataclysm mouse its so dumb things so big hurts ur hand using it lol
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->The SteelSeries wow cataclysm mouse that looked like Deathwing. First introduced me to side buttons and now I cant have anything less than the Razer naga 12 side button layout because of how much you can do with it. Wish they made a lightweight moue with the 12 buttons in the same exact layout.
r/MouseReview • What was your first "official" gaming mouse? ->I have that cataclysm mouse still, would sell it for the right price since I've moved on to other genres.
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->Same on the Cata mouse, if they were to resurrect it I'd probably buy like five. I'm using the ROG Spatha X now, which is the best mouse I've used since.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->yeah had the steel series cataclysm mouse it was great had to sell it
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->i had that headset (broke when i knocked it off my desk) the deathwing cata steelseries mouse (used it till the plastic was worn down to white from years of use best mouse i ever had really though currently using a redragon naga clone) god that keyboard was shiite but used it for a couple years, the concept was interesting but underutilised. the macro buttons for communications could be a lifesaver in bgs back in cata/mop
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->It's the Steelseries wow cataclysm mouse. Modeled after deathwing. Five buttons on thumb, one on right side and 5 on top on the left/right of the clicks, and a decent size one below the mouse wheel. It was fantastic and amazing, I've known anyone who didn't adore it. Thing was fat too, very ergonomic for my hand size
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->It was truly perfect. I don't understand why companies insist if the 3x4 grid for the thumb where people constantly press unintended buttons. Spread them all out and it's much more instinct than thought, which is ideal
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->Best mouse I ever used was the wow cata Steelers mouse. It bothers me that nothing close to it exists. I loved the trigger buttons on the right side of the mouse, it’s so hard to find any mouse that has additional buttons on the right side
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->Another vote for the Cataclysm mouse. My husband and I went thru 4 or 5 between us and they lasted forever. Steelseries second best mouse was the Rival 500 which they stupidly retired as well. It is what I am currently using and I have a new in box one waiting for whenever this one craps out. I wish Steelseries kept the unique MMO layouts as it set them apart from all the other company’s that use the 12 button thumb jungle like the Razer Naga…
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had every single one of these. The steelseries shift was the best keyboard I ever had. I loved that thing. The cataclysm mouse was super comfy, i had 3 of them. Scrollwheel was the first to break every time. The paint on the back also always flaked off after a while. I ditched it because of the scroll wheel issues. Miss it sometimes, it was really comfy.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I use a Red dragon wired mmo mouse aswell. Quality is fine in price/balance. Used to have a steelseries WoW (Deathwing look) mmo mouse before from cata to mid legion but mouse wheel broke some day(does Not work at All anymore just spin) ,then took a break from mid legion up to end s4 of dragonflight and had to buy a new mouse. Chosed the Red dragon because i dont pay 100 bucks for a mouse .. paid 40 and it is a good choice for that
r/wow • What MMO mouse would you Recommend for WoW? ->I used to use (and still have) better version of the mouse. Cataclysm WOW mmo mouse. Almost the best one I ever used. After nearly 2 years of use RMB died. It being still on warranty - which I claimed - so after sending it I got brand new one as replacement. After another 2 years of use, roll/MMB died. On top of paint and rubber parts coming off here and there. Both main buttons also were wonky. Now it sits in the box, a memento of sorts.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had the Cataclysm mouse. The left button stopped working but I repaired it. I was rather proud of myself. It eventually got a short in the wire and stopped working completely. RIP.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->The cataclysm deathwing mouse was the best mouse I've ever had.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->Cata mouse was great, byt on the heavy side. I tried to convert my frie'ds who were playing too but they did not like the weight. I transited to G502, not as much buttons but enough to have a good replacement.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had the cataclysm mouse, it was pretty neat. Until it stopped working
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had that cataclysm mouse for the longest time before I ran it into the ground. That mouse was top tier for the time. I couldn’t convince my mom to get me the wrath keyboard though. 😅
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I 100% agree. The buttons to the left and right of the scroll wheel were OP
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->This is the best mouse. The buttons next to the scroll wheel were nice to have.
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->I had the headset and the Cataclysm mouse. Good gear quality. They lasted years before I had to replace them.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->A long time ago there was a world of warcraft cataclysm mouse, which was absolutely massive and had a keypad on its side. I miss that thing, most comfortable mouse I ever used. Wish I still had it.
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->I used the original Wow mouse, and have used the Cataclysm version for years now.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I have very large hands. I used to have the WoW cataclysm mouse, still the best mouse I’ve ever had. Nothing compares to the size and comfort of that. Sadly it’s impossible to find a new one where I live, and the few second-hand ones are ridiculously expensive. So also using the scimitar now, great mouse too
r/pcmasterrace • Help for a mouse that fits my hand ->The cataclysm gaming mouse was my favorite mouse ever. I've been chasing that dragon ever since and nothing comes close.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->Aside from the Razer Naga, the cataclysm mouse was my second favorite mouse ever. I loved that thing and it looked great with my Alienware laptop
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I used to have the SteelSeries cataclysm mouse. I used that thing for years
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->And another vote for the cata mouse from me!
Hands down the best wow mouse i've ever used and was still using it until a couple years ago until it finally let out its last breath (the button positions, weight and shape were amazing - that pinky button for map was
I had the cataclysm mouse. It was the only one big enough to make me rest my entire hand on without having to claw grip I still miss it, no one makes a mouse of that size anymore.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->The first Stewl Series WoW mouse was the best. I still can't find a mouse that good anywhere.
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I had two different wow mouse’s, mice? Whatever. This one pictured and the cataclysm one. Both were Steel series, iirc. Edit: Bottom left picture, just realized there were two
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->Obviously hand size is different for everyone, but like many others have said, the G600 is pretty damn nice and comfy. I also like the Razer Naga and am currently using the Steelseries WoW mouse and love it. Those 3 are about it for me as far as "MMO" mice are concerned ;D Good luck!
r/wow • Best mouse for WoW with side buttons? ->Missing the GOAT imo. Have had: Intellimouse v3 Razer Habu Razer Lachesis Random weird cheap one Logitech MX600 Other weird cheap one Steelseries Wow mouse 1 & 2. Logitech G700, G700s, G700s (previous GOAT imo) Logitech G502's (a good few) Roccat Kone XP Roccat Kone XP is THE absolute greatest mouse that's ever existed. It's Roccat's "Swan Song". The last mouse made under their brand before Turtle Beach fully absorbed them and the Roccat branding pretty much disappeared. It's absolutely the best thing ever created as a mouse. Even the "gimmicky" thumb "shift switch" is perfectly placed/balanced to double up keys available. Uses optical switches so there's none of the "logitech/omron microswitch plate inside fades with time" issues. The G502 is a VERY VERY good mouse. The Kone XP is absolutely better in every meaningful way. Still exists, now under turtle beach branding. TB absolutely suck donkey balls, I'd buy a TB branded one if either of the Kone XP's I have died. It's light, a TINY bit wider than the G502, similar weight/size/shape otherwise. It being Roccat, I think most folks missed it. They had typical German levels of good engineering, their software was terrible. TB coming in sorted the software. If they haven't messed with/cheapened the internals, still utterly peerless imo.
r/pcmasterrace • The 25 most recommended gaming mouse according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jun 2025) ->I remember getting a, can't remember if it was the one in the picture, WoW skinned, Steelseries mouse and it was a terrible experience. Got it home, installed the software, said yes to the updates, had to say yes to a firmware update and then it wouldn't connect back to the computer. Had an argument with their support because I didn't want to try and fix a brand new, self bricking piece of kit and eventually got a refund. Fuck them guys
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I have found it to be very comfortable. Much better than the naga v2 I had before.
r/wow • The box for the SteelSeries World of Warcraft mouse has an ESRB M rating ->Also, the mouse is very uncomfortable and slips in your hand while trying to hit the side buttons.
r/wow • The box for the SteelSeries World of Warcraft mouse has an ESRB M rating ->How do you hold it? The wow logo on the rear rubs your palm and the lack of texture or decent indent on the right side makes gripping a chore.
r/wow • The box for the SteelSeries World of Warcraft mouse has an ESRB M rating ->I love this mouse
r/wow • The box for the SteelSeries World of Warcraft mouse has an ESRB M rating ->I have used the mouse since I bought it and have never had those thoughts idk
r/wow • The box for the SteelSeries World of Warcraft mouse has an ESRB M rating ->I always wanted the wrath keyboard and mouse. I got the new steel series wow mouse thats tww thrmed. Its pretty good
r/wow • My wife was sharing some of the old peripherals her mom used while playing WoW and we found them online.. anyone else had/have these? ->I still use the original Steelseries WoW mouse, im on my 3rd one and have a backup in a drawer that I paid something like $250 for, no other mouse works as well for me, my brain is adapted to having all of my buttons on the mouse. I have tried the ones with all of the buttons on the thumb, but I just don't have small or agile enough thumbs to make it work, I don't know what the hell I will do when it is no longer possible to replace them.
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->I love my Aerox 9 wow version. All of the problems that were experienced with the normal mouse with holes in it, has been gone ever since I switched to the wow version.
r/wow • Ideal mouse for playing WoW ->was that the one from steelseries? I had that mouse to! I now have the Aerox 9 mmo mouse...
r/wow • I Restored My 2009 World of Warcraft MMO Mouse ->I liked the mouse but the software was so infuriating and my settings/binds were constantly resetting. So I got the steelseries MMO mouse. Software is way better. I like the mouse a good deal. Only thing is I have small fingers so it took me some getting use to for a few of the buttons. The only negative reviews I saw were for people with the same issue.
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->I highly recommend the steelseries mmo mouse, the thumb buttons are in my opinion the best options and the grip/cooling means your don’t sweatily slide around which healing arena (the most sweaty of all wow play)
r/wow • What MMO mouse would you Recommend for WoW? ->I have been using an MMO mouse for longer than I can remember. My first one was a SteelSeries, since then I've been through a couple of Corsair Scimitars and Razer Nagas. I tried a Logitech G600 but it was AWFUL and I got rid of it asap. I also do not use a keyboard to play, I use a Razer Tartarus V2 keypad. Both the mouse and the keypad took me a few days to get a hang of, really it all depends on whether or not your keybinds are comfortable for the peripheral. If you are having a terrible time, rethink what you have bound and where. Practice. Hit the target dummy until it all comes naturally. I couldn't play this game without the MMO mouse or the keypad, but if despite practice you can't get into it, that's fine too. I probably would struggle to play with a controller if I had to switch to it now.
