Eh it depends. I finally switched off my laser mouse in like 2020 and did some aimlabs to test the difference between all the different mice I ordered to find the best shape and the one I ended up switching to (mz1) had a negligible difference over my laser mouse But then again my laser mouse was the g9x which is the best shape ever made so that might be cheating I wouldn't call myself a great aimer, like I'm probably more accurate than 95% of gamers that use a mouse but not probably not good enough to be considered good to people that actually train aiming. I've played competitive in multiple genres (including with the laser mouse) but not in fps and I consider my strengths to be other things than accuracy. Still was competitive in fps games they just weren't my main genre and only really in games that had movement mechanics and not tac fps which I couldn't ever really get into

You don't need to rest your palm on the back of the mouse. I have slightly bigger hands than you and prefer small mice, I rest the base of my fingers (where the fingers meet the palm) on the back of the mouse What does the other side of your grip look like? Are your ring and pinky fingers completely straight and up against the side of the mouse or do you curl them and just have contact with the tips? If it's the latter, then yeah you have relaxed claw. If it's the former then there's no real name for the grip, but I've heard it called a hybrid between relaxed claw and fingertip If you do rest your ring and pinky fingers up against the side of the mouse, I recommend a shape that has an actual completely flat right side to hold your fingers against. Almost all mice have either a bump on the back that points outwards or they curve inward in the middle of the side, both of which you don't realize how uncomfortable they are until you use a flat right side (only if you do keep your fingers flat against the side tho). Some recommendations for that are xtrfy mz1, Asus rog strix impact 3 wireless, and the Logitech g304 shape so the upcoming g304x or mchose g3 Edit: for reference here is my grip with the mz1 (very small mouse). Yours looks the same from the same angle but obviously can't see where you put your ring and pinky fingers https://imgur.com/gallery/ezqUk9S

You can find the Xtrify MZ1 wired on Amazon for like $30. Its the mouse that convinced me F-tip grip was worth trying. Its a bit older and heavier, and imo requires BeardedBob's non-destructive weight reduction mod to fix the balancing. Edit: to find out how, search "MZ1 wired teardown BeardedBob" If you like it though, it'd be an easy direct upgrade path to the Fenrir series since they share a lot in common in terms of shape like the grooved mouse buttons

I also have large hands and have a hybrid grip changing from relaxed claw to fingertip to pincer claw.. currently track best with the Sony inzone mouse, it’s really good don’t sleep on it. Definitely interested in the tenz mouse but I do feel like I’ll be forced into a grip if I want to use the forward placed mouse 5 in game. Another mouse i perform really well with is the Vaxee xe. It would probably be my main mouse if I got the v2. The original is just too heavy to swap to and the clicks bottom out and grind a bit if I get heavy handed. If you haven’t tried the xe it’s great for relaxed claw if you like low buttons. The button height mushy side buttons and the terrible coating on the gpx is why I don’t try any similar button height mice ie all the ones you like. lol. My main fav mouse of all time is the Mz1 the narrowness and the deep finger grooves just feels right.. hopefully someone males banger clone.. my next mouse purchase will be the Logitech super strike to try the haptic triggers. I pray they fix the terrible coating. Take a look at the Sony inzone I highly reccomend it if you’re okay with a slightly wider mouse. The main clicks won’t be as premium as the Maya but it has the best silkiest coating of any mouse I’ve tried and I’m up there with you around 20ish mice. Cheers

I don’t even fingertip my mz1 anymore. I straight up claw it. I like the grip it gives like this

if you're OK with the fact that it's slightly outdated, the mz1 is very flat same with some of the other ftip only mice, like fenris asym, x2f..

Same grip and \~same hand size, started gaming long time ago with the first G502.. then when Logitech made G PRO (G305) shape.. I got the Prodigy one, G203 and used that for a long time. Looking for a lighter replacement I tried: \- XM1 (good shape, great coating, but slightly large, back hump too big, definitely worth trying) \- OP1 (way to narrow, not for me) \- All the Zowies, ended up using for a short time EC-3 (issue: no micro adjustments), ZA-13 (back hump too high) \- GPX 2.. not bad but for some reason can't find a good grip... also, slippery, sold. I'll try the smaller 2 C \- G303 SE, great if it wasn't so big (still use it regularly at work) but G305 has better shape. \- MZ1 awesome.. just unreliable and a liiiiitle bit too small. \- Viper Mini = No! \- G403 that hump's huge. Now trying Mchose L7 Ultra and G3 Ultra... You (me also) want a mouse small enough that let you do micro adjustments with your fingers, it also must have some support where that small palm part touch it. G305 is great at this because you can freely move the mouse, that slightly tilted sides let fingers grab it easily, and when you press it against your palm you have enough support. If I have to pick a mouse right now for the next years, shapewise G305.. Can't understand why Logitech have not yet released a superlight version and is milking with no end the GPX shape.. Think about not buying a mouse because a pro use it but buy it if it suits you, that's what counts.

The original G700 was nice in my teenage years, but isn't made anymore. So I went smaller because I couldn't go bigger. Ended up with a Cherry XTRFY MZ1. Well priced, does what it needs to do and feels comfortable after changing away from a palm grip. Only downside: the wireless version is a horrible light show while charging.

Xtrf1 mz1 , but I upgrade because of 1000hz/no optic switch for a magnésium razer viper mini signature. But to be honnest I truly want my mz1 with 8000hz/ optic switch and magnésium instead of my razer.
