I'm a new mouse enthusiast that was **CRAZY** enough to purchase **11 different gaming mice** so you **DON'T HAVE TO** lol. I'm writing this to conclude my hyper fixation (hopefully). **TLDR: Shape is king!** YouTube mouse reviews are helpful, but reviewers have to nitpick things that really don't matter for the average consumer/gamer. Eloshapes and RTINGS 3d Comparison are great tools, but ultimately holding a mouse in-hand is the best way to compare shapes. Mouse sensors are pretty much all great these days and click latency feels identical unless you are a pro gamer or superhuman. Don't worry about latency and sensor/click performance unless you have issues with a specific mouse. High polling rate capability should be the least important factor when deciding on a mouse IMO. 2k and above are nice to have, but anything above 4k is totally unnecessary unless you have the PC to maintain good FPS and want to. Most Valorant/CS2 pros still use 1k in actual events/matches. Also a good idea to update firmware for receiver/dongle and the mouse itself right away to minimize any known issues. **WAIT at least 1 week after buying a mouse before deciding if you want to return or keep,** your first impression of a shape is fairly reliable. However, some of these mice grew on me heavily after I gave them more use and time to find a comfortable grip style. **DON'T impulsively buy mice like I did either (hindsight is 20/20 haha). Definitely try the Scyrox V6 if you have smaller hands and didn't quite enjoy the G Pro X Superlight shape.** **Spend the least amount of money possible. More expensive mice really don't feel much better than budget options from Scyrox and other competition. Only spend a lot if you are positive that a particular shape is what you want.** Most of these mice were bought through Amazon Prime. In total I ended up returning 5 of the mice over time. I play **Valorant 99 percent** of the time. I'm a hard stuck Gold player in Valorant with around 1600 hours played on and off in the past 2 years. (hate but also love the game) My hands are on the smaller side at\*\*: 17.5cm x 9.35cm.\*\* I rotate between a relaxed claw/regular claw grip. I always keep my wrist in full contact with my mousepad. I play on fairly low sensitivity in game. For Valorant and Kovvaks between 0.23 - 0.27 at 800 dpi. These mice were all used primarily on 800 dpi FWIW. **Mousepad:** Steel Series QCK XXL Heavy (Tabletop Mousepad). Has 1 year of use so is definitely more of a control pad. I've owned the original G Pro X Superlight for the past year and was basis of comparison for all of these mice. Going to rate these mice in different categories/sub-categories. Ratings will be out of 10. If you want more detailed info about any of these mice that I can't fit below please ask in comments. # Mouse Shape Comparison: G Pro X Superlight: **5/10** Safe shape that is a decent starting point for most hand sizes larger than mine. Definitely always felt too large for my hand size in length and the sides always felt too flat and wide. Shape is not distinct enough to easily have a consistent claw grip for my preferences. To say this mouse is uncomfortable would be a lie, just not my favorite. Razer Viper V3 Pro (Returned): **6/10** Think this is a better safe recommendation for claw grip for those who have medium to large hands. Compared to the superlight this mouse felt longer but more distinct in hand than the potato shape of the GPX. Sadly mouse really not ideal for smaller hand sizes like mine but if I had larger hands I would definitely prefer to GPX. Can still make work with smaller hands but have to fight the shape more. Pulsar X2 Crazylight (Returned): **6/10** Small mouse with a low side profile and not very much palm support towards back. Felt ok for me but it left me wanting much more palm support for claw grip in back hump. Side buttons always felt too cramped above thumb on left side, wish the buttons were positioned higher up. Would be better suited for a fingertip grip than claw IMO. Pulsar X2H v3 mini (Returned): **7/10** Compared to the X2 Crazylight/X2 mini shape, this mouse felt significantly better for relaxed claw and more aggressive claw grip. The length of the shape combined with the width and bulbous hump in back makes this mouse feel decently stubby, so it wasn't as comfortable as some of these other options for longer periods of use. Definitely try **Scyrox V8** instead which is pretty much a longer version of this shape that is cheaper and has better main clicks. Ninjutso Sora V2 or Pulsar X2 Medium similar options to V8. XM2w 4k v1 (Returned): **3/10** Sadly this shape was the only mouse that I found quite uncomfortable. This shape is very wide and I would definitely not recommend to anyone with hands similar or smaller than mine. The left side of the mouse I found to be ok. On the right side I couldn't find a comfortable grip for my ring and pinky fingers with the wide front flare. The back of the mouse also felt too wide for my hands to comfortably grip. **Really consider the width and length of your hands before buying this.** Think you have to like a wide in-hand feel even if you have larger hands. Lack of any button grooves also really doesn't help for comfort. Hump of mouse does not feel super supportive despite the dimensions listing 39mm tall. The width of the hump makes it feel way shorter to me. OP1w 4k v2: **7.5/10** Highly recommend this shape for claw grip if you have small/medium hands. Feels much more comfortable and precise than the XM2 for me. From what I hear also a great fingertip grip choice for all hand sizes. Narrowness of mouse and not the most palm support make this mouse become a bit fatiguing after multiple hours of use. Still love the shape but feels like it only works for claw/fingertip for gaming/aim training. Wouldn't recommend for work/use outside of gaming. Not a safe recommendation for everyone. Unless you absolutely need the wireless version I would recommend the OP18k v2 instead since its lighter which would make a difference with how small and dense the shape is. Also is noticeably cheaper with the same build quality. Lamzu Inca (Returned then bought again): **9/10** You either love this mouse shape or hate it. Truly nothing like the Zowie ZA13 shape which this is a nearly 1:1 clone of. Perfect for all types of claw (relaxed, regular, aggressive/pincer). Shape is very supportive with a high rear hump and narrow waist on sides. If you enjoy OP1 shape but want something with much more rear palm support, this is for you. Downsides being it is basically an exclusive claw shape, you cannot palm this comfortably, maybe could fingertip with large hands. Also shape is very extreme and locked in which can sometimes feel too fatiguing or excessive when using outside of high precision gaming such as in Tactical FPS games. I actually bought this mouse twice. Returned it because I thought maybe it was too extreme but regretted and purchased a second time in a different color. If you have smaller/medium hands and want a very tailored experience for Claw grip gaming with ample palm support, definitely look here! Scyrox V6: **10/10** Wish I would have started with this mouse instead of buying everything else. I can safely recommend this shape to anyone who wants a smaller ambi mouse with ample palm support. It feels like a great blend between many different mice I reviewed here. Less extreme than the Inca which makes it suitable for palm grip to some extent or just a more relaxed claw. Feels like this is what the superlight should have been for me originally. If you have smaller hands than mine, I would recommend looking into the original shape this is based on, the G-Wolves Hati/HTS plus. The length of that mouse is a bit shorter but frankly I don't think the V6 is long enough to be uncomfortable for truly small hands. Zowie S2-DW (Returned): **7/10** Good fairly safe shape that feels more locked in than GPX Superlight. Mouse feels a bit too wide for longer periods of use and wish button height was lower in front. Didn't stand out amongst other options IMO. Zowie U2-DW: **8/10** Really unique shape that is great for a relaxed claw, claw, and even a hybrid palm grip. Has elements of ergonomic mice incorporated such as the inner thumb curve on the left side. Not as good overall IMO since the hump is fairly flat feeling but still gives adequate support. Also think front button height should be lower to be the most optimized for claw grip. Definitely took a few days of use to really click with the shape and find out how to grip comfortably. Razer Cobra Wired: **6/10** Had high hopes for this since I wanted something similar to Viper Mini but really feels like this mouse is designed for fingertip grip primarily, even more so than the original Viper mini. I never tried the Viper Mini but from the RTINGs 3D comparison tool and Eloshapes it looks like it is a bit narrower on the right side and has a taller hump that tapers off more abruptly on the sides. Shape just feels like its lacking a ton of palm support for my preference and grip style. Found a way to somewhat comfortably grip by adapting a palm/relaxed claw hybrid grip but overall not ideal for comfort IMO. For fingertip grip on a budget though I think its a really great option. # Mouse Coating: OP1w 4k v2: 10/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 10/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 9/10 | Zowie U2-DW: 8.5/10| Zowie S2-DW: 8/10 | Lamzu Inca: 8/10 | Scyrox V6: 7/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 7.5/10 | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 7/10 | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 7/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 4/10 (just textured plastic not rubberized like rest) # MB1/MB2 (Main Clicks): OP1w 4k v2: 10/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 10/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 7/10 | Zowie U2-DW: 8/10 | Zowie S2-DW: 8/10 | Lamzu Inca: 8.5/10 | Scyrox V6: 9/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 6/10 | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 8.5/10 | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 6/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 6/10 # Side Buttons: OP1w 4k v2: 8/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 9/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 6.5/10 | Zowie U2-DW: 10/10 | Zowie S2-DW: 8/10 | Lamzu Inca: 7.5/10 | Scyrox V6: 6/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 2/10 (god awful) | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 7.5/10 | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 8/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 5/10 # Scroll Wheel/Scroll Click: OP1w 4k v2: 8/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 8.5/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 7/10 | Zowie U2-DW: 7/10| Zowie S2-DW: 7.5/10 | Lamzu Inca: 6/10 | Scyrox V6: 5/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 2/10 (god awful) | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 10/10 | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 10/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 4/10 # Weight Density/Overall Weight Compared to Shape: OP1w 4k v2: 7/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 7.5/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 9/10 | Zowie U2-DW: 8/10| Zowie S2-DW: 6/10 | Lamzu Inca: 10/10 | Scyrox V6: 10/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 7/10 | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 10/10 ( too light for me but perfect for some) | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 7/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 6/10 # Stock Mouse Skates: OP1w 4k v2: 7/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 7.5/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 9/10 | Zowie U2-DW: 10/10 | Zowie S2-DW: 9.5/10 | Lamzu Inca: 9/10 | Scyrox V6: 7/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 6/10 | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 6.5/10 | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 6.5/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 6/10 # Software: OP1w 4k v2: 9/10 | XM2w 4k v1: 9/10 | Razer Viper V3 Pro: 3/10 (f\*ck Razer Synapse) | Zowie U2-DW: n/a | Zowie S2-DW: n/a | Lamzu Inca: 10/10 | Scyrox V6: 10/10 | G Pro X Superlight: 7/10 | Pulsar X2 Crazylight: 8/10 | Pulsar X2H v3 mini: 8/10 | Razer Cobra Wired: 3/10 (f\*ck Razer Synapse) If you made it to the end here thank you for reading!!! Basically learned a lot here and was fun but hope this can save you from making the same mistakes as me. Also there is no perfect mouse shape but I've learned you can definitely get really close to finding the right shape for you! Definitely highly recommend Lamzu and Scyrox mice, think they offer great build quality, shapes, performance, and overall value. FWIW it could be due to the great weight balance and shapes of the Lamzu Inca and Scyrox V6 but I truly feel like I am performing my best in-game and in Kovvaks using their PAW3950 sensor implementations and Omron optical switches. Every sensor was perfectly fine on all these mice reviewed with no issues. However, there does seem to be something so responsive about the Lamzu and Scyrox sensors to me.\\ Have to give huge props to Zowie though for coming up with so many of these iconic mouse shapes and also the DW series from Zowie felt the most premium of all of these options (their price reflects this though). If you love a particular Zowie shape they offer in the DW series and want a mouse that will last you forever I would say they are 100 percent worth the premium price. They feel like they could survive an explosion and the sensors felt super responsive. The click latency is slower on paper than all these other options but once again felt impossible for my Valorant Gold player skill-level to comprehend any difference in latency to the Endgame Gear OP1 or XM2 that lead the market in terms of click latency.

I just checked OP1 4K in Italy and yeah prices are messed up... its usually 120 EUR for most countries. Maya X is a fine choice but its on the bigger side, its a medium - large shape. Have you given any thought to used mice from Amazon? Zowie S2-DW, FK2-DW and U2-DW go for 100 - 110 EUR. Worst case scenario you return for a refund, its amazon.

Good for you, you can handle small or medium size mice. I can't stand using my zowie u2 for me it feels too lock in and micro adjust is not good but it's a comfy mouse for me.

Yeah gl with that I would skip the dav3 and replace it with the dav3 hyperspeed, hyperx depending on the model but currently their haste 2 wireless sucks and suffer from wireless performance, I don't have experience with Maya and x2v2, u2 I have that mouse it's slimmer than the s2 sides but overall bigger

Shape, size, wired (c wired version) and wireless (cw and dw are wireless dw being the latest wireless mice of zowie) u2-dw is a medium size Ambi mouse so I would suggest the s1-c or za11-c

Ec3-DW, Dav3 hs, Vv3p, Superlight 2c. Hand size is 19 x 10 cm and Claw grip. Main Game: Overwatch Current Rank: Master5 on tank, Master 3 on dps, Gm5 on support Main Mouse: Dav3hs Dav3 hs and vv3p are what I kept from my last collection culling, they were my favorite ergo and ambi that I tried and those two I plan to keep and never sell (Im not a razer shill I promise lol). Ec3 and gpx 2c are mice that I am still testing out atm and ultimately I will decide whether to keep or sell them. I also want to try Vaxee’s lineup (xe v2, np01s v2, E1) but I wish they sold on Amazon. Maybe one day. My last collection post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/1i01sdj/mouse_collection_pic/ Mice that I Sold: dav3 pro: too big, not unusably but was a bit unwieldy. S2-DW: was fine size-wise and shape-wise but didnt really use it over the vv3 pro. FK2-DW: too flat. i prefer a bump for stability when aiming. ZA13-DW: most unique shape I’ve tried. It was fine but I prefer the more general(?) shape of the vv3p. EC2-DW: size was fine but i preferred dav3hs. I know alot of people rave about the ec shape but it didnt do anything for me personally. xm2w 4k: I actually liked this shape but the way endgame gear handled the op1w 4k v2 malware issue (took them like 3-4 weeks to make an official statement and inform their customers) left a bad taste in my mouth so I sold it. I don’t want to support this company with my money. gpx dex: similar big size to dav3 pro but the shape and coating made it easier to grip for me. I would have no problems using this but I just prefer smaller ergos. U2-DW: claw grip mouse but I didnt like the locked in feeling it gave. rvmse: too small op1w 4k: too thin gpx2: size is fine but after years of trying to use this shape I was never able to get used to it. I only tried for so long bc so many pros use it but it just doesnt work for me.

yah haha every one except the e1-dw which I think would be too big. Ec3->ec2 for me personally. The naming is confusing because it’s not just smaller but the ec3 is wider and shorter. For me most favorite to least would be: 1. S2 2. ec3 3. za13 4. ec2 5. fk2 6. u2 Ec3 might be #1 over the S2 but I am not sure yet I need to test it more. also ec2 and fk2 might be switched but its been a while since Ive used them so I dont really remember.

As far as battery life goes, I've heard the [Maya X](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/lamzu-maya-x-black) doesn't have the best, not terrible just a bit below average in that department. But the Maya X is similar to GPX in that it accommodates almost all grip types. All the eS versions of Pulsar mice have a larger battery, so that's an option depending on your preferred shape (Xlite or X2). DAv4 they specifically aimed for better battery life, and it seems to be an upgrade in that department if you're willing to spend the money. I would say 18.5 x 9 is on the lower end of average and 19 x 9.5cm is pretty much exactly average. I have wideboi 19x12 hands for comparison, which I would still consider just upper end of average (I have to wear large-size gloves, though). It comes down to preference, though. For example, my current main, the Zowie U2-DW is a small-ish mouse and I find it quite comfortable and controllable. Alot of that comes down to shape. I can use mice with flat or curved sides, but the U2-DW's curved sides have been appealing to me recently. You could go something safe and flat like a [GPX](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/g-pro-x-superlight-wireless-gaming-mouse-black)1 (I see they're on sale MaxGaming EU), pretty much accommodates all grip styles. GPX1 used to be my main and it does have excellent battery life. But if you really do prefer palm, your choices will be limited, so I think you have the right idea with the bigger ergos. (Palm is probably the least popular grip.) I would have said the Teevolution Terra, but you said you're not a fan of the G703 shape. 1. [Pulsar's Zywoo signature](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/pulsar-zywoo-the-chosen-mouse-black) collab was made specifically for palm grip, so you could check out if that's available for you. Pulsar [Xlite](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wired-mouses/pulsar-xlite-medium-wired-white) Large like you mentioned is a good mouse. 2. I know I already mentioned the [OGM Pro v2](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/waizowl-ogm-pro-v2-8k-kanagawa-wave), but it's a legit good ergo at a good price. Chinese brand, but I trust them more than the others. 3. DAv4 is just an excellent mouse from all accounts. Could go for the smaller, cheaper version with the Hyperspeed (make sure you get the internal battery one, not the AA/AAA one if you go this route). But it's the most premium ergo out right now. DAv4 is the new hotness. [Lamzu Paro](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/lamzu-paro-aurora-white) is basically the same smaller size DA shape as the Hypespeed. 4. Zowie [EC1-DW](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/zowie-ec1-dw-black) or [EC2-DW](https://www.maxgaming.com/en/wireless-mouses/zowie-ec2-dw-black) have excellent battery life and a super convenient receiver that doubles as a charging dock. Great battery, click-feel, build quality. I freaking LOVE my Zowie. Plus you get a choice of size to tailor to your hands. Neither of you have large hands, but like you already know, for palm you go a bit larger. As far as polling rate, I think you have the right of it. 1k is still perfectly fine and 2k might be the sweet spot if you have a good enough PC to support it. Anything else drains batteries for little gain. One of the best written reviewers is pzogel at [TechPowerUp](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/?category=Mice&manufacturer=&pp=100&order=date).

19x12, knuckle claw/pincer claw/relaxed claw. Mains over the past year have been Pulsar X2H, Logi GPX, and now I'd consider the Zowie U2-DW my main. The reason being I just really have been enjoying the more curved sides on the U2-DW--I'm able to get better small movement control, which is always what I stuggle with most. Overall, just a great mouse, perfect build quality.

After 5 years down the rabbit hole I can't tell you that there even is a best mouse for FPS but I can tell you where I settled. For reference I have large hands (21 x 10.5). I have bought and used nearly 20 mice over the last 5 years. Main games are CS2 (20k elo), Valorant (immortal), The finals (diamond), Pub G and battlefield. The mouse that I have the most consistency with and best most natural feelings in hand is the zowie FK1+-C. Yes it's wired, yes it's all of 87grams, but it feels like I'm aiming with my eyes. I never worry about finger position or grip tension. It doesn't even enter into my mind. The viper V3 pro is similar but the front flair annoys me. To be clear I have performed very well on mice such as my deathadder V3 pro and vaxee np-01. I also play well on my zowie S1-C and zowie U2. The gpx was fine shape wise but the sensor skips occasionally (two separate copies). But as soon as I put my hands on the FK1+ I just knew. It's a sensation that can only be described as the absence of feeling. It just fits, I don't think about it. Is it perfect? Who knows... But it's more than good enough for me to be my best and enjoy the games I play at the level I play them at. I do wish there was a wireless version, but I'm ok with the wire for how well I perform with the mouse. Will it be perfect for you? Probably not... But I hope that you find a mouse that puts all others on eBay/market place like I have. Good luck.

What i want is mouse making my back of the palm more relax which can be made only by filling my back of the palm more than zowie s2 because i feel being wider/narrower will not make a difference since i will still squeeze mouse in tense situation and only filling slighlty can solve issue. Zowie U2 its my top consideration right now along with deathadder v3 hyperspeed but many people telling me that za13 will solve my issues based on my needs.

https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/3d-model-shape-compare/3d/benq-zowie-u2-vs.-benq-zowie-s2?texture=solid Have you thought about the Zowie U2? It's a bit of a remix on the S2 shape and it's in the same ballpark for size, I have big hands so it was too small for me but I liked it, if they make a U1 I'll probably try it

It depends what you want out of it really, it's more or less exactly the same size but it's designed as like a purpose built claw grip mouse, when I used it I loved how locked into my hand it felt but it gave me hand pain because I have huge mitts so I had to return it

Yeah I had a similar experience with the Zowie U2, I loved the mouse in every way but it was just slightly too narrow so if I played anything serious I'd have hand cramp

Skates: original stock skates for a week, then TJExclusives’ Plastix dots. # Specs and Dimensions [Pro and Ultra share the same dimensions, here compared to Zowie’s U2](https://preview.redd.it/gpyw8darwvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6d6ef14ccfc7847d56f8853c38d110da3e03950) *Bottom line? M7 Ultra is only 1mm wider and taller, shape-wise it’s almost the same. M7 features top specs with PixArt PAW3950, while U2 has the PixArt PAW3395 sensor, a well-regarded choice for wireless gaming mice but already behind the 3950 which is the go-to-sensor these days.* # In the box * Mchose M7 Ultra * braided USB-A to USB-C cable * manual * 1k dongle * dongle adapter * grip tapes * alcohol pad * 8k dongle *Bottom line? Zowie adds a pair of spare skates, additional cable to charge up the mouse (I’m not sure what for), and the 4k Enhanced Received/Charging Dock. Mchose adds grips tapes and 8k dongle is also there. I’d say it's a tie in this category.* # Shape, Grip and Weight [Bird’s eye view](https://preview.redd.it/i7yudx7vwvie1.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a455ed7e77ad38b39ae3179577fc6db643af5a9c) M7 Ultra is not a new shape in broader ecosystem of gaming mice designed for competitive gaming and esports. The shape is very similar to Zowie U2 with very small yet quite important differences. You could refer to it as an inward-curved design, which is said to be best suited for a claw grip and designed for agility and stability when lifting and resetting the mouse. However, I wouldn’t say it’s unique — one of my main mice, Rapoo VT1 Max, feel surprisingly familiar to M7 Ultra in hand, even though the specs comparison shows different. Mchose mouse has a deeper thumb placement position and is slightly harder to move up/down with your fingers (because it’s longer and locks a bit better in your palm). The Mchose M7 Ultra is 1 mm wider where you grip it and 1 mm higher where the hump is. That makes a difference to me — U2 is a bit too thin and narrow for my hands, making my hand a bit cramped in the longer gaming sessions. This is where M7 Ultra comes in and makes my grip more comfortable and stable. Also, M7 Ultra feels a bit bigger and more locked in hand, even though it’s just 1 mm difference in two parameters. Compared to 61 grams from Zowie U2 and being a bit bigger in dimensions, M7 Ultra feels really lighter in hand, less dense as well. U2 feels like a brick where the whole weight is packed in, as if all void spaces inside were filled to the last atom. M7 Ultra’s weight is not only smaller but also you really feel the difference, even though it’s just 5–6 grams. How come? The weight in M7 Ultra is distributed better, making it feel way lighter that it actually is. That makes a difference. The mouse is also well-balanced, so no complaints here. *Bottom line? Mchose edges Zowie in this category.* # Build Quality and Coating The Mchose M7 Ultra presents a subtle, understated design with a matte orange plastic body. There are black accents on the mouse hump and right side indicating the Mchose logo, on/off switch and DPI button underneath, alongside a dongle compartment (very handy but you won’t have to use it because you will probably get the 8k receiver) and a LED to indicate the DPI level (top middle hump). The side buttons are matte black plastic, and the scroll wheel has a black/white plastic build with a rubberized coating for better grip. Mchose build quality is good overall — usually, there’s no rattling, no wobbling, and no side play anywhere — this mouse also feels as solid as a tank. When you hold it and squeeze it in the middle though, you might experience some creaking though — that’s what I had in my copy. Nothing major though but must be noted here. [Dongle compartment is nicely tucked in](https://preview.redd.it/npqjiv8zwvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ad9fc483b4e2b0f86f006ee9a03a5bc278c5b6b) Everything else from the cable to the receiver to the packaging screams good quality — even the 8k dongle has a rubberized foot to prevent some sliding on your desk. Zowie has really nailed it on making the U2 feel like a high-end, durable product. However, and I have to say this, Zowie quality here is unmatched. The coating on the M7 Ultra is very good in terms of grip. After a few minutes, once your hand warms up, it really locks in and becomes one of the grippiest surfaces out there. Honestly, it’s probably one of my favorite coatings across all peripheral brands. And it’s not a fingerprint magnet like Zowie’s and any dirt/mud residues are very easily removed. *Bottom line? Coating in both mice is good yet different, but Zowie edges Mchose in terms of build quality, to no surprise* # Buttons and Clicks The primary buttons on the M7 Ultra are really good, with almost no pre or post-travel — super light, snappy, and perfect for spamming clicks. Mchose opted for mechanical Omron Optical switches, which feel dependable and consistent, however, they sound metallic and have a very specific feel, not my favorite. But they are well implemented here, however, there’s some small side-play on the main buttons on my copy. The side buttons have stepped up compared to earlier models, where pre-travel was a major annoyance. They’re less spongy now, but still not quite on par with the crispness of Razer’s side buttons in terms of overall feel. The scroll wheel seems very solid too — it’s smoother and has very well-defined steps, it’s easy to spam, plus it’s quiet. No more accidentally waking up your girlfriend during those late-night grind sessions. *Bottom line? I’d say it’s a tie between preferences: some prefer mechanical Huanos from Zowie, some prefer optical Omrons from Mchose, even though the latter have smaller latency.* # Sensor and Polling Rate The Zowie U2 features the PixArt PAW3395 sensor, a well-regarded choice for wireless gaming mice. It’s still a good one but Mchose didn’t go the easy way here. They feature the best-to-date PixArt 3950 that is capable of doing 8k in both wired and wireless modes without breaking a sweat. The implementation of this sensor in the M7 Ultra appears to be really good, showcasing all the expected advantages without any noticeable drawbacks. In my experience, there have been no issues with spin-outs, sensor tracking, or any form of skipping, indicating that the sensor performs reliably under various conditions. The responsiveness of the mouse is also commendable, providing gamers with the precision and speed they require. [Side view](https://preview.redd.it/pdic5sf6xvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8292321609abe02cf61f1b536bff5aa589f8231c) Not to bash U2 here — their implementation of PixArt 3395 was also commendable even though capped at 4k polling rate and 3200 DPI, but when you have a choice, I’d recommend going with 3950, because it just gives you more options and has higher potential software-wise. Battery life on M7 Ultra lasts around 1 week on 4k polling, U2 lasts around 12 days but on 1k. The only good thing here is that Zowie features the Enhanced Received that also works as a charging dock, but it’s not worth paying more than twice for U2 when you compare it to M7 Ultra. *Bottom line? M7 Ultra features better tech inside and better battery life management.* # Software and Battery Life Software? What software? Zowie has never meant their mice to have software, it was always designed for plug-and-play. I always liked that but I feel this is 2025 and some things perhaps should change. And that’s where Mchose slightly edges over Zowie. [Mchose driver](https://preview.redd.it/3ifr08e3xvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22ea95f4234cfdae79d8eaa96cbc5a6453c36f46) Lightweight driver from Mchose offer customization to most of the potential that 3950 sensor has. It’s not on the RAWM software (which is fantastic) but you can take control over features like Motion Sync, Angle Snapping, Ripple Effect, LOD, macros, DPI levels and polling rate adjustment, double-click speed or e-sports mode (where the power consumption increases but latency decreases) or key debounce time. But it has some bugs and UI glitches, so I urge Mchose to keep working on improving it. [Software options](https://preview.redd.it/0bpqazi8xvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eaf9b1518ba436e7f16aafc93925c403949a8bb7) Some translations are missing, like in LOD section where we should be allowed to choose 0.7 mm as lift-Off distance because that’s what this sensor is capable of. I know this needs more work because when I selected this option in the software, the sensor didn’t cut off where it should have. *Bottom line? Even though not perfect, Mchose software offers more than Zowie’s solution, especially in 2025.* # Skates [Forgot to take off the protective plastic here :\)](https://preview.redd.it/jupgqfxbxvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9caabd062768013a53750d0c4b4e2137ded15675) Both M7 Ultra and U2 feature those black and slow teflon skates. Over some time, the ones on Zowie speed up a little, but it’s still not the best option when it comes to glide. Mchose chose similar skates and I’m not a fan of those either. Pretty muddy on slower pads, glide leaves a lot to be desired too. Zowie just recently started adding pure PTFE into to box and I wish Mchose did the same. *Bottom line? Zowie, but only because they now add white PTFE skates in the boxes, something Mchose should do as well.* # Pricing Price is the biggest differentiator between the Zowie U2 and Mchose M7 Ultra. At more than twice the cost, the Zowie U2 clearly targets the premium gaming audience, offering good performance, great build quality, and nice features. On the other hand, M7 Ultra has carved out its niche as the leader in budget-friendly gaming mice, delivering impressive performance at a much more affordable price point, all wothout sacrificing most of the quality Zowie offers. When it comes to “price-to-value,” Mchose remains the undisputed champion and gamers looking for great performance without breaking the bank should clearly see the better choice in Mchose M7 Ultra. *Bottom line? No contest here, Mchose wins by a longshot.* # Gaming Performance I remember that using the Zowie U2 for gaming was generally okay, but I had noticed some drawbacks at times. The higher latency (8 ms in normal mode and 5.5ms in fast mode) and restricted polling rate made my tracking and fine adjustments feel slightly off at first — not awful, but definitely not seamless. Over time, I adapted to it, and my performance became decent, though it was still nowhere near exceptional. Mchose M7 Ultra towered over U2 in terms of gaming performance, in all games played. Stability in hand was much increased due to slightly bigger shell and my tracking was way better, nearing 50% LG vs decent opponents in pov duels (I had around 40% with U2). The grip stability (wider shell where you grip the mouse) also played an important role. Also, the optical switches + 4k polling rate added to overall very snappy and responsive feeling that I had during my gametime. I could also count on battery because I didn’t have to recharge it every other day. Mchose M7 Ultra has been one of the best-performing mice in the last year that I have tested, beating Zowie U2 with ease. *Bottom line? M7 Ultra performs just better.* # Summary [Very solid build and great orange color keep your eye on this mouse](https://preview.redd.it/3xzi5nhgxvie1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37c6b3651e7d4088899b11d62d5d0bb1ce69fd32) The Zowie U2 gaming mouse didn’t meet my expectations. It lacks higher polling rates without an additional 4K enhanced dongle, has a capped DPI which seems behind the times, and there’s no software to optimize the 3395 sensor. Given it’s 2024, we should expect more from this tech. Also, the default skates are really subpar. Moreover, I couldn’t get my 4k Enhanced Receiver from Zowie, even though I filled all forms and was admitted one — it just never reached me and Zowie seemed to stop caring. Terrible customer support Zowie. Mchose M7 ultra fixes and improves a lot over U2 though — much better shape, better performance, better sensor, higher polling rate, better battery… to name just a few. Zowie leads only in build quality and skates department (if we take the white Zowie skates into account ofc). I always thought U2 was for me until I found M7 Ultra — it’s just superior to Zowie. And I tell this as a former Zowie fan. # Bullet Points * M7 Ultra is much better offer when it comes to price, why pay almost 2x more when M7 Ultra tops Zowie’s U2? * solid build quality (worse than Zowie though) with only some small creaking on my copy * good and grippy coating * perfected U2 shape * lower weight and better weight distribution than in U2 * nice color options and different versions to choose from * 8k dongle is included in the box * average stock skates * very good battery life on M7 Ultra * software good enough but should see some upgrade **Mchose M7 Ultra will definitely stay in my rotation.**

We definitely are at peak. The sensors are so good to the point where you can’t even tell the difference with just the naked human eye. A mouse and more to come eventually where you can adjust the increments of your dpi by just 1 dpi at a time. Mice weighing below 40 grams with polling rates high enough it drains the heck out of your battery or it’ll cause heavy stutters, especially if it’s not high polling rate friendly. The clicks on all the mice I’ve tried, GPX 2, viper v3 pro, beastx max, and Lamzu Atlantis…. They all felt the same latency wise. The only mice where I’ve clicked and felt like the quickness of its latency was the xm2w 4k and op1 8k. Even zowies mice dw series clicks feel just about the same as any other new release latency wise even though it’s higher than normal on paper. But guess what, that’s on paper and we aren’t computers lol. The race to see who’s mice are better than the other are fun but in reality… something we don’t want to admit is they are all basically the same thing but with different shapes and different weights. It all comes down to how it’s implemented. It’s crazy to hear we live in a day that people legitimately call 60 gram mice heavy. If it continues they’ll soon start calling mice 50 grams heavy lol

No Zowie on the FPS list is kinda crazy to me. Zowie is BenQs mouse brand, it’s a no frills very high quality mouse. No software no firmware updates, 4 DPI presets. They are consistently the best FPS mice I’ve owned. On the flip side, Logi G600 is hands down the best MMO mouse, it actually promotes me to be so lazy with keybinds I find myself using it in games other than MMOs. Protip: the older Logi Gaming Software works way better than the newer LGS for the G600.

More like user issue to me. Some people out there are just bad and doesn’t take care of things. If you take care of something, It’ll take care of you. Stay away from Logitech and Steelseries. My glorious O is 5 years old now. I had my Benq Zowie for more than a decade and I still use it. Still have my Deathadder, Mamba, Spectre and Naga throughout the years. Zowie is always been my mouse and I bought one from 2022. I use my 10+ year old on my laptop.
