I find this quite strange because I share the same concerns as you, but unlike you, the curved side of the EC2 is why I always used mice based on that; IME 3.0, and then EC2 versions over the years (EC2 OG with glossy sides, EC2 Blue rubberised, and a few years ago the EC2-DW. However, I switched to the Vaxee AX O because I experienced some skipping issues with a few EC2-DW units. My Vaxee has recently given me some double-clicking issues after a year and a half, and I'm thinking what's next
I've got slightly bigger hands but ec2 is my end game. Waiting on the white gloss version
Ec1 is larger and forces a palm grip even with pretty large hands. Most people will be much better off with the ec2 and if you use relaxed claw it's much better for micro adjustments while still offering a tonne of stability. I use an ec2 with 20x11cm hands and a relaxed claw
Same hand size and but with relaxed claw grip. Really like the EC2. Ec1 forces me in to a full palm so get that if you want palm
Absolutely! Ec1 is only good for Palm gripping with 20Cm+ hands. Ec2 with any type of relaxed claw is a much better pick.
I don't think the ec1 is good for your hand side and grip. I'm the same size and like the ec2 better with a claw grip. Ec1 is comfy for full palm but always found it terrible for micro adjustments
Ec2. And nothing really. Just using the rawm er21 as zowie want too much for the DW
I've got 20x11cm hands with a very forgiving relaxed tilted claw grip. I can use anything and it's actually made picking and sticking with mice over the years tricky because it doesn't seem to matter much. However I've been on ec2 clones for the last few years now. Large mice like the ec1 offer poor agility and micro corrections for me, and really small mice seem to lack a little stability. Kovaak scores are a little better with nimble mice for me so I've settled right in the middle with medium mice. This just seems to offer the best of both stability and agility.
Zowie ec2/ec1 might just be what your looking for
I dont have particularly big hands, but for some reason ive prefered larger mouses, and have been having a great time with my Zowie ec2: [https://zowie.benq.com/en-us/mouse/ec2.html](https://zowie.benq.com/en-us/mouse/ec2.html)
The biggest difference is the shape, and its personal preference so i cant tell you which is best for you. I personally got the xlite crazylight medium because its almost a ec2 clone og the shape, which i like a lot and it comes with lower weight and better click latency. My copy has 0 issues. My picks from best to worst: xlite crazylight, ec2, e1, NP-01S Ergo, dav4
I agree 100 dollars for the er21 is too much you are correct it should be around 80. Btw noone mentioned to you yet. Your hands are not large. Slightly above average. Large would be 25cm. I have the same size hands as you and the ec2 shape is perfect. The teevolution terra was on sale around 90 euro and its shape is goated. Not sure if it still is at that price though. You can get amazing mice second hand. New 160 euro mice for 80 euro and most sellers include extra feet grips etc. Don't pay more than 100 euro for any mouse.
That size hand + a palm grip: DA, EC1 (or 2), or Vaxee Zygen NP-01S. Those will be the most comfortable IMO.
I somehow find the ec2 to be an enjoyable claw grip mouse. It’s not too big so I can really use it with any grip style. But like others have said, symmetrical is likely your best option for claw grip.
