Based on 1 year's data from Mar 8, 2026 How it works
Deathadder used to be my absolute favorite mouse due to size and feel as ive got some large hands. Every single one has ended up getting scroll wheel issues after a year or two. I've probably had quite a few over a decade now. I swapped over to the Zowie EC1-CW and its been the best mouse ive ever used hands down. The scroll wheel is louder and doesn't feel super smooth or anything but ive had it forever now and have never had a single issue at all. My only gripe is the finish is super smooth on it and with my sweaty hands it wasn't ideal, but I threw on a $9 set of pads for the mouse and its basically perfect. They have a new one, the EC1-DW? I think its called which is a lot lighter but same dimensions basically. If you have big hands, this thing fits like a glove imo. Can't give it high enough praise.
Tried that as well, it's too short sadly
Zowie is a solid choice! EC1 CW. I have one for sale, 🤙 hit me up.
Jumping straight into it as someone who has mained the EC series for many years now, specifically the EC1 with 20x10cm hands, its great to see Zowie doing their mice shapes justice and refining them CORRECTLY (looking at you razer DA). **SHAPE:** Starting with the most interesting aspect of the update in my opinion are the SHAPE CHANGES... Seemingly the shape has been quietly refined in the most positive way for my hands and grip style. The dimension changes on the Zowie website may seem suttle on the surface (changes in size are all under 1mm) however they do change the shape to a degree to which is noticeable in hand coming from the EC1-CW which ive used for almost 2 years now. Going into detail the mouse has generally increased slightly in width and slightly in height making the mouse supply additional support in parts of my hand (Pinky, and Base of Palm) I previously didnt get while still allowing for a pocket at the back of my palm (I use claw grip with my fingers extended to the front of the mouse). The hump to me seems to taper off slightly less towards the base remaining higher for longer or just being higher in general making for more palm contact and does offer a more prominent hump (ever so slightly) that i really appreciate. Next the right side of the mouse also offers a change in the actual shape to the front of the mouse, meaning its corners are slightly less rounded and more flat right at the top right of the mouse which for me is perfect as I my ring finger used to slant inward due to this issue on the EC1-CW, the pinky is also more supported and this is where the shape change is noticed the most, its like i lay my hand on the mouse and my hand is greeted where its at, no additional squeeze needed to tuck my pinky in anymore which I experienced on the EC1-CW, this will all be personal preference I can see some preferring the previous iteration however for myself this is an excellent refinement and amplification of what the mouse already had going for it. **Weight and QC** : Amazing weight for such a large mouse and being so well balanced it feels extremely enjoyable to use, QC is perfect on my copy as it was on my previous EC1-CW they feel as sturdy as eachother which is impressive seeing as they knocked off almost 20 Grams on the big boy. Clicks seem ever so more tactile but still light which is exactly what I would've asked for. **Performance:** 4k feels great and very responsive, never any issues with connection on Zowie mice so no complaints here either. **Overall/TLDR:** Best iteration of the EC1 there has been, shape has been refined to offer an even comfier more controllable experience, mouse feels slightly larger, which to some will actually be a negative but to me its created an even better experience truly a GEM for large hands. I believe the price was actually reduced in the UK aswell to £130 from £150 on the CW line which is also a bonus. Feel free to ask any questions :) \[UPDATE\] No longer my main, nothing wrong with the mouse per say, just still incompatible with my claw grip and large hands as my ring finger doesnt feel like its sitting on a flat panel just one thats got a rounded corner at the front that really offsets my micro adjustments like the previous EC1-CW. My 1/2 improvements to the shape would be to straighten out the front corner on the right side so it doesn't bend inward to the mouse, and next I would position the hump more toward the back, this would supply more support and height to the back of the mouse that would be perfection, changing the hump position more towards the rear would be more optimal on this shape for my claw grip.
I'll send you this video brotha only video i've seen where someone also mentions it [https://youtu.be/c22DtC4g\_Lw?t=415](https://youtu.be/c22DtC4g_Lw?t=415) and it seems to be confirmed by zowie atleast for the ec3-dw, but all ec-dw mice have shown dimension changes on the zowie website.
Get the Zowie and save yourself trying 5 different mice.
I had the same problem, have tried about 10 different mice. Zowie EC1-CW is the only mouse that will actually fill your hand. I’ve been using it for a while and the only other mouse I’ve thought about trying is the ZA13.
Very subjective question and it also depends on your grip and handsize. I’ve tested deathadder v3, superlight 2, razer viper and eventually ended up using the ec1-cw for a long time. Now switched to ec1-dw and its brilliant. I’ve got big hands though and i like a palm grip.
I've got big hands, the best mice for my hands have been the Zowie EC1-CW and the pulsar xlite v3 large. The issue with the Zowie is it's quite old tech and it's quite heavy however they're expected to release the EC1-DW soon but there's no date set on release. The pulsar mouse already has a new version, they released the Xlite V4 large, I found that to be a really decent mouse but I think that's another one where you'd need to buy the 8k polling dongle separately.
My hands are slightly smaller than yours and the G502 feels like a toy to me so ignore these suggestions, it's marginally bigger than the basilisk but for big hands it's basically identical. In reality they don't make mice for us, none of them will fill our palm so I tend to pick mice with a decently wide footprint to get a decent grip on with my fingers, the mice that have been decent to achieve this for me are: Darmoshark M3, Teevolution Terra, Zowie EC1-CW (EC1-DW is the newest version), pulsar Xlite V3 Large (V4 is the newest version). None of these will your palm because they don't fill mine but they're wider and more substantial than the G502/basilisk shape which is narrow and awkward.
Have you tried the Zowie ec1 cw ? Might still be very small for you, but it definetely is larger than most gaming mice out there
So you are not upgrading? I went from the razer to the Zowie EC1-CW and I have to say the switch was super easy for me.

I used Rival 300 and 310 for years. Nothing is close. I now use ec1-cw and xtrfy m64 (m64 is very small though). I used my rival 300 without any skates so that the friction was higher :D i got to 2.5k elo on faceit. Now im planning on buying some obsidian dot skates to make my mice glide less
EC1 Master Race 😁 I actually gifted my EC1-CW to a friend recently, when they left my team at work. Its a great mouse for many reasons. The main reason i gifted it to him was because of the dual receivers and the charging dock functionality. A good mouse for gamers and office workers too
